June had the best time at Springdale! How do we know? She was totally pooped after just one night on the Silver package! We love bringing our dog along when we travel. It's so much fun for her to explore new places and meet new furry friends. But sometimes, we need a little time for ourselves, whether it's a nice dinner or a special event. That's where Springdale came in. During a recent trip to the coast for a family birthday, we decided to board June for the night of the celebration. We went with the Silver package because we wanted her to enjoy group play and have a blast. While she clearly did, I wish we'd known ahead of time that the Silver package doesn't include a report card or photo or I would've upgraded to the Gold package for those little extras. We chose Springdale because we've passed by it so many times and always admired how spacious and clean it looks. It did not disappoint! The indoor and outdoor play areas are fantastic, include plenty of private quarters that I believe have heated floors. We loved seeing so many staff members around, keeping an eye on the pups and making sure everyone was happy and safe. This is the second time we boarded our dogs at Springdale. This time we boarded our two Pomeranian rescued puppies. And this place totally gets dog care. We had a great experience the last time we were here. This time we have two 6month old pups who really needed some socialization. OMG, what wonderful changes we saw. They were clearly happy but notably mellower than before we brought them to Springdale. They were placed in play groups designed for their weight class and personalities. All the staff I met were clearly animal sensitive people and all the staff look happy. No question that we will seek their services for our precious pets. My pup has been going to daycare at SPR for almost two years and I recommend them highly! They have various types and sizes of play areas and the staff has play sessions throughout the day with the dogs. The staff are friendly and helpful and really love the dogs. They also have new activities such as doggie treadmills(!) and bike runs for the bigger dogs. They really take the time to get to know each dog and their personalities. Pierre is always so excited to go to play each day, and he's tired when he comes home. Recently I boarded Pierre for 5 days/nights and they took such good care of him! I cannot say enough great things about this place! I absolutely love the staff they have all been amazing to my family and especially to our sweet girl Emma for almost a year now. I'm so glad I found this place! My pup stayed 10 days for their stay and train. She had a one day trial prior to that stay which was very helpful. When I brought her back she was so excited. Every time I bring her in (once a week now) she cannot wait to play. The training went well. She was a more attentive dog when we picked her up. It's still a work in progress but the trainers are available to help even after the training is done. The facilities are very nice, very clean and not run down. We've been taking our dogs to Springdale for years now. We love the place. It was great before the newer owners took it over, but now it's fantastic. All be it, you are paying a pretty good premium for the fantastic accommodations, great staff and even a new less dusty drive. It is worth it for our Husky pups, peace of mind knowing they are safe and in a loving environment. We recently had the dogs there for a 6 day stay and it ended up being roughly $100 a day. The dogs were happy when they were dropped off, a good indication that they are treated well. They were glad to come home as well, which is totally normal for these goofy balls of fur. Trusting your fur babies to someone new is hard, but Springdale continues to be a home away from home for our pups. We trust them with our very loved dogs. I dropped my dog here today at super last minute as our dog sitter fell through and his usual kennel is full. I called them at 8am and left a message,didnt receive a call back and I decided to email them and within a few minutes, they responded that they have an opening. I sent all my dog's immunization records and right away he was booked. Thus I suggest emailing them as they are more responsive through email. The rate I believe is based on your dog's size. Our dog is about 85 pounds and his daily rate is around $45 however I added the gold package(about $25 more per day) so he can be walked and I can receive a report card. The facility is super clean, spacious and they are well-staffed. And I wanted to commend Aurora and Citlali(sorry if i spelled your name wrong) for being so responsive on all my requests and inquiries. I brought my own dog's food and they took note and added it on his file. Received his report card within 2 hours of dropping him and I could see that he's having a great time. I was super anxious at first im not gonna lie but after seeing how happy my dog was, I felt relieved. This could be our go-to kennel!! read more

We live in Orange County, but visit family frequently on the Central Coast. They took such great care of our Husky during our last trip that this is now our go to dog boarding facility on the Central Coast! Our dog does not like boarding facilities where every dog is together in a small area...it can make him nervous and anxious. At Springdale they are able to group and rotate dogs according to their needs. Plus, my dog loved all the space they had (wish we had something like this in Orange County!). We got pictures and updates on our dog every day and we could tell he was having a great time! I had a very disappointing experience at Springdale pet ranch. It all started on June 15, 2021, Through June 18, 2021, when I dropped off my soon to be 1 year old female German Shepard Roxy. I made her feeding instructions dummy proof but somehow, someway they managed to feed my dog the wrong food for 2.5 days. For that to happen and continue happening during her stay is unacceptable goes to show how staff don't even bother to check if they have the right food for the right dog. When I arrived to pick up Roxy staff at the facility lied to several times in regards to her eating. I was told I would be receiving a call from Sheryl the owner of the ranch but never received a call. Shows they could care less about what they put my dog through during her stay and her stomach issues continued for several days after we picked her up. Once I told them that if I had to take her to the vet they would have to pay for it they never called me back. This place lacks organizational skills they make you go into detail how you feed and what you feed your dog for what if they can't seem to follow instructions. Very disappointing experience will not recommend this dog boarding facility to anyone I know that's for sure. I will attach a photo of the 2.5 days of food I was returned upon picking up Roxy. Dog owners beware go elsewhere. *response to owner Yes manager did call she did not explain the mix up just said food was mixed up she stated that her stomach issues would pass in a few days and also stated some one else would call me to check on Roxy. I however wasn't invited back to the ranch to give you guys another try I don't know we're you got that from but I got the voicemail to prove what was said. Voicemail stated if I wanted to talk about it to return her call that's when she told me of the reason for the mix up. It's funny how your response to this review comes a couple hours after the voicemail was left. Owner blames staff but staff is a reflection of the owners. I'm so appreciative that the staff here was so understanding and accommodating for my two dogs. I have never boarded either of them before, and my 5 year old can be a little "dog selective" and my puppy had never been alone overnight so I had a lot of anxiety. The staff took a lot of time to talk with me, let me roam the grounds and see where the dogs would be, and reassured me that everyone on staff was well trained and would make sure my dogs were safe and had proper guidance. A couple hours after picking them up I got the happiest report card, they were having a great time! They spent their 2nd day in the daycare yard waiting for me and the staff told me my "dog selective" dog did great in the yard hanging out with all the other dogs, she had no issues. I just picked them up and they are immediately zonked out in the car. This was a great experience and I won't hesitate to bring my babies back here again. read more

The Kennels at Springdale is my dogs vacation home and he Loves it. We've been bringing him here for the past few years while we go on vacation. The staff is very professional and goes out of their way to accommodate your pets boarding needs. They also offer a doggie bath so when you pick up your pet they are nice and clean. We always request a bath for our dog the day of pick up. Their pick up and drop off hours are from 9am to Noon and 4pm to closing at 6pm. Their facility is amazing it's clean and well kept. The outside yard areas have artificial turf for your pet to enjoy with out getting too dirty. The boarding rates are affordable with different options. They also offer cat boarding. Took our Mastiff there a few times. This last time we were told not to bring him back because he supposedly lunged and growled at a "new" attendant. There's a lot of questions I have about this scenario because my guy isn't aggressive even to new people. I have had a lot of people come in contact with him that were strangers and he never once growled or lunged so my first thought is how is this person treating my dog and/or maybe the new attendant startled him. Secondly if I had new attendants working I wouldn't be sending them out to a dog of his size alone but maybe that's just me. I will gladly find another place to take him for the future. I think it's safe to say my 14 month old golden Pyrenees loves coming here for day care. When I come to pick him up he lays down on the walk way and wont move, I have to drag him to the car or literally have to pick his 80lbs up. The staff are friendly and great with the dogs.
