Pretty good! I like working at Denver Central Market every so often and this is the spot to get a solid cup of coffee. I'm a fan of Crema's other location just down the street, and this one is every bit as charming. The "bodega" part of this coffee shop is full of super useful things like tylenol and t-shirts in case you're just passing through (although RiNo is nowhere near the airport). Feeling snacky? They've got yogurt and other little snack items for munching! The staff has always been pretty friendly to me. I've gotten a kombucha here that sort of overflowed when I opened it, and the barista was kind enough to give me another one. You can kind of stay here all day and head to one of the other Denver Central Market vendors for lunch, dinner, drinks, etc. I'm a fan! read more

What is this dreamy place. I cannot leave The Denver Central Market without stopping here. For some people they HAVE to get ice cream or a perfectly made chocolate. For me, it is all in the small latte extra foam. The espresso here is so smooth it will make you wonder how you ever drink any other coffee drink at all. Crema needs to build a location right next to my home so I can start every day off right with a steamy cup of their magical brew. I will note they don't go out of their way to be super friendly like most of the other vendors, but it may just take much concentration to steam the milk just right. They also sell several different coffees by the bag as well as other treats for the coffee lover. Never walk by Crema without stopping. You will be doing yourself a disservice. read more

The guy working grabbed them for us and as he was checking us out rather rudely asked if we wanted to leave a tip. We know times are hard but he hardly did anything for us but grab two cans out of a refrigerator so we obviously hesitated. Crema Bodga - an outpost of the ever-so-popular Crema Coffee House - is pretty much the first thing you see when you walk into the Denver Central Market. To be honest I'm a little surprised by the reviews that mention bad service because I've probably been here a half a dozen times in the last month or so and have only experience friendly baristas, which is saying a lot because I often have to order decaf drinks due to my current state of affairs (affairs meaning that I'm pregnant and have to sadly limit my caffeine intake.) This little shop offers coffee of course, but also a strange variety of other items - milk, eggs, butter, yogurt, bulk coffee, coffee brewing equipment, magazines and bike tubes. The coffee is still delicious, even the decaf version, and so I imagine I'll find myself here another half dozen times in the next month as well. read more

I love the crema coffee house and the people and energy there. I thought this is the same at this location. Lately I had 2 incidents were people were so unfriendly - or better very rude - to me there that I decided not to go there anymore. The same happened to a co-worker... The location is great but I doesn't help if you are being served a coffee and being addressed in the rudest way possible while just asking to have it to go. read more

I've only gotten their nitrogen pulled cold brew iced coffee here but I'm a huge fan. I love all three varieties of their iced coffee with the sumptown being my favorite. The only reason I don't give them an "as good as it gets" 5 star review is because I was spoiled by another small brazillian run coffee shop which poured their organic fair trade single variatal nitrogen pulled iced coffee over ice cubes made of the same iced coffee. They only had one variety of coffee they used for their iced coffee though and they are unfortunately a little far to be convenient (around 1252 miles away). If crema ever does this I will give them 5 (and if possible 6) stars! I don't even want to think about how long the lines will get if they do! read more

The Crema Coffeehouse people, up on 2862 Larimer, have been pretty great every time we've gone in there. By all means, go check that place out. On the other hand, the Crema Bodega in the new Denver Central Market sucks, sucks, sucks. Avoid it. Here's why: The staff are rude, unhelpful, and possess the customer-service skills of donkeys. You can ask for a cappuccino your way, and you will be curtly told that they "only make it one way." Are you a fan of Italian-style dry cappuccini? You're out of luck, because what this place will serve you will be a small, wet café latte instead. Do you want your coffee to go? Too bad: They believe their product too precious to put in to-go cups. I'm not exaggerating, I swear. They could make their particularity a selling point, I suppose, by being very friendly and posting all this information in advance. Yet they neither post it, nor are they friendly. This is the second Crema location on this block. This particular coffee shop is located inside the Denver Central Marketplace. I ordered my usual, 10oz americano with room. Two raw sugars and cream. This is my baseline (I order the same drink at every stop). The coffee arrived lukewarm and fairly weak despite my normal double shot of espresso. Crema uses Sweet Leaf coffee for their espresso which is already a lighter blend. It is also the sweeter variety of coffee which seems more and more popular, but not my thing. These bad reviewers must not realize how long it realistically takes to pull espresso shots, especially when you're facing the lunch-hour rush that the Market has. Cool little new coffee shop from Crema located in the new Denver Central Market. Great rotating selection of whole bean coffee you can buy, along with some little knick knacks. They also have a full espresso bar. My one complaint: pricey!! I bought a 12-oz bag of coffee beans and paid $23!! Never paid so much for a bag of coffee. I even looked it up on the roaster's website, and it was worth $18. Pretty ridiculous markup, and pretty disappointing. Too hip to accommodate... I've never written a yelp review before but this interaction was too ridiculous not to share. I order an espresso (in my head I'm thinking $3 for an espresso is a little steep but whatever). I ask for it to go, and the barista says they won't serve them to go. I ask can't you just put it in one of those "to go" cups right behind you? She says, no we don't do that but you can have it in this shot glass for an extra $3. I try to order two more of their drinks to find one that I can stomach, that they will put in a to go cup. When I have failed for the third time to order a "proper" to go drink, she informs me that they do it this way because it is the only correct way to preserve the flavors. I cannot believe that in a time where we fight for and embrace diversity of gender, race, and sexual orientation, a place like Crema Bodga can push such a narrow-minded view on the "correct" way to drink an espresso. Clearly they are just using a hip exterior to push a FASCIST agenda. Well, I refused to hide my opposition. I refused to be forced into their predetermined beverage mold. Every weekend my wife and I treat ourselves to yummy lattes from the original location. I take mine as a High Octane quad. And we've been doing this since before they blew out the back wall and doubled the space. So needless to say we are die-hard fans. So. I'm really confused and bummed that I'm posting this review of the Bodega. And. Before you jump to conclusions - we've hit the Bodega at least a half-dozen times. And each time I've been let down. I'm not sure what it is. I did notice last time there was nothing marked on my cup. So maybe they just missed communicating about the extra shots?!? And it was a tad hotter than it really should be. Sucks to post this b/c I love Crema. But the Bodega needs some TLC from some of the parent-store's epic baristas. read more

Is this place serious?! I will start by saying that I have given them business for a year since I moved to Rino. I have dealt with attitudes from Baristas and expensive prices BUT I can't get an espresso in a glass of ice to go BUT I can pay more for an Americano to go which is not how I want it?! I have lived in NYC and Other large cities and NEVER have I been argued with that not only will they serve it that way BUT when challenged said I'm not allowed to even pour it into my own cup of ice if I brought in?! How can any establishment tell their customers what they can and can't do with something purchased?! Am I in some sort of twilight zone?! I will NEVER give them business again. This was our 3rd visit, and unfortunately it was as disappointing as the last 2, firstly it takes way too long to get your drinks - 15 minute wait for 2 macchiatos. Which is slightly better than my last visit when it took over 20 minutes to get my drink. When ordering my husband asked for a double shot - and was told NO we don't do that the macchiatos come in a small cup. OK make it in a bigger cup - NO we don't do that - UGH OK. Does not seem like customer service is a priority in this way too cool place. The drinks were OK - but way over priced. I took my 3 friends to Central Market, treated for coffee. When he asked if we would like to go cups, we accepted. To my surprise, he said all but the espresso are eligible for to go cups, but the espresso wasn't eligible because it would compromise the integrity of the espresso. I was then talked to by both baristas with condescension. &$@?!!! That's ridiculous. When I responded and expressed that I would prefer to have a to go cup, he told me he would not be able to give me one. I ended up just taking one myself and pouring at myself into that cup. What a joke. As a consumer, it is not my responsibility to uphold your pretentious rituals, nor do I appreciate the insulting posture. read more

I stop by here on my way to work every morning and I absolutely love it! Amazing coffee (best option in Denver in my opinion), reasonable prices (no extra charge for almond milk!) and I love the staff here as well. I think they now allow you to take espresso to go. But hey, even if they don't I wouldn't mind spending a few extra minutes to enjoy it in one of the nicest spots in Denver. They are significantly more swamped on weekends because all the suburban peeps think it's the cool new place to be ;) . Just order your coffee, relax and enjoy the market. I like Crema, I'm a frequent customer and up until today I've had nothing but good experiences. However, today I was extremely unimpressed with the customer service. I purchased a bag of coffee + a shot of espresso -- $25. When my espresso came up I was informed that I could not get it to-go. While I understand why this is the policy, you guys want your coffee to be of the highest quality, the barista was extremely rude and refused to accommodate me. She literally took the paper cup I was about to pour my drink into out of my hand and said "NO!". This was extremely off putting. She then went to help some other customers, at which point I took the paper cup I previously had back off the counter, poured my drink into it and proceeded to leave. On my way out she noticed what I had done and yelled at me in front of other customers to "Never come back!". This is totally unacceptable. I understand the barista / company wants their product to be served the best possible way, but as a customer I should be able to get a paper cup for my drink without being berated. A more appropriate response would have been "we strongly recommend our customers drink their espresso here", not "NO!" Followed by "Don't come back!" I'm extremely disappointed and will not be returning after this experience. read more

I had a completely satisfying customer service experience on New Year's Day. The lady working the register couldn't have been less friendly or accommodating if she tried. This place clearly survives on the merit of its products and small monopoly within the public market. I'd recommend finding another a coffee shop with better people. This was my second visit to a Crema location, the first being their original spot, which I wasn't a huge fan of (coffee shop with zero outlets, whyyy). But that was years ago, and I forgot that that one place that I didn't quite like was called Crema. So when I found myself at the Denver Central Market and was sleep deprived and in desperate need of caffeine, I opted for a latte at the cute lil coffee shop right by the entrance. I ordered the vanilla latte but was told that they were out of vanilla. Sad day. So I got caramel syrup instead, no big deal. My friend ordered a chai latte. Our two small drinks cost me ten buckaroos. And small here meant smaller than a Starbucks tall. Double sad day. Especially because my latte wasn't good. Not sure if the caramel syrup was off or what, but I didn't end up finishing it. Oh, and if anyone is particular about their lattes, and it was halfway a cappuccino with the amount of foam on it. If you're not a fan, consider asking for no foam. And when asked if my order was for here or to go, I ordered the drinks "for here" (wanted to sit and chill and enjoy the steampunk vibes and the latte art), but both drinks came out in to go cups. Ironic, since there are a bunch of reviews on here where people asked for their drinks to go and were denied by the barista, who said getting them in to go cups would compromise the integrity of the drink? Hm, interessant. Well, it's nice that there's a coffee shop at the DCM, but Crema and I just haven't clicked. Mayhaps next time, if there is one. read more

Today I had the opportunity to stop by the Denver Central Market for some breakfast and a nice cup of coffee to wake me up. I did get a great cup of good tasting coffee with a side of attitude. The customer service has not been great these days. I would like to get a smile or feel that the experience is pleasant when I order a $4.00 cup of coffee. My coffee was sat on the side of the brew station without as much of a here you go or hope you enjoy. When I stated that there was foam in my coffee, and that I asked for no foam, I was told that cream has a little foam, and they continued the conversation between the two of them. I got it. Shut up and go away. I love the quality of the coffee at Crema Bodga, but I could have done without the disrespect and attitude. My rating is a zero for service. I'm sad to say that I can't go back to spend money at a place that does not value their customers. Also sad, because they a have great healthy coffee product. read more
