Outdoor seating

This place is located around lots of little shops, loved the area. Outdoor seating only. Took them a while to make the sandwich and it wasn't super busy but the sandwich was so good!! Worth the wait. I got a cookie & would not recommend, very dry. I'd recommend this spot for their sandwich only.

The team ordered delivery. The staff is great! We got our order earlier than expected. Everyone loved their sandwiches. I enjoyed my French dip with Au jus and horseradish on the side. Of course chips were great too for some crunch. This is a place you can order for delivery or takeout but they also have a small patio area you can sit and enjoy.

VEGAN Southwest Wrap

We craved a good sandwich after our morning hike and before wine tasting today, so we came to downtown Paso Robles and checked out this fine spot. We ordered a bbq beef sandwich and a southwest wrap vegan style. Service was friendly and they brought us our food quickly where sat looking out at the main park across the street. People watching was fun as folks lined up their beach chairs in preparation for tonight's holiday parade. The bbq beef sandwich was delicious with well toasted bread, tangy bbq sauce, and tender beef. The southwest wrap had a great variety of textures between the pepperoncinis, corn, and cucumbers, but what made it flavorful was the sauce on the side! I appreciated that the deli actually did have a scooter for making deliveries! Had we lived closer, we would've been regulars for sure!

We were on a road trip and passed through town at lunch time. We decided to stop at Red Scooter because reviews said they have gluten-free bread. We were greeted warmly when we entered and given plenty of time to peruse the large menu. I ordered the tuna melt on gluten free rye (oven is shared with non-GF bread, which they got my ok for). My partner got the Jam That's Cheesy. I really enjoyed the tuna melt and was pleasantly surprised that the GF bread also was rye. Often, white bread is the only option. My partner enjoyed his sandwich too, but couldn't put it down until he was all the way through it since it's a little messy to eat. The patio was a bit chilly on the day we stopped, so we ate in the car overlooking the park. It was a tasty picnic-style lunch on the road.

Red Scooter Deli is such a gem! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming. The lady behind the counter couldn't have been friendlier--she set the tone with her kindness and great service. Seating inside is limited, but they make up for it with plenty of outdoor tables, perfect for enjoying a sunny day. I ordered the chicken salad on a croissant, and wow--it was outstanding. When I first saw the dark yellow color, I hesitated, thinking it might be heavy on curry (not usually my thing). What impressed me most was that before I even committed, she offered me a sample so I could try it first. That little gesture spoke volumes about their customer service. She was right--it only has a light touch of curry, and it was absolutely perfect. The flavor was fresh, balanced, and easily one of the best chicken salads I've had. Great service, thoughtful touches, friendly vibes, and amazing food--I'll definitely be back!

Awesome food at a good price point. Seems to be a locally owned two location restaurant. This location is pretty small with outdoor seating. I had the chicken Ceasar salad and a Reuben sandwich. The portions were so large it will make 2 meals for me. It would have been 5 stars but one of the workers was flustered and we weren't sure where we should stand. She complained about going out to call people and folks being in the store, so we went outside to wait. The restaurant is small and there wasn't a place to be out of the way. Maybe they should get a pager system and when the buzzer goes off to go get your order from the inside. She was also pretty worried that I grabbed a salad that I didn't pay for. I told her my order name, sure enough, I paid for the sandwich being made and the salad in my hand. She offered to put it in a bag for me which was fine. Definitely would eat here again if in the area, but probably would have called ahead.

While taking a break from our roadtrip, we came here in an effort to find an easy sandwich shop that our 3 kids would enjoy. I'm happy to say we nailed it here. They have a nice little kids meal pack that offers a few different types of sandwiches from both the class PB&J to meat & cheese. You also get a bag of chips and drinks. For my wife and I it was a bit more tricky. But in a great way. This deli has an amazing selection of sandwiches. So much so that it's almost overwhelming. We walked in thinking they would just have the basics but that's far from the case. They have just about everything under the sun to the point where we really couldn't decide on what we wanted. For once our kids were waiting for us to make a decision! Luckily the employee working was more than happy to wait for us and answer the questions we had about their offerings. I ended up getting the California cheesesteak that I really enjoyed. I forget what my wife got but she said it tasted fresh. I honestly don't think there is a sandwich on this menu that wouldn't taste good. It's all just a matter of what type of mood you are in. Despite having 5 items on our order and it being peak lunch time, our order came out quickly, letting us enjoy a bit of our meal in their small but wonderful patio area before we carried it over to finish under a large tree at the park across the street. It was just a wonderful addition to a great break from a long drive. We came here completely on a whim and fell in love with it. There are a lot of eateries in this area but I can guarantee the next time we are in the area Red Scooter will be on the top of our list of places to eat at. Great customer service, great selection, great food. What's not to like?

Really cute simple breakfast place! I got the veggie wrap which was very tasty. There's an area outside to sit as no indoor seating. The food came out fast and very friendly staff.

Ambiance: Cute sandwich shop, great outdoor seating. Service: courteous Food: CALI-CHEESTEAK: awesome, flavorful and not too messy Toasted cheese: great cheese blends Buttered up: the bread was a bit hard but everything else was good. Curry Chicken salad: very good, great pieces of chicken Great place to grab lunch for days on the road or picnic

Looking for something quick, easy and on the lighter side for lunch. Came across reviews for this place and thought a sandwich would be great. Walked in and could hear people talking in the back but no one at the counter. This was ok because I needed some time to look over their extensive menu board. An older lady came in and yelled for someone to handle the front "I am not ready to take my break but I saw a dog and I have to go see it" as she was grabbing cookies ( for the owner) and Turkey (for the dog). A nice young lady came to take my order. I was just asking a question about the bread but she started putting in my order so I felt locked in to the sandwich I asked about. Took my order in sourdough and was told they would bring it out once done. I waited about 10 mins for the sandwich. Got back to my hotel room and opened up a monster of a sandwich. Nothing worse than all the items working to get her to get a flat unimpressive sandwich. This thing was at least a pound and most of that is from thick sliced turkey. I got the Bird on sourdough. It is turkey, cream cheese spread, cranberry sauce, sprouts and sunflower seeds ( I was a little off by this but it works!)

The Italian Scooter cold sandwich

Fresh, Fresh, Fresh. My experience here was very satisfying. The Italian Scooter came on a light, fluffy french roll, that seemed baked that morning. The fresh veggies came together beautifully with the assortment of meats. If you peruse the menu I don't see where anything is going to be bad. The business also offers a good variety of salads, sides, and desserts. This is a prime location for your nrxf bite to eat.

Caesar Salad Wrap

Very kind service! ( 4.5/5 ) Caesar Salad Wrap Fresh ingredients! It tasted delicious. A a bit more dressing would've been nice. I love how they cut it in half and double wrap! It makes it very efficient to eat on a road trip. Location was clean and cozy

Super happy we stumbled across this place. After a long day of drinking the night before we were looking forward to having something fill up our tummies. While getting coffee up the street, we decided to walk around and see what looked good and this stuck out for us. I decided to go with their yogurt parfait which was really filling and filled with fresh fruit. My husband ordered the brioche breakfast sandwich and he was raving about it the entire time we were seated here. If you are in the area it's the perfect stop and has so many options for even the pickiest of eaters!

It's definitely nothing fancy, which is exactly the way we like it. There's plenty of parking and the young lady taking our order was incredibly friendly. We split the BLTA along with some salt and vinegar chips. The sandwich was delicious! Nothing special but everything was so fresh and flavorful, and the bacon was delicious as was the soft tender bread that it was made on. 10 out of 10 for us we would definitely be back. There is no indoor seating just outdoor patio seating which was ample and on hot days it has fans to cool you down. Looking forward to our next visit. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the sandwich so you'll just have to take my word for it.

They have two locations which we found out later. Initially we were headed to the one in downtown. This location on 6th Street is in a retail suburban type of shopping plaza. Plenty of parking. This location has no indoor seating, it's all outdoor patio which is covered. Basic patio, not alot of character or ambiance. But so much potential. As I was sitting enjoying my food; I noticed a lot of folks taking their orders to go and many picking up catering. It's counter service and not particularly roomy inside with folks standing in line and others moving about can get crowded. We ordered a plain toasted bagel with roasted red pepper schmear. They are generous with the spread. Nice! Lactose intolerant me just popped a pill and indulged. And we also ordered a breakfast sandwich on croissant with bacon. Yum. That croissant wasn't flimsy but also not too dense either. The sandwich was picture prefect. Next time I'm in Paso, I'll give their downtown locale a go.

The steak was tender and well cooked, the avocado was fresh and the salsa was very flavorful with just the right amount of heat. My wife had the blackened tofu tacos and wasn't as thrilled as I was. She found them a little bit bland even with the peanut sauce and didn't understand putting cabbage on something that's already lettuce wrapped. But if you're planning a visit, build in serious buffer time. We stopped in on Memorial Day and, with several parties ahead of us in line, didn't place our order until nearly 20 minutes after arriving. By the 45-minute mark, our food still hadn't come out for two paninis and a soup. What made it especially frustrating was watching parties who arrived after us get their cheese orders and drinks served before anyone had even started assembling our sandwiches. It was clear the shop was understaffed for the holiday weekend, with one person managing the counter and another in the back prepping. We ended up asking to take the sandwiches cold just to get out the door, only to have both stuffed into one small bag, sloppily wrapped. The soup, unfortunately, came out lukewarm regardless. None of this felt malicious. The shop has an unhurried, artisanal quality that's part of its appeal, but that can't fully account for the gap between the experience and a nearly hour-long wait for a simple lunch order while others moved ahead of us. Come for the cheese, come for the atmosphere. Just don't come hungry with anywhere to be.
