One of the best breakfasts I've had in recent memory. Service was excellent and friendly. Menu was small but well thought out to accommodate varying palates, which is unusual in small Alaskan villages. The chef here prepared our breakfasts perfectly and they were clearly designed by someone with a discerning pallette who enjoys cooking. Creekbend is an improvement on the former Tito's and its much better than many Anchorage restaurants. I'm looking forward to returning. Take note they are closed on TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY!

Visited Creekbend for the first time on a Sunday right when they were closing at 3pm, bummer! Trust Google/website hours over Yelp hours FYI. We visited again on a Saturday evening, a few weeks later for their 5th annual birthday party, "The Hope Hangout." I should mention Google maps doesn't take you to their current location right away but they're not at all hard to find. They'll be on your right hand side once you've passed Bear Creek Lodge and Creekbends liquor/grocery store. Everyone 16yrs + needed a ticket and the event was family friendly. Perfect, perfect, perfect! The tickets were even cheaper than advertised. $40/2 adults. Their cafe was open for food and drink orders. The cafe line seemed to move faster than the outside line where you could purchase beer and wine. Their outdoor concert venue is legit. The hanging lights coupled with the beautiful mountain background is everything. The sound system was crisp. Porta-potties and indoor bathrooms were available. All staff encountered were welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately, Dirty Skillet was all we could handle for food that day. However, we look forward to returning to partake in Creekbends food.

Rating as the concert venue. I do know many people who have eaten here and said amazing things but I went for the diggin dirt show and this is by far my favorite smaller outdoor concert venue I've been to in Alaska. It's amazing and super easy to see the well lit stage from anywhere you'd decide to stand in the crowd or elevated up on the connex.

This is a great place to stop in even in the off season. We had the whole place to ourselves. The restaurant is cozy, family friendly, warm and inviting. Food is good, we shared a plate of cod and crab cakes. Really the crab cakes are great. Menu is well priced. I'd like to come back during the Summer.

So .... If you happen to find yourself in Hope Alaska then you must stop at this GEM. Literally of the beaten path! Service was fantastic. They were happy to see us and we're very attentive. Ordered the jalapeño burger and man o man. The spice!! Wow. So yummy and the meat / bread / condiment proportion was spot on. Eat outside if you can. It's freak'n beautiful. Good local beers on tap. (Ps...Don't touch the poison plants that are roped off...don't be that dummy!...the rope means something!).
Location wise, this is a stunning place, especially if you're sitting out on the deck at the weekend with live music. I'd been longing to come here based on highly rated reviews, how it looks from the exterior, with lights strung around the deck, however, we always seemed to arrive on a day when they're closed. Yesterday (a Saturday) they were actually open, so it was a toss up between here, and "the other restaurant in Hope, that also has live music, outdoor seating and a stunning view" come on, you know where I mean. We opted for this as we were pulling a trailer, and the parking lot is bigger, and we didn't wanna find a camping spot then come back to eat, or I would have literally starved. Upon entering the dining room (no-one was eating inside there) it felt much more like a bar atmosphere, which put me off a little. I'd previously assumed it was a restaurant that sold alcohol, but it seems more of a bar that sells food to me now. Anyway, we chose to eat outside. Selected a table, chose what we wanted - Captain's Basket for me, Reuben for him. I asked for Coke no ice, and server told me "oh we don't have any ice anyway" which, frankly doesn't bother me as I'm English. In England, ice does not come as default. The coke can was chilled from the fridge though. Baskets came out quite quickly. There were 2 small pieces of breaded rockfish, 1 was nicely cooked, the thinner piece was a little over. Maybe 7 or 8 battered shrimp - definitely on the bouncy, chewy side, and the batter a little greasy, as though the oil hadn't quite got up to temperature, and they'd been in there a little long. The Crab Cake was divine though, I'd have eaten a whole plate of them. It was big, round, breaded, with a sauce drizzled over the top.mi love crab cakes, and this was my favourite I've had in a long while. My tartare sauce portion cup wasn't very full, and man I absolutely love the stuff, I like fries dipped in tartare, but after I'd eaten the shrimp, there was barely a smear left. Fries were good and crispy, and you know how much I love my fries. The music was far enough away that it did not interrupt our conversation, and provided a pleasant backdrop, on a sunny evening, however there was a woman sitting on the table to the right of me, who seemed to think that everyone wanted to hear the details of her life, and talked loud enough to interrupt our meal. That is obviously not the fault of Creekbend Cafe, and does not affect my rating of them. She was just annoying and obnoxiously loud. I would come back, I'd probably try something else but on the whole it was a pleasant enough meal, in a pretty setting. read more

If you've ever been to Hope, you know there's not a lot of food options, this is one of your best bets! Tried it twice and thought the lunch was great & the breakfast was just ok. Smallish place with a small bar area and they have outstanding coffee!! Pretty standard menu but the Salmon BLT is outstanding & the Chicken Sandwich was good as well. Service is good and the girls there are mainly locals from the area and LOVE to answer questions!? Prices about average// Talk Later read more

The Biscuits and Gravy, service and music at this great spot are amazing. Worth the stop.

everyone was nice there but the food was nearly inedible. we got salmon BLT and it was burnt beyond imagination - they also messed up the order and wouldn't change it. the ambiance was really cute and cozy, but we paid for a concert ticket that said 7-11 and the music didn't start until 8:30, then ended at 10:15. felt like a bit of a rip off! wish it had gone on longer! read more

This is a "Ya Gotta Go" place. If you are headed to Seward, it's well worth the 16 miles off the road. It's cute and clean and I'll betcha everything on that menu is good. You can easily tell the cooks care and are talented. Service is good and it's a good place to ask questions. But here's the deal... it's a sleeper... ...Hungarian Mushroom Soup! It's at the bottom of the menu, and it was absolutely excellent. After one taste, by bride ordered a bowl. The owner told us that the recipe came with the restaurant. It's a clear broth and not the creamy, starchy style. If you are not an adventurous eater, now is the good time to start. read more

Love this place but communication was bottom shelf. Called ahead when the website stated no tickets available, but we were told they would be available at the door. Arrived at the opening of Hopetober not such a fest and we were declined. Fine not enough pumpkins etc. BUT we were AGAIN told we could buy tickets for music at five. Go to buy tickets at five and declined. WTF, I have two crying kids because they can't go. I don't give a dam but the expectations that were set suck. You are clearly killing it. Just speak the truth. Sold out means sold out. I wish all staff involve triplets and future shit stoms with kids I had the joy of dealing with. read more

First, hands down, some of the best chicken wings on the West Coast, not just Alaska. I am still very confused by the front staff. The first time I went with my son at lunchtime, 12:30, I was told I could only order a basket of wings. I liked them so much that I bought a second basket to bring home and share. My son loved his burger. The second time we went, I brought my wife at 12:00 and ordered 36 wings. I brought a bunch home; they were still amazing. There was no mention of the basket only. The Third time, I called ahead at noon and told they were on a special menu for October, no wings, and they were still on breakfast. Like I said great food confusing front staff. If you can get them wings are great! Chicken sandwich and hamburgers were good as well. read more
In Hope, I can't keep my eateries straight. So many could be loosely described as "cute café with outdoorsy name that's not open in the winter and has live music in the summer" straight. There are many of them. I honestly wasn't sure if I had been to this one before. It was only upon seeing now Yelp review that I'm assuming I haven't. We went here on a Friday night. There was live music, there was hippy dancing, and there was beer in clear plastic cups. Classic Hope! I got the steak and fries and was delighted to see that they actually cooked the steak rare! The food was fantastic! I got a beer that I DO NOT recommend though, it's by Founders and the name mentions agave and lime. I thought it would be a Mexican lager with a suggestion of agave and lime....but it was more like a sticky-sweet cocktail composed mostly of agave and lime, not quaffable! Lots of people seem to love it though, it was just extremely sweet and un-beery. read more

I could not have had a better surprise. We walked in to a folk band playing. The cafe is pretty rustic with a decent menu. Usually in remote places like this, the food is so-so. But, not here. The burger with goat cheese and fig spread made me happy. But, a deeper happiness was just because the ambience here was with the drive. read more

Great breakfast and polite service. Friendly crowd. Biscuits & gravy and chicken-fried steak were tasty and piping hot! Our server was attentive without being overbearing. Nice place to catch breakfast in Hope. The outside patio looks inviting but it was a little too cold to eat out there. I remembered this place from my last visit and it didn't disappoint! read more
Breakfast in Hope: Bagel and Lox with the works. I'm not a breakfast person. Except for this. So good. Waffles are huge and come with freshly made berry syrup. Meat omelet is giant and we were all jealous. Add a side of potatoes. The service is friendly and the place is inviting, just like the entire town. A+ all around! read more

Awesome food, great service, nice beer selection, and cute vibes! One of only a few places to eat in Hope, Alaska, but delicious by any standard! Live music on weekends with a great outdoor setup. read more
Literally in the middle of nothing. We rode a couple of times through Hope wondering where the town was, haha. Locals told us Hope was a hidden gem, but we honestly didn't have the time to visit & fairly make an opinion. We were starved and creekbend cafe served us amazing burgers. We ordered 2 cowboy burgers (meat, onion rings & bbq sauce). They were giant in size and totally consumed. Super casual place, just teenager employees, but everyone was friendly and we left stuffed. Indoor and outdoor seating. Bathrooms. Camping spots for tent & camper rentals available- ask an employee. read more
Wonderful cafe! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great menu selection (everything I have tasted has been on point!). Nice selection of local beers, ciders and wine. Updated decor and very clean. They host an amazing live music concert series almost every (every other in the winter) weekend. Awesome place all around! read more

We finished a rafting trip on Six Mile Creek and had asked our guide for lunch recommendations. Creekbend was one he'd recommended in nearby Hope, and since another place was closed, we checked it out. We were super hungry and this place just hit the spot. Simple food but very well executed. Onion rings were particularly good. Thin and light, not those thick overly breaded ones. And to find a vegan Beyond Burger in the middle of nowhere that was one of best I've ever had? Just a bonus. Clean, casual space with attentive service and some good Alaskan craft beer options as well. Great experience! read more

For the middle of no where not bad but the burger was labeled 1/2 pound but clearly a 1/3 pound burger. Frozen and not hand patties. Cooked too much with no pink and slightly dry. Left it lacking for the 16$ price tag. Decent beer selection though. read more

We stopped by for a cup of coffee while exploring Hope and were so pleasantly surprised by this place that we stayed for lunch too. Coffee was good, service was excellent, good tunes playing, and the Chicken Bacon Ranch wrap was surprisingly the best thing I've eaten since we got to Alaska. Definitely worth a stop. Everything on the menu looked delicious. read more
