I usually see other pups here when I come for dinner. We had a pizza with an IPA and a peach bourbon cider that was refreshing and not too sweet. Great brewery! Despite living in Oregon, there are only a handful of breweries in the Rogue Valley. GGs is one of the only ones in town! They have a million beers on tap from all over Oregon. There will definitely be something you like if you come to visit. They also have small bites like pizzas and pretzels that are good. Their seating is limited indoors, they mostly have outdoors seating on high tops. Half of it is in a patio and the other half is exposed to the elements. They do allow dogs so this is a popular spot for dog people. On trivia night (Wednesday), it gets PACKED! So plan accordingly. read more

You can see when you walk in they don't appear to have a full kitchen, just one of those pizza maker situations. The food was worse than cafeteria food. The actual pizza may be better. What really stood out to me was the 90 minute! Double IPA with a smooth taste no real bite to it. I normally order a flight but they currently were not pouring flights. They did allow me to sample different ones. Really appreciated their recommendations and didn't make us feel rushed. Ordered the meat combo pizza and chicken wings. Pizza was great! They're ggrreeeeaaatt! Pretty easy to find, right of the main strip and although parking may have seemed tight I found a spot upfront and fast. The environment is as awesome! I'm really feeling 3.5, but I'll be generous. They have a lot of beer to choose from. That is great. I enjoyed the beer that I ordered although I don't actually remember which one it was, but for a place like this that's not important, what's important is that they really do have a very wide selection of many different styles, including ciders. I don't think they had any "domestic" beers though if that's what you are looking for. The wings were meh. Too saucy. The pizza was actually really good. And they had no problem modifying it to our needs (taking half the stuff off only half the pizza so our daughter would eat it). Nice large space. Both indoor and outdoor. Informal. Kids welcome, but no high chairs (although they did have juice boxes for purchase, phew). I didn't realize we have a location near where we live- but I was happy to experience this in Ashland. The pizza was so good, and the toppings paired together nicely. Some people even brought their kids. I love that you can build your own flight. They give you a laminated card and you write down the tap numbers you want. Easy as pie! Did I mention the food? Came here on a Saturday afternoon while passing through town. Walked in and the bar tender was really great about explaining their selection (they have a ridiculous amount to choose from). We were able to try each of the beers before we picked one. Sat down at table outside and in the shade. They have umbrellas for the other tables outside. Got the pretzel and nachos. Pretzel was simple, but good especially for the price. Nachos were good too! Looked like the melted real cheese onto the chips instead of that nacho cheese whatever, so that was awesome! It was absolutely gorgeous weather, and even though it was quite busy, the hostess did her absolute best to make sure we were seated quickly. She was extremely busy but so friendly, and we appreciated how hard she was working to make sure everyone was taken care of! I loved the selection -- I ended up going with an orange/peach/guava sour that was really refreshing on a hot spring day. If we hadn't planned to walk around downtown after, I would've bought a 6-pack inside too. They offer so many cool local choices, and I wish I would've brought some home with me! used to be a nice place to go. the roof leaks next to electrical conduit on the ceiling. has for months. management doesn't care. can't lock the door on one of the bathrooms so take your chances. been that way for months. the light in the other bathroom doesn't work. your instructed to take your phone in with you and use it's flashlight so you can find the toilet, toilet paper etc. but at least the door can be locked. recommend Red Zone instead. they seem to have their shit together. read more

Last year on New Year's Day evening we had a bad experience at this same location that I posted here on Yelp about an employee clapping his hands minutes after pouring my party of three some beers and telling us to chug because he was closing the place early. I thought that bad experience was a one-off and so gave the place another try tonight, a year later, as we were passing through Ashland. Won't make that mistake again. Don't get me wrong. The beer and cider selections are fantastic! Unfortunately, though, the service is consistently bad as evidenced by our experience tonight. My party of three and I ordered our drinks around 8:19. The two staff members told us that we had plenty of time for our drink but that they weren't serving anymore food. That was just fine. We just wanted to enjoy an after dinner drink. Then, around 8:40, when the only other group in the place left, other than a couple sitting on the outdoor patio, they shut off most of the lights and aggressively began mopping and sweeping and banging around the trash cans. The fact that this happened two years in a row is clear this kind of unfriendly culture is acceptable. Better get there at 6 pm if you want to enjoy your drink without being aggressively cleaned around even though the place is posted to close at 10 pm on Yelp. read more

What a find! We were staying at the Ashland Springs Hotel, and wanted to try out the Oregon beer. Well, we sure found it! It was almost overwhelming at the vast selection. The staff was patient and friendly, as we checked out what they had to offer. The food menu is pretty simple fare-- pizzas, taco salads and a few other choices. We started with a hot pretzel and mustard, and it went perfectly with the beer. Oh, the beer! Oregon should be proud of its breweries. So good!
