Lols We go because it's close to our house and a good spot for a playdate since it's like a huge sandbox for the kids. There are sand toys there so no need to bring your own. It's super casual inside with plenty of seating so good for groups. There are tables with umbrellas... There is a big parking lot but I've seen it pretty full on the weekend. When you walk in, it actually feels like you are at a dive bar in a fun beachy town. You order at the window, take a number and they'll bring your food to you. There is a large menu on the wall next to the soda dispensers. I usually get a couple tacos and my kids get the chicken nuggets. Again, nothing to rave about but the food does the job. I would get the fries over the rice and beans at least bc the latter two aren't great. I've had the steak burrito in the past but for $15 it's not worth it. Not very flavorful but they're big. I've been here a ton and tried all their tacos but now and most of their appetizers. I haven't been disappointed so far. We love this place because there is not a restaurant geared towards families like this. There are areas to sit that is far away from the kids so anyone who doesn't want kids running around can sit on the other side. My favorite tacos are the pollo caliente, and the crunchy tacos are good but I recommend getting a sauce to dip them in if you're a saucy fan! My family has been coming to Creek Side Taco Shack for several years. We love the beach atmosphere and casual seating. It's a great spot for kids and adults alike! I always get the Creek Side Bowl with chicken or shrimp and we split the chips with salsa/guacamole. Unlike some of the reviews, we haven't had any problems with the caliber/quality of service! Everyone is super friendly and attentive. You do have to order at a "window" and then take a number for the food to come out to you, so it is not a traditional sit-down style restaurant but we love that! It's a fun and different place to eat and honestly would be such a fun establishment to celebrate a rehearsal dinner or company/family party! My reasoning for 4 stars is the price - it is really expensive in my mind for a family of three. The ambiance is pretty fun, if you want to feel at the beach with your toes in the sand this place is it, without the water. There were a lot of families which was nice because it is a kid friendly place, at least during the day. The food is okay, your typical Americanized Mexican food. Super disappointed with the service. Asked for light strawberry in the margarita and it was almost extra strawberry. Drinks were flat, asked for them to check the carbonation and the young bartender was rude. Said there wasn't a problem but she remade them anyway. Gives a backyard beach party vibe, lots of soft sand so if any of your party has trouble walking, stick to the patio seating. The ordering is at the bar window and the music was a little loud so the folks taking orders said "huh?" A lot, give those poor employees a break they need to hear too!! Haha! Overall I would say the taco toppings outweighs the meat portions in the tacos, and as they are a lil pricey for tacos that come with zero sides (rice and beans) I'd say add some more protein! It came with a small side of salsa. It was very crunchy and surprisingly not greasy at all. I actually would've preferred it to be a bit greasy. It was ok, pretty bland and not much flavor. I had to add extra salsa and guacamole. It was still bland. One of my friends got their chips and guacamole. The chips had zero salt, and the guacamole was very sour. Really don't understand why they don't use salt to flavor their food. How hard is that? It is a great place to hang out but the food is just not good. My son loved playing in the sand and such a laid back place. When ordering there's a place you walk up to order and they will bring out your food. I ordered the Chicken Tacos. I added some guac from our chips and guacamole and some of the sauce that came with the mini chimichangas. Which I will do every-time now. So good! My Husband got the chimichangas and he liked them. Someone in our party had a bowl it came with a side of ranch and we used that to dip the chimis in and 10/10. My little one got a kids meal with the quesadilla French fries and a drink. My family and I have been loyal patrons of Creekside Taco for years and have never had a negative experience--until this past weekend. We visited on Saturday evening and placed our usual order. While my husband was finishing the payment, your blonde cashier handed me the kids' cups, and I walked over to the soda machine. When I returned to the table, my husband looked uncomfortable and shared something that genuinely shocked me: after I walked away, the cashier asked him, "Is her Stanley cup full of alcohol?" To say we were offended is an understatement. First, it's Arizona--we were sitting outside in 100+ degree heat. Having a personal water bottle isn't unusual, especially when dealing with young children. Second, there's a professional way to handle concerns about outside beverages. If your policy prohibits them, a respectful and clear statement like, "We don't allow outside drinks, but we're happy to provide free water cups," would've been completely appropriate. What's not appropriate is making a strong, behind-the-back accusation--especially without any reason or evidence. I've been a bartender for 15+ years, and I would never assume a guest was sneaking in alcohol without clear cause, much less voice that suspicion in such an indirect and insulting way. This experience left a very sour taste, and unfortunately, we won't be returning. I hope Creekside Taco takes this as an opportunity to re-train staff on how to approach guests with professionalism and respect--especially loyal ones. read more

We've been riding our horse to this spot for years and always enjoyed stopping in for a drink along the way. Today, we rode up through our usual route and walked over to order, only to be refused to serve us drinks with our meal by a short blonde staff member who said she wouldn't serve us because we had a beer in hand when we arrived. In all our years coming here, this has never been an issue. We've always been respectful patrons, and this experience was both disappointing and surprising especially on a quiet Sunday when you'd expect every guest to be welcomed. Found this cute little gem in QC! I like the concept for this place especially because the whole back area is just a big sand lot area and a green field next to it where kids can play. Lots of benches and tables are available and different areas for the kids to play in the sand. There are sand toys everywhere but my kids brought their own. We got there around 4pm and stayed until 8pm and it definitely got busy. You have to order at the front and when it's busy, there are lines so it'll take awhile to order. We got the nachos, soft beef tacos, mini churros, strawberry lemonade. Food came out pretty fast since we got there before the rush. I wouldn't say it's the best "Mexican" food out there but it's decent and we enjoyed it and my kids loved their nachos and their mini churros. I wouldn't say service is great because I hardly would see a worker around but overall we had fun experience and it's a nice chill spot to hangout since kids loved playing in the sand especially the weather being nice right now. You have to go up to the counter and order. You get a number and get to sit down where ever you want and they'll bring it to you. I don't particularly like that it's situated like this. It's kind of first come first serve with tables. I got chicken tacos and a soda for $16. It was a good little meal for me because I wasn't that hungry, but I feel like most people would want more and their menu isn't that big. Me and my family came here to stop for a quick drink. The place was very cute and not like any place I've seen in my area. When coming here I would suggest to wear sandals or be prepared to get sand in your sneakers! The staff was nice but you could tell they were kinda rushed. Just like everywhere nowadays the place is understaffed so it takes some patience. The lady who made our drink may not have even been the official bartender as she needed a recipe book in making the drinks. The area is very cute! Lots of kids playing around in the sand. I wish I would've brought my two year old to run around too! Even the bar had some fun aspects to it such as the animal legged chairs. The drinks were tasty, but maybe a little strong. They aren't very big though so maybe that's why. I would have to do a second review when I go back to try food as this experience was only the one drink. read more

It's all about the fried shredded beef tacos! This place is fun. Lots of outdoor lights, games and fire pits. It was very cold even with the heaters so I wouldn't suggest going in January. I bet when the weather is nice this place is popping off. It's tucked away in kind of a residential area of Queen Creek.
