Pizza is pretty good. Lunch special is excellent with inconsistent service- sometimes awesome and sometimes really slow. Unfortunately I've had frustrating experiences trying to order pizza to-go here. Today I called in and was told I could pick up my order in 30 minutes. When I got to the restaurant with young hungry child in tow, I was told that it would be another 20 minutes because a big takeout order had come in before mine. Quick shrug and then ignored. At $54 for 2 pizzas and a really challenging location for parking, I give up. I'll go somewhere else for takeout and save this place for unhurried lunches only. read more

Delicious! My friend and I ordered a half Kauai, half Margarite. The thin crust was delicious, we are thin crust people and it was GREAT! We had the pizza delivered to us - it was perfectly warm and smelled amazing! The margarit has quite a bit of garlic on it, so that's something to note for some people. Allowing outdoor seating during the pandemic is a great however an employee continues to disappoint. Multiple of my friends have been refused service claiming that their IDs are too flimsy. In addition to the refusal of service for three people, when asked for dressing for a salad the same employee promised she could but only "if we get to it." We love their food and drinks and understand the weariness of serving underage people i a. college town, but we have been disappointed by their denial for people who are completely of age. read more

reallllllyyy wish they offered Daiya cheese as an option for pizza. Seems like this would be a no-brainer in such a vegan town like Ashland. Some of us are lactose intolerant and are forced to order salad & pretend to enjoy it while we watch our friends drool over their glorious pizzas. After coming back home super hungry I decided to order pizza from this place. Was super excited but when we got it the pizza was so DRY! I paid 40$ dollars for this crap. Memorial Day weekend headed to Creekside pizza for take out. Found it under the street overpass in this great little plaza area with Ashland Creek running thru the middle, very relaxing. Lots of places to eat, sit and many food establishments surrounding too. We were greeted right away at the door by a very friendly young woman and given menus to look over. We decided to get a large half and half, pineapple with ham and combo supreme with 8 hot wings. Wings were SUPER good, we ate them all! But......, sorry guys that pizza crust has no flavor, only ate 2 slices and left the crust :-/ I think it tasted like white bread with a crust. I told my friend take it home because I knew I wouldnt eat the rest of it...... he didnt want it either and he is the one who paid. Since the place was in such a nice area and service was really good, we will try again, some time and get something else other than the pizza. Wings, for sure! read more

I usually hit up both Caldera and Creekside if i'm going out for drinks - they are right next to each other and are, in my honest opinion, the best two places FOR drinks in town. The clientele is pretty much the same as Caldera, they have pizza for around 3 bucks a slice - which is nice when you need to pad your stomach, and they have arrogant bastard on tap. What? that's awesome. Monkey porter too - although not my fav, it's still a porter on tap, for 4$. Awesome. They have sweet art on the wall, and it's kinda dark in there, but i like that ambiance. mini pool table in the back, and really just a nice chill spot. the bouncers (or at least 2 of them) tend to be a bit obnoxious sometimes though, and will powertrip you... which I really don't like. I only knock them down from 5 stars for this reason and this reason only. Other than that, a close 2nd for my favourite bar in town. read more

Looks like a college bar with upscale surroundings. Food is great. Bartender is OK, but he's honest. Especially liked the organic nation gin that they serve. Also the hot wings are great. Very reasonable price, especially considering what a tourist trap Ashland is. I love Creekside, it is my favorite pizza place in Ashland! I have been here so many times, and almost every time the pizza is delicious, the service is quick and the atmosphere is fun and lively. One time, the pizza I ordered was slightly burnt, but that is the only complaint I have. I love the combination pizzas, the flavors are so good and the prices are pretty fair. Spent the day driving truck up from California, had a hotel reservation in Ashland and the young lady at the front desk recommended this place. The pizza was priced well, arrived hot and quickly, and was absolutely delicious. You can tell they use top quality ingredients and try hard to get it right. okay i do not recommend this place AT ALL. it's a nice little bar and restaurant but the service was not good. for start i got a spaghetti and it wasn't good it tasted like some typa of speghetti you would make on a budget, then i had hair not just one or two multiple of pieces of hair in my food. then we never got checked up on or anything after we got our food i had to get a workers attention before they came up to us. then when me and my grandpa went to the bathroom they came and took his beer and dumped it and in return just gave him a little small cup of beer when he still had a little more then half of his beer left. but for the most food wasn't worth the price and service was not great at all. read more

Tried Creekside this weekend and I gotta say, it's pretty legit... A good pizza starts with a good crust and Creekside delivers! The toppings were good, but could have been a little better... The restaurant had a great vibe with funky artwork hanging on the walls... The waitresses were nice but extremely busy... I liked Creekside a lot, but I wouldn't say it was perfect... Going back to the toppings, they skimp on the cheese... When you order a Margherita pizza, you have to have enough salty cheese to counter the acidic tomatoes (if the restaurant makes it with sliced tomatoes, not all restaurants do it this way) other wise it can be a little bland... It wasn't anything a little salt couldn't take care of, but I've never had to salt my tomatoes on a pizza before... The skimped cheese wasn't as noticable on the Combo Classico pizza that we also had, because the loaded toppings on this pizza were stand-alone good... The other thing that bothered my whole party was the smoking section right outside their front door... Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with smokers, to each is own, smoke em' if you gottem'... But when you have 6 to 8 people smoking in a small area, it gets a little overwhelming, and it was enough for everyone in our party to shake their heads and take notice (including our little ones)... The cigarette smoke was the first thing we got when we arrived at Creekside and also the last thing we got when leaving... It was a Friday, so maybe it isn't always like this, but being our first time at Creekside it is one of things that stood out during our visit... Overall, I recommend Creekside... Not only is their pizza amazing and available by the slice, but for some reason they have the best wings I've ever had anywhere in the US. That sauce is amazing. Plus, they have two ranch options: regular or chipotle. Lunch special comes with salad, a slice, and drink for a great deal. Aside from pizza, the walnut pear salad is delicious, great sweet potato fries, and for dessert, the crookie (freshly baked chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream); so drool-worthy! Kick off with the yammer fries alongside a smoky cardamom ketchup with chipotle ranch - hot and crisp, they are not to be missed. Jose's Walnut Pear Salad is a mountain of greatness with huge crumbles of bleu cheese and candied walnuts. The Deadwood is my favorite pizza, and the big one easily served five moderately hungry hipsters. I went for a signature slice this time because I hadn't tried pizza with yams, and with the chipotle ranch dippin sauce I was in heaven. Creekside is also a great spot for live local music with a crowd that is (thankfully) a bit more hip and young than the Shakespeare crowd. read more

If you like thin crust pizza, you have to try this spot! The servers are friendly and the pizza is DELICIOUS! We tried the pepperoni, vegetarian and pineapple with bacon slices. They were all soo good! The pizza was super thin crust but deliciously crispy. The slices were pretty big and stayed piping hot with every bite! My hubby ordered the Cascade Lakes Blonde Bombshell beer and loved it! He also tried the Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA and thought it was ok- but keep In mind he's a light beer kinda guy. I had the Creekside Lemonade and that was pretty good as well. Lightly sweet with vodka- can't go wrong with that. Lol Topped off the meal with the Crookie. Warm chocolate chip and toffee cookie with 2 scoops of ice cream! I have to say it was more like a cake instead of a cookie. It's great for sharing. It comes out in a good sized bowl. This was just ok for me. I am a fan of the Pizookie from BJ's so I kinda had a certain expectation (that's my fault). Hubby loved it. I haven't been in Ashland long. Perhaps this is what passes for pizza. But it is truly not good. My first clue should have been the guy telling me it would be 15 minutes for my pizza to be ready. For a pick-up order. On a Friday night. Which is to say, even assuming there were absolutely no other pizzas waiting on the line-up (on a Friday), if they assembled the thing in approximately 30 seconds and baked it for the entire remaining 14 and a half, there's still no way that thing could be properly baked. And lo, it was not. Everything on the pizza could be more aptly described as "heated." It was hot. But it wasn't cooked. Garlic, onions, spinach and tomatoes were all still raw. Hell, the spinach was on top and uncooked beforehand, which is to say it was a leaf. A leaf. In an oven. You know what happens when you bake a leaf in an oven? Well, if you actually cook the damn thing, it goes up in flames. Seeing as they were only slightly wilted, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the oven was set to warm, not, you know. BAKE. I also got the yam fries (yammers) which were limp and soggy and generally flaccid. They made me depressed just looking at them. They might well be good when they are fresh, but these were decidedly not. Only thing saving this place from one star was the service. We had the best dinner tonight at Creekside Pizza! We'd never been there before. It is on Main Street but down a level so it is creekside. I ordered the caesar salad with chicken and it was perfect. Fresh, crispy lettuce, just the right amount of dressing, and perfectly seasoned chicken. It even had enough croutons to last throughout the whole meal. My husband had a calzone that was a little over baked, but still tasty. Our teen ordered the 14 inch pizza and ate the whole thing! The crust was perfect. I also enjoyed the cocktail menu. I had a Pink Lady, which had blueberry vodka, cranberry juice, lime, and I can't remember what else, but I'm in love. What a nice, basic pizza joint! Their pies are offered with a good selection of toppings and smart combinations. The full bar and the dedicated area for the pool table take Creekside above the level of other Ashland-area options. The pizzas are greasy, but not artificially so. Pesto with oil and cheese is going to run and ooze, right? You're going to get a satisfying, if not gourmet, meal at this bistro. We were disappointed that the only outside eating area was downwind from the smoking tables where plenty of addicts indulged.
