Will the teller at the front looked at us. My mom said I would like an account. Mr. Will said do you have a passport, electric bill, and some form of id. Can you supply that today with a serious face. The attitude sucked and this younger punk teller was acting like my mother had no money. Young teller never judge the book by its cover because we were willing to be a great customer for your bank. However, first impressions mean everything. So loosen up your tight buttons and treat the customers well because you never know the story of your customers. read more

First of all, I'm not even the owner of the account -- my husband is. His English is limited, so I'm speaking for him. He deposited a check from a well-known, reputable auto dealership last Saturday. By Wednesday, the funds were still on hold, so we physically drove all the way to the bank to find out what was going on. We were told the money would be released the next day. But yesterday, we went back again, and nothing had changed. We explained -- again -- that we urgently need these funds. We wouldn't be driving in heavy Vegas traffic to Henderson and back for fun, especially since this bank only has one single branch in all of Clark County. The manager then told us the funds still weren't available. We asked why. Suddenly the reason became, "Oh, it's the first check deposit"--which is simply not true. We already deposited a check before from our home equity. Then they switched the explanation to "fraud prevention," as if anyone could just fabricate a check from a certified auto dealer. The manager said she'd email someone in Chicago and that we should "wait another day." Well, today came -- and the funds are still locked. We even asked if they could release at least part of the money. Nothing. No help. No discretion. No effort. We know there are laws that require banks to make portions of deposits available, so none of this makes sense to us. My husband has had this account for a year -- never overdrawn, never an insufficient-funds notice. He has his direct deposit here. He always maintains a balance in the thousands. And yet, when we actually needed help, this bank did absolutely nothing for us. At this point, we've completely lost trust. Once this mess is finally resolved, we're done. We're closing the account and we will never bank with them again. read more

This credit union used to be a good place to do banking, this is no longer true one time was a great place to do business. Now they rip you off any way they can . I believe they are having big financial problems because they used to be fair and honest . This is no longer true. And yes they hold deposits as long as they possibly can . The urge every one to not bank at this credit union. I've had the worst experience here. Opened a bank account with a refund check from the IRS and according to protocol it was held for 10 days, no problem. I came in here after waiting 10 day and now they indicated that it was going to a be freeze on my account for an additional 15 days without any answers as to why. They just kept saying it was the back end, it's the back end. We can't give any other reasons why. STAY AWAY!! read more

Decent Credit Union. I prefer a Credit Union to banks, but there are few tricks. Specifically they are open 9-5 and Wednesday 10-5 which is 39 hours. ATMs are often out as they are today so you have to use other ATMs and get charged a fee. They are closed on Saturday's. So while they have some benefits, there are large limitations. read more

Was banking here for a while. Got an email telling me them to shoot them a call because they needed paperwork. I called and they said I was up to date and didn't need to do anything. Move forward a few months and they close my account without warning and I see they took my money out so I called. The lady I was on the phone with told me someone came into the store, cashed out, and closed my account. I was at work the day she said that happened so we reported fraud. A few mins later a dude from CU1 called and said that didn't happen and that they have my check in the store. Luckily that part was true and did receive my check but none of this mess should've happened and the communication there is the worst I've ever dealt with from a bank. Never coming here again and I recommend you don't either. read more

Anytime I need assistance with banking needs and or requests. I am able to speak with a person. The customer support is extremely helpful, except in one case where the person I spoke with gave me the run around. Told me she would call me back however did not. And when I called her , after telling my name she Hung up! I had my husband call on his cell and she then responded. I did not understand what her issue was in giving me the information I needed. I am SO glad this recent experience was up to the standards of good / Great customer service I had been accustomed to in the past where the person I worked with (Shanee S. ) was a pleasant experience. Went in last night to make a payment. They didn't wanna take it because I didn't have the exact amount so they couldn't give me change??!!! store was closing in five minutes. I went to a close store to get change and when I came back. They couldn't even have waited. One minute. I got back at 6:01 and the store hours on Google are incorrect. They are not open on Saturdays!!! I wish there was an option for no stars because that's what I would've given them!! read more

Credit Union 1 was the bank we first got an account at when moving to Vegas in 2011. This bank was amazing back then. It felt like it was all one big family and they really took care of you. I don't know if it was Covid or what but the bank has gone downhill quite a bit over the last several years. They are down to just one branch and the branch hours make it very difficult to get anything done if you need to see a teller. Anytime I have had to try and call someone over their customer service line I have extremely long wait times or no one is available. I once tried called the only branch on a weekday at 2pm and did not receive an answer after 12 attempts to reach someone. We used to love this bank but just can't do it anymore. Have already opened another account at another credit union. I don't recommend that you use this bank unless they can fix some of their existing issues. read more

Quite literally the worst fkn bank ever. You can never speak to anyone directly. The stupid ai robot can't understand half of what youre asking. The hours say they are open on Saturdays from 9am -12pm but then you can't get anyone on the phone. Forcing you to drive across fkn town to fix a simple problem. A problem that shouldn't have happened in the first place. Wtf told them to place a $1000 daily spending limit ON MY FKN MONEY!? Recently purchased a vehicle through a dealership. Dealership located the lowest interest rate through Credit Union 1. As soon as the loan was available to manage online, I made a manual payment, then linked my checking account to it (verified the 2 test transactions) and set up auto-pay. When I noticed my 2nd monthly payment was not auto-debited from my outside checking account, I contacted the bank. I was told my auto-pay setup did not take. No one knows why. I immediately made a payment, but was told a late fee of $25 would be applied. I requested a one-time late fee waiver as it was their system's inability to take the autopay that caused the late fee to be incurred. Credit Union 1 denied my request. 1 week later, I was charged a $47.77 late fee, not the $25 I was told the previous week. After another week, 5 chat sessions and 2 phone calls, I finally got the $47.77 late fee waived. If you have a loan through Credit Union 1 and you set up autopay, I highly recommend you closely watch their system. Also, if you are charged a late fee for their system error, you must be diligent to get it reversed. I have since refinanced my loan due to the poor experience in the first 3 months of the loan with Credit Union 1. read more

Like many other once happy members....ever since they stopped being a smaller credit union, and began buying up a bunch of other banks, their service is starting to remind me of some other large poorly ran mainstream banks that had to eliminate customer service for expansion. Like another review...I too am constantly being harassed with my debit card being "fraud alerted"....except it's not me or any other human doing it.....it's rather an automated system that "picks and chooses" whom it shuts down the use of the debit card. Despite a constant high balance in the account...amazingly I had to verify lemon cookies and tampons purchase of $10.99, but did not have to verify a $1000 purchase???? Strange, as the larger amount would probably be worth verifying in a logical world... This is why you NEVER have all eggs in one basket...make sure to have various accounts people. Their blocking my debit card....for like the 20th time.....caused some of my bills and investments to lapse this time....ALL WITHOUT A NOTIFICATION, EMAIL, OR MESSAGE! Luckily, I just paid with a different account, and kept things moving. Its not like I am trying to buy a Lion or or a rocket or something out of the normal transactions people...this is the problem with automation....no discretion. Lemon cookies flagged my account for fraud in the past!!!!!! And this time, a secured credit card....so that I may spend responsibly....created a "fraud alert"...because hey....who in the world actually wants to budget themselves these days???? Remember, address same, name same, all verifying info same as bank, yet fraud? That tells you, the algorithm is based on something else, it has nothing to do with verifying information people!!!! This type of banking is micro managed banking....not my style, I can't ever know if I can safely purchase feminine products or use my money for cookies, eggs, or sneakers,, and not get flagged to check in with mom and dad bank before the approval.....NOPE...making a change. read more
