One of my favorites and must have items on the menu!! Fast and efficient with that culinary flare! If you haven't tried Hurricane Kitchen... you're missing out!

Duck Confit Burger. It was okay.

Review on the Duck Confit Burger. $10 I personally love duck meat but I think they put too much of the seasoning to taste the duck. I mean the seasoning was good but maybe too much for my liking. The seasoning tasted like sweet bbq with a lot of herbs added in. It was defiantly a new interesting taste. Because I'm a very textural food type of person, I wish there was some crunch aspects to the burger. It just tastes all mush. Lastly I would have given the burger a 3 star but I found a huge sharp bone in the burger. Luckily I didn't stab myself while eating. I just wanted to say that the burger wasn't bad, maybe just not my type of burger. Maybe I should have picked something else on the menu.

We recently had The Hurricane Kitchens food truck come to my place of employment and provide their curbside service. The service and food were both incredible. Everyone here was extremely pleased with what they ordered and are excited to order from them again. If you have a chance to check out The Hurricane Kitchens food truck do yourself a favor and check them out.

Duck confit. Also took some sriracha from another food truck - it tasted really good with both the sandwich and the slaw. :)

Don't be fooled by the name -- this is not a food truck selling tropical goods. Expect instead some classy street food with a European twist. I've actually never heard of them before LA's museum free-for-all day. They weren't my first choice out of about 12 food trucks, but I'm glad I took a chance on them! SERVICE There were only two workers at the time, and they actually took a really long time to take orders and make the food. I don't think they were expecting so many customers. I was suuuuuper hungry, so of course I was being really grumpy while waiting in line. But the cashier was being really nice, and my boyfriend reminded me that the cashier and cook are both probably very stressed out as well. So, for the work that they were doing and the taste of the food...the wait was worth it! FOOD I really loved what my order came with because they had such unique twists on ordinary dishes. * Duck Confit Sandwich (4/5) Sesame bun, melt-in-your-mouth duck confit, basil pesto, honey fennel sauce, and herbs. Yes, you should be salivating now! This sandwich was soooo flavorful, and my picky boyfriend especially loved it. It was his first time eating duck too! * Jalapeno Cole Slaw (4/5) Cole slaw - heavy mayo flavor + jalapeno = winner. Loved this, it was such a perfect side dish for the sandwich! Conclusion: If you're not sure whether or not you should take a chance on this food truck because you've never heard of it before....you should.

I'm typically anxious about food trucks because you never know what you'll get. And I'm hard on food in general. But wow! The barbecue salmon sandwich cooked medium well, and cole slaw. Perfect. There is nothing else to say. At all. A nice little spicy, near Jamaican jerk kick to it. Not too hot and not too mild. Just right. Reminds me of eating a good sandwich from back home in the South where folks aren't afraid of a little extra pepper! This was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Yes, I said that.

Pulled pork + spicy cole slaw looking good together

A food truck parked on Hollywood this time around, I wanted to see if this was more Hurrican or more Hurrican't ... bad joke sorry Love the unique menu items and fully stocked beverage section. Some food trucks have few menu and beverage options and it feels kind of sad because it feels like either they are an up and comer fighting their way to the top or they are down and out. When you see a truck like Hurricane Kitchen or Tokyo Doggie Style, they feel like established entities that will stick it out and provide a good sense of consistency. The lady that took my order was nice. Anyways, I got the pulled pork salad. Option of either the cole slaw or side salad. Go with the cole slaw because its unique. It's also a little spicy for those who love a kick. The pork slider i ordered wasn't my style ... sweet and fatty. If I went back, it'd be for the sriracha chicken. I would try another item here to give it another go if its something I look forward to or not in the future.

I attended a wedding and the hurricane kitchen was catering. The tapas was phenomenal! Highly recommend the burger and flatbreads!

The passed appetizers made casual food appear fancier at our wedding. The guests loved the food, not to mention how friendly the staff was. They even made effort to come feed me and my husband during pictures because they were worried we weren't going to have time to eat during the wedding. It's those little moments you can't forget! I had tried to get in touch with Kym regarding the pizza menu and certain special requests. After repeated emails and phone calls, plus an extra Yelp inquiry to nudge her, I finally got a response. My planner also reached out several weeks before the wedding with no success. This was a recurring issue. I understand wedding season is busy but my planner and myself were not contacted until 6-7 days prior to my wedding. There were other logistical things to figure out and the communication fell absolutely short. I also requested in multiple emails that I would like to purchase extra cheeseboards/grazing boards to have a more elaborate spread. This was never acknowledged so I had assumed I would be billed later or extra charges on my invoice would cover the request. Nope- they ran out of food incredibly early for my cocktail hour and did not even clear the area. At the actual event, I had 60 people and purchased food for 68 to account for vendors etc. There were 3 small pizza trays on a table and they were being eaten by a single table at a time. Some people did not receive food or waited so long they just gave up and ate meatballs and salad. I acknowledge that the DJ called guests too quickly. Not the catering team's fault. But even when he slowed down and people were fine waiting, it was still an abnormally long wait. There could have been a second table or more pizza trays or something. 3, 10-11" pizzas to be split amongst a table of ten is not reasonable. The slices are thin and people started taking bigger portions of sides cuz there wasn't enough pizza in time. I understand that there was an issue with where the "kitchen" was set up, versus where the food table was located (a 200 ft walk), but there was extra staff to assist. Also- this issue could have been solved much earlier and planned better IF THERE WAS COMMUNICATION. So disappointed. When people actually did get food, they said the pizza was good but I've had good pizza elsewhere and that's where I'll be going for it. The star is for the meatballs which is all I ate as the bride. I was one of the people that gave up on pizza since it took so long. My husband said it was good but he also only got a single piece. Bummer.

We had the opportunity to do a tasting pre-contract, which I would highly recommend! Tasting the dishes we were thinking of having for our wedding was a leading factor to securing their services. The top 3 reasons why I would hire TVC for catering any event is: communication, flavor, and experience. Sara is a rockstar and we would not have had such a spectacular wedding if it wasn't for her. She goes out of her way to keep the couple informed, responds almost immediately to any and all questions/requests, and is just a wonderful person to be around! From quoting to executing the onsite catering, she is there every step of the way and knows all the important details. For our wedding we selected the below items: Passed apps: ahi poke tacos, mini arancini balls with tomato bisque, and pulled pork cornbread cakes. Given that we were having an outdoor wedding in November, we wanted to have something warm for our guests. Sara provided the creative idea to mix their fabulous arancini balls with a warm soup. It was a huge hit! Salad: Pear salad fit the fall theme perfectly! Mains: Syrah braised short rib and chicken piccata. Both were delicious (short rib was more popular) and we decided to serve family style instead of plated or buffet. This was a great option for us as our guests were able to converse and pass plates around. Food came out hot, which was a critical care about for us! Sides: Potato leek gratin and charred broccolini. The gratin is one of the best potato dishes I've ever tasted. I seriously wish I had this recipe! If I were to change one item, it would have been to sub in something more popular for the charred broccolini. In addition to the great food, TVC provided pie cutting, a water station, and tableside wine services. The package they offer is perfect for your wedding and they are able to take care of any and all needs! Thank you Sara, chef, and team!

Mind you we've been talking for 5 months and you didn't realize this? If I didn't reach out I wouldn't have known. How do you have that bad of communication for something like this to happen?! Completely unprofessional. They totally set me back and wasted my time. Work on your organization and communication! Probably a blessing they aren't doing my wedding!!! PS- Even though there was no contract signed yet you guys should have reached out for me and asked for the deposit to hold the date before completely booking someone else especially with a tasting booked and a menu already written up with the proposal. No one asked for a deposit yet. If someone else was interested you should have let me know and then asked for deposit. it was wrong, regardless.
