We have been with Credit Union 1 for over 50 years. I loved doing banking here because it didn't matter where I was in the world. Last Fall it all fell apart! Their phone banking system will not let me on to move money and it took forever for me to be able to access our account. I am one step away from closing our accounts and finding another credit union! I would think they would have been able to rectify these problems by now but no. Needless to say I have had to call multiple times to get to be able to access our money so many have graciously helped me. The last two ladies were Sam and Terra from NV. They, as well as others, have been excellent helping me do what I needed to do. What the future holds I do not know but it better all work next time or we will be saying good-bye to CU1. read more

I have been banking with Credit Union 1 for over 10 years and have been making atm cash deposits consistently for months . On November 12 between 4:46pm-4:55pm I made a normal atm Cash deposit at the Paseo Verde location in Henderson . I inserted my bills after entering my card's pin . Instead of the feeder counting my bills it made them disappear and read a error message "unable to read depository " but the bills were gone ! I immediately asked for the card to be returned option and unfortunately did not get the option for a receipt . I looked over at my friend in the passenger side and said the atm just took my money . I hurried to put my card in again hoping the cash I just deposited reflected in my checking account to no avail it read the same balance it did before I made the deposit . The deposit was made on a Saturday and during after hours however I still attempted to reach anyone within the credit Union family to let them know what happened . Yet I couldn't reach anyone while sitting at the atm machine I took a picture and sent an email to the email domain I found on the site . I eased my mind knowing I did atleast take these steps and I saw it was cameras above that would obviously show my car and me and my now witness . The following Monday I called and spoke to someone that was not empathetic nor sympathized with $1600 of my money missing. She advised they needed the exact amount . I had to guess because I didn't count the exact number before putting it in I just knew the range of the amount . I advised her either way the machine runs audits and it surely should be an overage from that day . I called the next day and spoke to Becky . She sympathized and explained she would have someone from the audit team call me back and they didn't she would call herself . I never received this call or the next few promising calls over the weeks , there were claims my number was not correct but they verify me everytime I called , no voicemails left , and no email sent . This vicious cycle went on past the holiday into December . I have spoke to 10-14 representatives and went into the branch for help . I had been advised several things . I never received 1 follow up call . Finally I thought I was going to be able to breath when I called and got the higher up in the branch and she advised the accountant that was working on my case advised she could deposit the amount as a good faith credit until the people that handle the audits finished their investigation however it came with a caveat " if they happen to not approve the credit , Credit Union will then come for the good faith credit !" This has seriously been a night mare and time consuming . Where is the loyalty of the bank and security for Credit Unions 1 customers . I'm in disbelief that the amount of my cash that disappeared at their atm has to even be approved . The bank makes $00000s a day holding money for others , through opening loans , cds and they can't loose a few $100 so what makes them think I can . They don't know if that was my last $1600 or if I had to burrow it to pay the bills I was going to pay for it . In my opinion they don't care . I will be canceling my account when this is over . I'm pretty sure it does not take 3 weeks to do an audit and I'm pretty sure the malfunction happened to possibly another person . I wanted to bring awareness to using atm's ,please get recipes if you can , video record your transactions , or if you can go inside the bank go and banks stop being so unavailable and untrustworthy because we are trusting you , you're holding my money . They literally are pushing us to rely on the machines with 1 teller in the bank and shorter operating hours. Til this day I am still waiting ... read more

I hate this bank so much. The employees at this branch are helpful and friendly, hence the second star. But this bank? Run far away. Despite always maintaining at least a five-figure account balance, my card gets declined all the time. Ten bucks at McDonalds and it's my only purchase of the day? Declined. Fifty bucks at Walmart? Declined. Try to log into your checking app to see why? Gotta re-verify your account and enter the text code...for the third time in a week. Think you can call and try to figure out what's going on? Good luck. They're closed all the time. They don't have after-hours call reps, except to reset your online password. Their fraud algorithm is ridiculous. We order takeout at least once a week. They blocked my account because I used DoorDash instead of UberEats. Their website is trash. I'm currently trying to transfer money to a family member who also uses Credit Union 1. So you have to use a specific kind of transfer. Only it won't take their account number. When I get it to accept the account number, it then declines the transfer. It's ridiculous. read more

So I got to this place by chance. I had just traded in my rogue for a Prius (lol- stupid gas prices). While Toyota was doing my credit check (stupid credit checks), I got a call from this bank as I am attached to an account here that I was unaware of. Anyway, they called to tell me that they could give me a lower interest rate on my car. Well, as an adult who tries to be responsible, this piqued my interest and so I went in. The place is super clean and the front tellers were all very friendly. I made an appointment with Alexis who would help with all of my loan needs. I felt extremely comfortable with her and when I found out she was also from Hawaii, I knew I found the right loan officer for me. She is knowledgeable and was patient with my millions of questions. Alexis also helped me with the promotion on opening a checking account with them and getting $500 if you switch your direct deposit (at least $1000 a month) to this bank. I learned today that your direct deposit can be deposited into different banks and accounts. You learn something old everyday. Anyway, thank you to this bank and specifically Alexis for your time, expertise, and support. I look forward to my continued partnership with them. read more

First they stopped allowing Shared Branch no access outside or inside except for withdrawal from ATM and now they Charge $3.00 to withdraw money .. and I also have an account with them so now I have to pay to get money to put money in my Credit Union account read more

Employees are professional and willing to help. No help when escalating the issue up the chain, above anyone in the branch. I took out a couple of car loans and to my surprise, you can't pay down the principal unless you call on the day your loan payment is due. This is ridiculous, I have never heard of such a thing. I tried to escalate the issue, never got a call from anyone but a supervisor at the branch. Very disappointed, lesson learned. Do yourself a favor, read the other reviews and read reviews of other Credit Unions and compare how bad CU1 is. I blame myself for not having read the reviews prior to opening my accounts with this CU. Go elsewhere and save yourself a lot of aggravation. read more

We have been financing our cars with credit union one for years and no other bank has been able to beat their interest rates. I found this bank online and since it was a credit union I wanted to establish a relationship. Timothy called wanting to verify some info and went over the terms 19% interest WOW! Later in the day I received another email saying my loan was declined. I didn't want that 19% interest anyway but wow I'm in the wrong business! read more

This bank flipping sucks! ATMs... can't deposit money at the actual banks... you have to find a "co-op" location.. can't do any banking on Saturday's and Sunday's... No one is available on the phone... if someone wants to transfer money or deposit money into your account... nope can't do that. They want them to be on your account.... Why if someone owed me money and they set up for example to have Money withheld from their employment check and transferred to mine... thats not allowed?! Or let's say my brother is paying me Back some money and Goes into the bank to deposit money into my account... he can't do that....?! The person "HAS" to be on my account?! Uhhh that's the dumbest reason I've ever heard. You have to call them to allow a larger Daily withdrawal. You can't set that up... you have to call daily if that is the reason. And they make you answer questions like it verifying your name for a credit score.. FYI.. "what street have you been associated with in the last 15yrs.. a: elm street. B:2nd street c:star Rd. Or d: none of the above... answer about 5 of those questions they can help you out for just a day. They have horrible online banking. I will be closing my Account. I'm so over this. This bank is more of a headache than anything. read more
