Quite possibly my fave of the "Tooth" eateries! The ambiance is definitely a standout compared to BTooth and MTooth. Can't go wrong with a MTooth pizza, but try the tavern style for a crispier crust! I love their Tavern salads and sandwiches. Keep an eye on their specials! Most recent go-tos: Tavern Ranch, Poke and Berries and Goat Cheese. Honorable mentions: King St. Chicken Sandwich and Nashville Hot Chix. I don't think I've had a single meal that I didn't like or love here. Service is Tooth standard. This is a very cool, psychedelic concept with some interesting and creative food offerings but certain things just miss the mark entirely. Now, my first culinary experience with this restaurant was a good one, their cheese burger with honey and whipped Brie?!?!?!?!?! Is a masterpiece disguised as a cheese burger the tater tots on the side? Meh! Nothing to see there. The most mind-binding, disrespectful thing I came across at this establishment is them calling a glorified Little Caesar's quality cheese bread with a side of dipping sauce a "Pizza" if it wasn't enough that this cheese bread was marketed as a "Pizza" which it is not but to call it a Detroit style Deep dish? Unforgivable! I wanted to love this pizza so badly but I cannot allow anyone else to spend $28.00 on a dried out, over cooked order of cheese bread. Well if you like 80's Cardboard Frozen Pizza come here! Total failure of their New Haven Tavern Pizza! Dump this pizza line. Putting quality ingredients on cardboard, it falls down flat, who made this a specialty pizza? I heard great things about it prior from associates, knowing Moose's Tooth and their brand here in Alaska it is highly respected. So I expected greatness. I can buy a better frozen pizza like Amy's at Carrs. My husband Richard picked up the pizza tonight, the cheese was hard, dough was flat and zero flavor so lackluster, didn't travel well from Dimond to Potter Valley. Nope, 86 this Frozen 80's Pizza Line! Garbage. He at least enjoyed the bar, I didn't get any value for spending $30! 1st impression of the Pizza here is a BIG NO! Flavortown Left Anchorage! Pointless concept with unappealing name combined with quasi-metaphysical decor and bland food that misses the mark completely. Chicken Alfredo was thin-sauced with bland flavor and no sign of butter. PRIME dip sandwich for $24 further illustrated the cook's fear of flavor or seasoning and illuminated his love of gristle. First two bites of one half were more gristle than prime meat and spat back onto the plate. The meat itself bland and flavorless. The. au jus was brown water with no hint of flavor or seasoning to help the sandwich. I didn't get through the first half of the sandwich and left the second half untouched. Waiter was unconcerned when I expressed the issue and offered no refund or substitution. If Dennys made a pub and grill it would have food like this. Avoid. read more

Impossible to be sat right away for dinner hours on weekends, we ordered for pickup and our food wasn't what we ordered. I called to confirm my order qnd items, it was correct during this call however, the items were up charged and we were not aware until after we paid. Example, the sandwich had an option to sub the fries for tots, when charged, we were charged a whole order of tots instead of the price/portion of the regular sides. This was an 8$ difference, yes it's that serious. Also 2 stars because the food here has become so bland! I'm a fan of Moose's Tooth, so we ordered ahead for To Go as we were busy. The place has a great look, the bar where I waited was great and the bartender was super helpful. Love the Bar! I asked for a Raspberry Wheat or Hefe, and Mercedes my bartender blended an Apple and Raspberry Wheat which I said was great and ordered. I was hanging waiting on my wife who ordered ahead pick up. Now we read the pizza description at home online first, thin sourdough, the New Haven Tavern Pizza, different and we added 1 cup of pepperoni. Description sounded unique! We got home expecting amazing, we love Moose's Tooth but this was odd. It was super thin and the crust was like the 80's Tombstone Frozen Pizza's. Not what I expected at all. The ingredients fresh but skimpy and were somewhat quality but it didn't turn us on at all. The spicy honey added some zing but the 3 cheese mix didn't hold up well and congealed hard by the time we got home. Yeah, not something we'd be going back for, ever, very flat noted, sorry. Visiting family at JBER, they turned us on to Moose Tooth two years ago. We loved it here as well. We did not have to wait for a table . It seemed brighter than Moose Tooth. We ordered painkillers. They were tasty but I missed the nutmeg and honey coconut rim that Cheddars does. I'm sad I didn't take pics of our cheese breadsticks or pizza but the pizza was pretty basic - just hamburger and onion Thin crust . Great service and great food. Typical Tooth restaurant and I mean that in the best way: lively atmosphere, creative food and drink menu, and excellent service. I shared the Diablo sticks (a must have whenever I visit a Tooth restaurant) and the Red Top pizza with a friend. The Diablo sticks were delicious as always. The Red Top had plenty of cheese and a crust that was pleasantly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I also had the Paloma Spritz cocktail which was nice and refreshing. Parking can be tricky as the lot is small and can feel crowded. Other than that, I enjoyed my experience and would like to return. read more

Every time I visit, new menu items have been added. This time, I got the King Street Chicken Sandwich. It was amazing! Smothered in sweet & spicy king wing sauce with a tangy kick from the coleslaw. They also have onion rings now! They were extremely crispy and not too greasy. They are also very accommodating to allergens. My husband is gluten and dairy free and creates his own pizza. Absolutely wonderful decor/ambiance as soon as you step inside the doors. The design team needs all the high fives for creating such a colorful, artful & happy venue! Foodwise: our tables order was a vodka rigatoni, 2 Cesar salads, a kids cheese pizza & a tavern burger with fries. I believe we ordered the wrong things because no one in my group was really captivated with their dish. My pasta dish wasn't creamy and decadent like vodka-sauced pasta should be, and there was too much chili oil which made everything taste oily/greasy. Beers were ok (but pale in comparison to King St. beers). I also ordered the seasonal eggnog cheesecake which was pretty straightforward with taste, however they served it with watery aerosol whip cream like you buy from the store (cringe). Server was competent and prompt, no issues and she was super nice. Restrooms were also clean and easy to find with baby station. I'd try the Detroit pizza next time, it's apparently what's special to Eye Tooth that isn't offered at the other Tooth's. read more

We all enjoyed our food, but agree that the breading on the chicken sandwiches is too much/thick. We would prefer just grilled or very lightly breaded. Onion rings were super yummy. Having experienced air tooth pizza last time we were in town, we figured it was time to check out this new spot and see if it was as good as the last. We found it it definitely was! An eclectic mix of unique pizzas, solid burgers, and some legit appetizers made for a delightful evening. We wandered in on a Sunday afternoon at about 4 o'clock, and still found that the weight was about an hour. We did have a group of nine, but it just showed how popular the places. That was a recurring theme throughout the week. The outdoor waiting area was really cool. There was some great skiing themed seating with a good number of fires to sit by. There was also limited seating inside. After we got to our table, our server was prompt and took really good care of us. They have a wonderful option of splitting pizzas. That definitely up the rating! The pizzas we grabbed were predominantly meat laden, and every one of them was good. The pizza is that build themselves as spicy definitely packed a little bit of heat, but nothing was melt your face hot. We also sample the number of different desserts. The tiramisu cheesecake was lovely, the banana bread pudding was fantastic, and the dingdong cake was a big hit, among both adults and children! The place is very lively, and at times a little bit loud, but never overpowering, and it created a really nice vibe. This is definitely a place we would frequent if we lived in the area! read more

I came down here for the first time after procrastinating for months. Usually I eat at Moose's Tooth, but finally remembered to stop by for lunch. Eye Tooth, the newest addition to the Tooth franchise, is located at the old La Mex building on King St. off of Dimond Blvd. next to Global Credit Union. Nice atmosphere and interior of the dining room. It's brightly lit with a ceiling-to-floor glass wall that provides a clear view of a large firepit outside to keep warm when you need some fresh air. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I went with a small half Chicken Rockefeller (roasted chicken, bacon, red onions, Roma tomatoes, roasted garlic, spinach, cream cheese, mozzarella, provolone, and parmesan) and half Santa's Little Helper (pepperoni, blackened chicken, bacon, grilled steak, red peppers, cilantro, and a mozzarella/provolone mix) with a side of Diablo Breadsticks (one of my all-time favorites from the menu) and a Caesar side salad. My colleague from work chose the Sweet & Spicy King Wings and a bowl of Jambalaya (onions, peppers, tomatoes, celery, rice, hot link sausage, and blackened chicken with green onions). Our orders took a little longer to arrive which is to be expected with how busy they are. We received the sides of Caesar salad and the Jambalaya first. It was delicious. However, the wings, pizza, and breadsticks arrived all at the same time. The table we had was a small two-seater by the window and we barely had room to place the new arrivals with the side dishes. The dining room is great, don't get me wrong, but tables for two people could be a little wider for more space when additional orders arrive. It was a challenge making sure nothing fell off of the table while we were eating. The pizza and the breadsticks were amazing as usual, hardly a surprise for the Tooth restaurants. Detroit-style pizza, which I wanted originally, is not available on the menu until after 4PM. Most of the familiar pizza and appetizer selections are found here but the lunch and dinner specials vary with each location. Upon looking at the online menus to date from Moose and Bear Tooth, it looks like the Detroit-style Pizza is only available at this location. Hopefully, they can expand this to include all three restaurants and as a regular lunch selection. read more

Love the look and atmosphere. Cool penny art on the walls. Our server was super friendly and service was prompt. We ordered appetizers and shortly after some lunch dishes. I have heard from many that they have a delicious hamburger, but that it is expensive. I ordered their burger and I have to say I wasn't impressed. It was comparable at best to Arctic Burger and Brews $15 burger. The garlic knots were delicious and I was told the chicken wings were delicious. The bruschetta was ok, not great as one might expect from a "Tooth" restaurant. I will try them again to see if it was just a one off experience. read more

Gave the new place a try! I wish they'd post their specials online. We've been here twice now. One time was mid day with no wait second time was given a 45 minute wait and seated in roughly 20 minutes. Serves seem to be hit or miss on getting drink refills which is a pet peeve of mine. Food - five stars as usual. I like the variety in pizza. Regular moose tooth, deep dish or tavern style. I wish you could 1/2 1/2 the deep dish and tavern, but not the end of the world. It's probably just me but the parking lot feels awfully small! read more

DISCLAIMER: they are still in kind of a "soft-opening" phase right now, most of the dining room is not open, reduced hours, etc. I will be grading on a curve, but I will come back and re-review when they are HARD-opened. Coming here made me think of what I thought the first time I came to the 'Tooth restaurants back in 2014 when I had just moved to Alaska: It's like McMenamins but with better beer and the food is actually good! Despite the fact that Eye Tooth (the mountain) is much closer to Bear Tooth (see: https://www.peakbagger.com/peak.aspx?pid=18971 ) ...Eye Tooth the eatery is much closer to Moose's Tooth. Here's how I'd sum it up: In common with Moose's Tooth: - Similar atmosphere - Same pizzas you love - The EXTENDED tap selection (Bear Tooth often only has one seasonal tap, MT/ET have, like, 9) In common with Bear Tooth: - full liquor license complete with cocktail menu - Burgers (expensive burgers) Eye Tooth originals: - Chicago Tavern-style pizzas! This is my favorite type of Chicago pizza (it ain't just deepdish, y'all!), it's thin and crackery and cut in squares. - Detroit-style pizzas! I love these style of pizza (see: "Ranch" in Portland, OR), but I didn't get one since they all are LARGE and feed 3-6 people. The service was a little slow and spotty, but I forgive that because of opening growing pains. I really was impressed that Moose's tooth has two completely new styles of pizza to offer in addition to their classic California-style pizzas (they would never call them that but, that's what they actually are, sorry/not sorry). And they are legitimately different, not just a remix of what they already do! Also so glad that they have the full suite of seasonal ales and lagers. I think Broken Tooth's year-round beers are all pretty average-to-bad, but they definitely have some stand-out seasonals. I rarely get beer at Bear Tooth for this exact reason. So happy to have this new eatery on the southside! A welcomed addition. The artwork in the foyer is something to be experienced! We were grateful to visit Eyetooth for the first time on Valentine's Day, Friday evening. It was busy but we were able to order drinks and hang out by the amazing fire pit! Truly a must! There was also plenty of seating for those waiting indoors. This eatery features both a cocktail menu and the broken tooth brew you know and love. I believe we were ordering off a trial menu. There were plenty of appetizers but I honestly hoped to see a few pastas, if I'm being honest. They have special "Tavern," pizza that is thin crust. We sat near an area that had a brick wall. Very aesthetic. We ordered a few appetizers, drinks, a Tavern pizza and a banana-bread, bread pudding dessert that was most memorable. See photos. Food came out much faster than drinks. Definitely excited to have a new restaurant on the south side of town. The place itself is fantastic. It's strange being in here, remembering the old La Mex and seeing all the changes that they have made. The artwork is fantastic. Love to see show posters to the shows I went to! We arrived at 345pm walked in after the huge crowd we got sat around an hour after we had gotten our buzzer. Was quoted 30 mins but understand it would take longer than normal. It is a soft open. Our server was great and checked in on us more than enough. We got drinks and they tasted great we even got some more. Food was great but my wife wasn't a fan of the new style. I loved it. Thin and different. Similar to some of my favorite pub pizzas. Mac and cheese was good but wish instead of bread crumbs it was chips on top. Excited to have a new place on the south side. While working in Anchorage, we stopped by the Eye Tooth Tavern & Eatery. From what I was told, this is their third location and it opened about six months ago. The décor is fresh, unique, and really inviting. We ordered five different pizzas -- a regular cheese (for a picky eater), the Tavern Pizza (thin crust), Elf on the Shelf, Santa's Little Helper, and the Lu Wow. Each had great flavor and was perfectly cooked. Our server was friendly, gave great recommendations, and kept our drinks full the entire time. They also had outdoor fire pits going, which looked cozy and fun--but it was way too cold for me to enjoy with temperatures in the low 20s! Overall, a great spot with good food, fun atmosphere, and excellent service! Highly recommend trying if you're in the area. read more

Always a good time a Tooth location and trying the new one did not disappoint! Located in the old La Mex location in Southside they've done an amazing job renovating the space. Its still a but loud and hard to hear but who needs conversation with the new show stopping salads and pizzas! We tried their Argula Burrata salad and split amongst 3 people, making it a great appetizer. Their house vinaigrette was very nice and good zing. We followed that up with their Backcountry Tavern style pizza which is a thin crust vegetarian pizza. A really nice alternative to hearty and delicious Moose's Tooth style pizza crust. The toppings were all amazing quality and the finishing olive oil was quite flavorful and elevated each bite. I look forward to trying more of their menu. read more

Eye Tooth brings a lively, welcoming energy to South Anchorage as the newest sibling in the Tooth restaurant family (alongside Moose's Tooth and Bear Tooth). The interior is vibrant and fun, plus a roomy outdoor beer garden with fire pits-- but toooo cold at the moment. Their menu features what else?-- pizzas familiar from Moose's Tooth -- while also introducing unique flatbreads, poke nachos, pastas, burgers, wings, and salads. There's a solid selection of beers on tap and cocktails are DELICIOUS. Service has been (at least the last 3x I've been) friendly and attentive, even on busy nights. Second visit here, this time for lunch. The first was shortly after it opened and it did not yet serve lunch, had a limited menu, and you had to get there at least a half hour before it opened to get a table. The first meal, dinner, was a disappointment for several reasons. We were seated at a table for 2 in the right hand side of the restaurant and it was extremely loud and thus difficult to talk. The pizza was essentially the same as the Moose's' Tooth and was uninspiring. The salad was too. The dessert, a sticky concoction, was awful. The wait staff seemed anxious to get us served and out of there and was at our table it seemed every 10 minutes to take our order, see if we wanted anything else, etc. Today a friend and I went for a late lunch. We were initially, and immediately, seated in the same section and it was loud. I asked if the other side was quieter and the wait person said she thought it was because it was carpeted, so we moved and indeed it was indeed much quieter, and my dining partner and I could talk without shouting. I ordered a Caesar salad, she a berry salad, she had a beer, I had a delicious but pricey non-alcoholic drink and we split a spicey pizza. The salad was okay, but the pizza was very thin crusted, dry, burned at the edges, and the ingredients were had to discern as they were melded into the cardboard-like crust, and while spicy it was essentially tasteless. It was frankly like eating cardboard. I might go back and try other non-pizza items incl the jambalaya, the burger, and pasta but, maybe not. I think this place is overhyped and disappointing. read more

The construction of this place was great! There was an expected wait time but the seating outdoors with the fire pits was perfect to hold large amount of people while drinking. Service was spectacular! Kudos to our server, Julian! He had a great attitude, personality and was fast with knowledge of the menu. Food was delicious and so were the drinks. Great location, service and food! Decor is chic and fresh. First time at this installment of the "tooth" group... it doesn't disappoint

I showed up at this restaurant a few hours after they had opened. I didn't dine in. I ordered to go. It was super quick. I ordered the new Hamburger they offered, which was a little pricey, but came with either tator tots or fries? I can't even remember....I just know that they were crunchy and seasoned really nice. I also ordered the goat cheese bruschetta, which was really delicious! However--you only get 5 pieces that are small and it cost $15 for those 5 pieces. I suggest to the owners to add at the very least 5 or 6 more pieces so that people get their monies worth. The new space is really nice. It has a slight rustic interior with a combination of ski resort and a dash of lounge bar vibe to it. The art murals that were created are absolutely beautiful. The outside with the fire pit is a lovely, loungey, cozy design. I'll be hanging out there in the summer and autumn time. I look forward to experiencing eating in this space with family and friends and trying their drinks and new specials, as well as seeing what they've introduced on the menu. read more

Still maybe working out the kinks i think Caesar salad definitely tastes fishy lol Tavern salad was the closest to moose ranch salad so thats what i went with sad no red bell peppers on it but thats because its a different salad :) Mozzarella sticks this time around still taste more of Parm than anything else on them.
