Range targets have a bunch of pre-programmed scenarios (i.e. shoot/no shoot drills, reload drills, charging drills, increasing distance drill) or if you can create your own. Very clean with probably the best air filtering system in town. Biggest thing I like is you are not limited to an hour. You want to shoot for an hour, Great. 1 1/2 hours Great, want to leave and go have lunch and come back, again Great. All of this for one price. No more kicked off the lane in exactly 60 minutes. Gun rentals are only 5.00. They also have memberships with NO initiation fees that basically pay for themselves if you go 2 times a month. If you've read this far you can see I really love this range. I don't work there but I've been a member for 5+ years. They didn't pay me for this either.

We had to submit our IDs and read the full T&C in order be eligible to get in the range. They didn't rent googles and ear muffs, but they sold them for decent price. Ear muffs were $15, and goggles were only $5. After the registration process, then we moved to the gun rental area where a staff member showed us different pistols and riffles. He was very knowledgeable about different types of guns and ammo. He also gave us a detailed brief on how to hold and reload the guns. After all the paperwork and crash courses, finally we went able to walk to the range. It was indoor and super loud due so nearby parties using big guns like shotgun and snipers. But overall it was easy to control the poster hanger and shoot from the window. We had an hour to use all the ammo. Once our time was up, we took the items back to rental area. We got our IDs back once the return was complete. Then we when to the registration counter to pay our dues. We were group of 5 friends and the kind staff member allowed all of us to split the bill and pay equal amount. It came to $45 per person for 2 guns (rental), 70 bullets and goggles. It was very reasonable price in my opinion. Overall a solid gun range but got some room to improve.

I grabbed this class on a Groupon for a great rate and when I found out it was 10 hours of class I was dreading it, but it was actually so much fun. Unlike most CHL classes that I've heard about the instructor (Mark Payne) actually broke up the important facts and information that you really need to know with interesting stories, videos and clips to help demonstrate what he was talking about and help us all understand the importance of the information he was covering more quickly. Since I went to one of the all women's classes he came prepared with a large number of handguns that everyone could come up to the front and pick up to see how they feel. This was important because most of us had not purchased a gun yet (wanting to know how to use it first) and he took time to talk to each of us about what we might look for in a gun. He also brought fake bullets and allowed us all to practice loading a clip throughout the class so that by the end of the day when we went to take the firing range test we felt confident in loading the clip on our own. I can't say enough how FAST the day flew by, it's what we were all saying on every break and the information was so interesting and Mark was so funny (while still getting across how important it is) that it was very enjoyable. The firing range test was a little nerve-wracking but Mark and his family (who run the company together) are very good at helping you become comfortable and confident, even when firing for the first time! I know I would not have done as well without his help, and I definitely wouldn't have my CHL! If you're looking for a class, GO HERE, you won't regret it!

Then he helps you make your gun handling and shooting MUCH more smooth and effective. In my case, I signed up for a private lesson. As a woman, I was used to shooting rifles (had livestock and therefore problem predators occasionally), but not my handguns. When I bought a new handgun, I wanted to get training on handling and shooting it, quickly, effectively, and accurately. That's what I'm getting. And can't believe what I've learned already to prevent jamming, to increase speed while keeping accuracy, etc. And his rates? Very affordable. And great gun range out in the country: perfect place to learn. Sandy teaches all levels, from beginners to professionals, from personal protection to concealed carry. After patronizing Eagle Gun Range, I agree with the high rating. The attendant, an older gentleman with blue eyes and well kept hair and appearance answered all my questions politely. He informed me of their membership options without being pushy. They even let you shoot forced reset trigger/bump stock and shotguns in their indoor facility which I perceive to be a bit rare these days. I didn't have the full auto weapons but nice to know they allow it. I did enjoy my experience. Prices are probably in line with the market. Gun range shooting is never going to be the cheapest outing, but in the opinion of me and other citizens, it's a necessity to be able to practice our constitutional rights to shoot a gun.
