Was really looking forward to a refreshing treat to try and beat the heat. It was definitely cold, just not tasty :( the Mango Tango smoothie just had no flavor - not sure if it was just not ripe mangoes used or what. The butterfly drink was just okay. I would've rated this place a 3/5 had it not been for the poor service. The cashier was inpatient when we were ordering and just overall had a rude personality. The inside was cute in that they sold antiques, stickers and some clothes.

This cafe has a lot of food and drink options. The best part is that they have a lot of seating to sit down and either read, study, or talk with people. It has easy parking behind the store away from the main street! We got two of their seasonal drinks the egg coffee and the mint matcha. Both were decent drinks with unique flavors. For food we got the chorizo burrito and chipotle chicken panini with added avocado. These both came out great and my favorite was the chipotle chicken panini.

Popped in today and it was fairly steady for a Saturday mid morning. Crema did a great job of decorating for Christmas with a tree and presents under it. I would have loved to sit and enjoy the vibes, but tables were primarily full so I got my breakfast sandwich and drink to go. Flavor of the sandwich was ok, but the croissant wasn't cut all the way through so it fell apart when I tried to eat it. I paid extra for avocado to be added and it barely had a few slivers. Also needed something extra on it for flavor... maybe a sauce or salt and pepper. I also ordered the Enchanted Forrest latte off their winter drinks special menu. That one was pretty decent, but can't really taste much of the coffee itself. Next time I'll try a basic latte to see if more of the coffee flavor comes across. Overall, this place has a really cool vibe and I'd come back again to try it, but I would skip the breakfast sandwich.

Perfect place to bring your laptop and devour something yummy with coffee. I love their specials every season. In October and November, they had fall flavors featured, and now they have winter flavors! I ask for my lattes to have a little less sugar and they can accommodate my palette. My coffee and treats are always ready promptly. The people working are so kind and accepting of the nature of their cafe. There are long tables to share and small tables for students/people working. I always see firefighters and police officers sitting outside enjoying coffee. This place actually roasts coffee beans, so be prepared to smell like roasted beans when you leave. Today, Crema hosted 'The Romance Book Store'. They had about 50 or so books for you to buy! It was a perfect morning! Coffee and books!

Food: - Decent, ordered a sandwich and a mango Italian soda - Overpriced for what it was - 6/10 Service: - Pretty friendly staff - 5 minute wait to get the food - 8/10 Ambiance: - Lots of seating - I would say it's a nice place to work but so many people are there it actually gets pretty loud - Not sure if there is a parking lot since I walked to the front - Nicely decorated and spacious - 7/10 Overall Rating: 7/10

Floored by the amazing service from the staff at crema! I've often heard rave reviews of their aromatic coffee but never made my way over until today. I was able to find parking easily along the Alameda and also noticed there is a parking lot behind the building. There were a surprising amount of indoor seating options, small tables along the wall for those who need to plug in, communal tables for larger groups, and counter seating along the windows for those who prefer to catch up on their people watching. I ordered the red velvet latte which was perfect! Perfect temp, not too sweet, and rich with flavor! My kiddos were surprised and delighted to learn that this location gives out pup cups (little cups of whipped cream and bacon) our pup loved the novelty of being able to like a treat out of a cup! Highly recommend and perhaps may try one of their pastries on a future visit.

I came here with my team for a coffee break and it was a great place to hang out and talk. I would say their coffee is not very strong and is a little watery but the flavors are good. It looks like a great place for chilling and studying though!

    Chicken Panini

Came here for brunch with a friend. The ambience was pretty cool and the cashier was nice. I ordered the chicken panini and it wasn't great. Picked up my order from the counter when it was ready and one of the staff members placed the receipt directly on top of the panini (gross). The panini itself was not great- the chicken was tough and bland, bread was not warm and was also on the tough side. Overpriced sandwich and not worth it at all.

I've driven by this place and it's super cute, which is why I decided to come here to do work. Unfortunately their wifi was super slow. I ordered their banh mi, which tasted pretty weird. Not expired, but it didn't taste Asian or like a banh mi. There's a lot of seating and metered street parking wasn't too difficult to find. Not sure if I'll be back-- maybe only if I avoided their sandwiches and didn't need to use wifi.

Old school style coffee spot! Drinks: Great amount of caffeine and not too sweet. Caramel Almond Royale Latte: perfect Specials: Cookie butter Cold Brew: delicious Ambiance: think Starbucks/ Peet's in the 90's. Super chill lots of seating and clean Service: they were super sweet and coffee made in great timing. I will be coming back.

Came here on a Saturday morning around 7:00 AM and was surprised to see quite a few people inside the shop. They have plenty of parking in the back which I appreciate for the Alameda. I ordered an iced vanilla latte which was good. It came in a plastic cup with a plastic straw (I'm glad it wasn't a paper straw). For espresso drinks you can order a single, double or triple. I liked the taste of my coffee I just wish it was colder/more iced. The ambiance inside is cozy. Lots or art, books to read, plenty of seating space. This reminds me of a coffee shop you'd see in a mountain town like Lake Tahoe. The staff were friendly. The wait was around 5-10 minutes with a few orders ahead of me. Overall really good!

Double shot affogato and iced white mocha

It sucks to say that Crema seems to have lost it's charm and quality. My fiancé and I used to frequent this place when it was located down the street. It was a large space to hang out and still is. I've been here a handful of times since it's moved but the drinks aren't as good. My recent affogato order to-go was put in a plastic cup instead of a hot cup as I'd expect, and I dumped it out because it tasted terribly of soap.

With some coffees a second cup will give me a stomach ache (especially since I drink my cold brews black and bitter like my soul), but I had no problems with their cold brews! I also got the vegan stonefruit scone (baked by Sweet Dragon) and while a little on the dry side (common with scones), paired extremely well with the coffee and had good flavor. Husband got a cappuccino and a strawberry mini pie and was extremely pleased with his order. The service is friendly, but some things may have been new on the day we went. They almost forgot my cold brew until we asked at the counter, as well as stating that they didn't have anything to heat up my husband's strawberry pie (which seems odd, since a little toaster oven seems like a simple fix for that), but apparently it was fantastic at room temperature anyway. Seating was absolutely full when we got there and we were lucky to snag a table as another couple left, so it seems like a popular Saturday morning spot. Several folks were working on laptops, and it seems like a kid-friendly place. The decor is a clean and modern/trendy industrial style, which works well for the space, and the windows provide nice daylight. Overall, a good coffee shop and I am really happy to see vegan pastry options! My husband is getting into pinball, which was part of the motivation to come out and try Chromatic, so I am sure we'll be back again next time he wants to hit up Slingshot (in the same building), and I look forward to the coffee and treats!

The seating area is quite limited for the large crowd it attracts, making the atmosphere inside feel a bit chaotic at peak times. Fortunately, the baristas are super polite and work fast, keeping the long lines moving efficiently. The coffee menu and the retail bean selection are both impressive. I decided to try a dulce de leche coffee. While I was expecting a strong caramel profile of dulce de leche, the flavor turned out to be fairly subtle rather than prominent. It added a significant sweetness, but without knowing the order beforehand, identifying the exact flavor would have been tough. That said, the coffee itself was still refreshing The high quality of the coffee bean really shone through, delivering a rich aroma and the ideal caffeine kick for a breezy morning. Great coffee beans and fast service make it worth dropping in, even if the indoor seating situation is a bit tight.

Occasionally burnt espresso but I love them too much to mind. I am a matcha snob to say the LEAST. Hands down best coffee shop matcha in the Bay Area. The classic iced matcha latte with honey is grassy and earthy and creamy and a little sweet. The iced banana pudding matcha latte had people lined up around the corner for months when it came out. It is deliciously worth the wait. Best banana cold foam in my opinion because it's made with actual bananas instead of flavoring so it's much more mellow. The double matcha they had for awhile is also awesome. Banana cold foam also goes great on an espresso latte. Now they let you add whichever cold foam you like to whatever drink which is great. Basically you can't go wrong. They are always changing up the menu for the new season and have lots of unique drinks on their menu. Not much seating inside at this location. Ordered: Dark Iced Chocolate Mocha and Nitro Cold Brew Bathroom: Yes WiFi: Yes This was our second time visiting and while we went into it with high expectations because of how much we enjoyed our visit (2 years ago), we did notice a dip in customer service and beverage quality. The espresso shot used in the iced mocha was not fully dialed to hit that balanced note that we are used to. The cold brew tasted more muddy than the previous time. Overall, the customer service seemed more like us inconveniencing the team, as opposed to being welcomed into the space. We noticed after we ordered our drinks, a line formed, and no one was available to take orders for customers due to behind the counter conversations that seemed more important than serving customers. There were two gentlemen who had been there approximately 10 minutes before us, and went to the pick up station three times to see if their orders were ready (multiple customers got their coffee and tea drinks before them). A quick note on the customer service - as someone who worked in food service for a number of years, I could empathize with teams that deal with high volume of customers. However, what separates good from great customer service is the ability to communicate with your customer when times are busy, as opposed to ignoring them. There are seated areas but fill up quickly, and they do have an outdoor space to hangout as well. If I'm in the plaza area and need a coffee, after this experience, we would debate before going.

Perfect for warm California days with nearby palm trees and plenty of outdoor seating. My normal go-to is a sparkling iced americano (don't know it until you try it). The espresso is solid. Today I tried the seasonal Melo Belo. It's an iced banana latte with a coconut cream on top. The banana flavor is subtle and not too sweet. That's my preference when I have coffee, but I think most would actually benefit from asking for extra banana syrup. The coconut foam is also subtly sweet, and actually has a slight saltiness that helps the drink feel well-balanced. This drink was definitely a treat. They also have a great selection of pastries that range from standard croissants to less common flavors, like mango and ube. They do tend to sell out throughout the day, so if you want the best selection, come early.
