Pepperoni, mushroom, olive and sausage pizza with a peach bourbon hard cider.
Vanessa B.

The Growler Guys are a dog friendly restaurant with lots of outdoor seating so you can have pizza and drinks with your friends and four legged pizza lovers, too. I usually see other pups here when I come for dinner. We had a pizza with an IPA and a peach bourbon cider that was refreshing and not too sweet. I bought a piece of chicken for my dog and our server kindly cut it up and put it in a bowl for us. Love these guys, I will be back for sure!

We were done with classes and it was time to celebrate! My friend Sarah wanted to watch the women's soccer game and GGs was playing it. The best thing, it was in walking distance of where I was staying. They have a great patio that is dog friendly! "Thank you to the people sitting next to us for letting me pet your dog! I was so dog deprived!" I ordered a delicious barbeque chicken pizza! Very good! I also had two of their ciders, POG and All the Berries...both very refreshing! The staff is really friendly! Good AC inside if that's what you need. I did watch a little inside cause the sun was making its way down and hitting the back of my head....LOL!

The Growler Guys is a great place to grab a drink while snacking on some appetizers or ordering a pizza/sandwich for dinner. They have plenty of options on tap for all beer drinkers and a few wine options as well. Plenty of seating inside and lots more outside! They have Bingo on Tuesdays with great prizes!

What a great spot! A place to stop and have a beer! And let's talk about the beer!! So much to choose from. Coming from California we wanted to try local beers. What really stood out to me was the 90 minute! Double IPA with a smooth taste no real bite to it. I normally order a flight but they currently were not pouring flights. They did allow me to sample different ones. Really appreciated their recommendations and didn't make us feel rushed. Ordered the meat combo pizza and chicken wings. Pizza was great! Packed not a heavy crust and flavorful. The wings were a little on the fatty side but had a good flavor to it. Walked out with 5 32oz beers to take back home to Cali. We will be back next month and you best believe we will be back here!!

Loved the huge beer, cider, kombucha, etc menu. There is a ton of outdoor seating, which is pet friendly, and there are fire heaters outside. Nice location, seating options and menu options. Definitely worth a stop!

I didn't realize we have a location near where we live- but I was happy to experience this in Ashland. The pizza was so good, and the toppings paired together nicely. We didn't feel terrible after eating, but we felt full. Which is always a good sign to quality ingredients. The location is a quick walk from downtown Ashland, and everything was made quick and fresh. The drinks being on tap behind the counter is such a cool look and experience to order. Can't wait to visit our local GG and hope for the same experience!

Great beer!!!

Awesome spot for beer and small bites. Great service and beer selection. I love that you can hang out with your dog by the fire.

Beer is $1 more here then most places in town and bartender was rude about my ID yet still served me a beer. Not worth the visit.

I "SKOUTED" this place out all the way from Sacramento California. We're on a long roadtrip and I…read morewas looking for something beautiful and hearty to hold us over for the rest of our drive. This place truly exceeded our expectations. I love that the restaurant store front is opened wide, it makes it easy to approach and order at the counter. They have a very large variety of alcoholic drink options and some very tasty non alcoholic options as well. Even though we sat outside about 5 tables down, they still came by to deliver our food to us instead of having us waiting inside. The food was amazing. Meat was juicy, bread was perfect, both the sides of fries and house made chips were delicious. The ranch tasted like it was house made as well but I forgot to ask them. My cider was great and my partner got a strawberry slushy- both did not disappoint. The overall theme inside is adorable! It's got a lot of wooden pieces and a camping trailer inside really ties the theme together nicely. There is plenty of tables and shade outside and lots of indoor seating as well. Bathrooms are super clean and clearly well maintained by the folded toilet paper roll. The only thing I will say is if you're going to sit outside expect outside things to happen. There was a lot of flying debris from around the creek due to someone down the way doing outdoor maintenance. Despite this, my partner and I thought it was worth it to hear the running water and be in such a beautiful area for lunch. I would scream my recommendation from the roof top if I could. Thank you for a great meal!

Location, location, location!…read more At Skout tap house all three meanings are working in the restaurant's favor. First, Ashland is a great LOCATION to grab a bite before braving the mountain passes on either side. Within the town the Skout building is LOCATED at the edge of the creek and beautiful Lithia park, and finally the Skout LOCATION itself is a building comfortably decorated with a camping themed ambiance. We ordered the Ultra Meltathon (grilled cheese), a Brisket sandwich, and truffle fries. The Skout version of a grilled cheese, augmented with bacon and jam, was the standout for us. The thin cut and crispy truffle fries were also very good and were gobbled up quickly. On the other hand the brisket was a bit dry but serviceable today rather than a standout. Maybe add some bbq sauce to elevate it a bit? I loved the curated craft beers on tap so check these out if so inclined. See the pics for a glimpse of the roll-up door window that opens to the park, the inside tables and camper, and of course the food. Probably a 4.5 but rounded to 5 stars because of ... location, location, location!

I've been visiting this spot since I first moved to Ashland in 2022, but I'm disappointed to say…read moreI've noticed a steady decline in meat quality over that time. Speaking, the brisket in the Banh Mi was unfortunately tough and lacked the tenderness you'd expect from a properly smoked or braised cut. It had the distinct texture of a pre-packaged Sysco-style product, or perhaps it was a cold portion reheated on a flat top without being properly rehydrated, leaving it dry and chewy. I understand that protein carries a high food cost, especially in the current market. However, a more effective approach might be to balance the menu engineering by leaning on lower food cost items, like seasonal sides or creative vegetarian options, to offset the expense of sourcing and correctly preparing higher-end brisket. This would allow for a better product that justifies its price point, covers its own cost, and ultimately helps the company's bottom line while maintaining the quality standards this town deserves. I'd love to see a return to the quality I experienced a few years ago. All and all, despite the brisket. The service was kind and friendly.

Happy Hour Wednesday to Sunday 2pm-6pm ($4 pints during HH) I had the toasted coconut chocolate porter, shared the dough bites off the HH menu along with the ahi entree and tiramisu cheesecake with my lady. Host staff was very hospitable which is always a plus upon arrival. HH was happening when we arrived so we chose the herb dough bites off that menu, along with 2 house chardonnays. Dough bites were underwhelming to say the least. Some were hard and some were soft and chewy. They were served with a grainy Dijon mustard and some sort of an aioli sauce. Marinara sauce would have been more appropriate. On to the entrees. I chose the ahi tuna salad and my hubby went with a basic burger. His opinion ... just a burger. Fries were fresh and yummy. My ahi tuna salad came with passion fruit vinaigrette and unfortunately it was super tart and not good at all. Make sure to have them give you a taste before you commit. I asked for a side of balsamic dressing but unfortunately the passion fruit one was already overwhelming it. I know not to order seafood in bar and grill but I thought I was safe with it incorporated in a salad. My advice ... stick with the basics ... beer and a burger !!!

There is not one thing I would change about this restaurant. Making the reservation on their…read morewebsite site was easy. We showed up at 5 and were greeted by the same fabulous woman as last time. You just know that someone that kind and welcoming would not own a place she wasn't rightfully proud of. She sets the tone and all the employees carry it through the entire meal. We chose to try the patio tonight and it was cozy yet open, darker with a couple of fire lights around the room. Intimate. Some of the tables are separated by live plants in planter boxes. We loved it. We started with the beets (with shaved fennel pieces and a citrus vinaigrette with a tahini yogurt sauce on the bottom) and burrata (with grilled pieces of bread and sugar snap peas and capers) appetizers - both were delicious. Randy wanted to try another of their off menu drinks. We can't remember what this drink is called but it's not on the menu and has some Mai tai mix and orange bitters ... like a mock Mai tai spritzer. Delicious - Randy had two! I got the mushroom bolognese - so good. It's home made (!) bucatini pasta with a mushroom (cremini, oyster and shiitake) and san Marzano tomato sauce with burrata on top. I love mushrooms but Randy does not and he loved this dish. The mushrooms taste meaty. Randy ordered the Carbonara again and it was also delicious. We also got an order of garlic bread this time and wow. We each have half of our dinners left, lucky us. We shared the creme brûlée which came with a lavender short bread cookie. Perfect. Everything was perfect. The place was packed and all employees were calm and efficient and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

Mistakes…read morewere made by multiple aspects of the restaurant and a member of our party who communicated very clearly that she has Celiac was served a dish with bread. I truly want to like this restaurant, but I have had some really mixed experiences. The ambiance is very nice - it can get a little loud in the dining room, but the tables are comfortable, the lighting is appropriate, and the decor is interesting. The wine list is phenomenal and the reason I brought friends on my most recent visit. The menu is really hit and miss. There are some dishes that are excellent (some things even sell out before the evening is over), but unfortunately, not all. The hostess is absolutely wonderful - she is charming and funny and really has a talent for making you feel welcome and appreciated for dining with them. Unfortunately, the service is really hit and miss. On my last visit, the waitress really didn't seem like she had time for us. She didn't take the time to explain in much detail about menu items or the wine list. She didn't participate in any banter with us or really make us feel welcome. She seemed rushed, which has not been my experience with service here in the past. My biggest concern, though, is about the efforts of the staff and kitchen to keep items allergen-free. The restaurant advertises itself as a place that is Celiac knowledgeable and friendly. We made it clear in our reservation and to the waitress when we sat down at the table that one member of our party had Celiac and needed to be strictly gluten free. All seemed well and we ordered two appetizers marked as gluten free on the menu. One of those appetizers was served with bread. After the food had been delivered, the waitress must have noticed the issue and offered to have the kitchen remake the dish. We agreed (she left the original plate on the table and in the end we were only charged for one, so all good). The re-made dish was brought out, with bread on the side. There should not have been bread at all, it was very confusing. All in all I would return one more time and hope to have a different experience, but if that experience was the same as my recent one, I likely would not return.
