Very disappointed with yesterday's visit. Ordered a Mexican hot chocolate - barely tasted anything but cinnamon and milk. I was overcharged for my drink which was a point of confusion. Picked up an iced mocha this past Sunday while attending the Boogie Music Festival taking place along East Campbell Avenue. The cafe is spacious and inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating available, even on this busy morning with an event happening right outside. Service was standard, not the fastest but I wasn't in a hurry on this day so it wasn't problematic. My iced mocha was a bit watery and weak on the chocolate flavor, but it was drinkable. I probably wouldn't come back for this though. Luckily, they have a good variety of food and drink options on their menu, especially the breakfast items which look delish and probably worth trying next time. read more

I got a vanilla latte and added cherry syrup, $10. Coffee tasted off and not good. Doesn't taste like cherry or vanilla. My husband got the mamas coffee which was Vietnamese iced coffee, the milk tasted sour. Definitely will not be going back. Especially not for $10 a latte. We ended up just tossing them. read more

We came in for a quick breakfast and everything we tried was delightful! We had the mushroom quiche, which was flavorful and perfectly baked. The breakfast croissant was also very well done, buttery, and satisfying. Surprisingly, what stood out the most to me was the cornbread (at least I think it was cornbread!). I'm usually not a fan of this kind of sweet, but I absolutely loved it here, it was moist, slightly sweet, and super comforting. Our coffees were also well made and paired perfectly with the meal. With 3 kids we don't venture out often but we decided to head downtown and grab a treat while waiting for the bookstore to open. Unfortunately this place ruined our day. The person working there was very rude and we felt rushed and unwelcome. The whole experience was awful and the food was very mediocre for the price although that would be less of an issue if the service was better. read more

We biked over to visit downtown Campbell and stopped for a snack at OVC. I love the open, comfy atmosphere with a combo of tables, couches and upholstered chairs. Although we were too late for breakfast, there were still a number of pastries and quiches available in the case, along with some desserts. I had the Mexicali quiche which combined jalapenos, black olives, red pepper and lid of cheese with other deliciousness. My wife had a half egg salad sandwich, which she says was good. We also had an iced matcha latte and iced Americano. Both very good. They were doing a surprisingly brisk business for mid-afternoon on a Wednesday, and they were training a new cashier, but the service was very polite, and they got the order right. Perfect spot to grab your coffee and do your work or catch up with friends. The place is located in Campbell downtown, parking can be hard to find sometimes, but it's a very nice area to grab your coffee and walk around. The inside is spacious and has a very warm vibe to it. There are plenty of chairs and table that you can just sit and do your works. The only downside is a lot of them are not near any outlets, so make sure you charge your devices before coming in to do your work. The servers were nice and friendly, you can ask them for help with the menu if it's your first time there. I got the dragonfruit Italian soda because I wasn't feeling caffeine at that moment, it does not taste good at all. It was plain and tasted almost like just water with pink color. I would recommend to try their coffee menu instead of going adventurous with your drinks here lol Overall, it's a nice and cool looking coffee shop to sit and relax inside with your typical choices from an American coffee shop. read more

This is a great place to sit and hangout at, one of the original Campbell spots that has been on this corner for decades. It's like the 90s classic coffee shop where you'd meet a friend or study out of. Spacious, WiFi, many tables, lots of people chatting and working. As far as being aesthetically pleasing no, it's not chic modern, it's very old school cozy. As for coffee it's the classics, not too fancy but can't go wrong. Support the local little guy! When I'm in the area, I'll stop by and have a drink and a pastry. There is plenty of seating available, in the form of couches as well as low and high tables. Many of the tables along the walls have available power outlets, and the wi-fi is free (no password needed). I love this little local spot!! They always have a number of delicious cakes, pastries, sandwiches, as well as refreshing drinks!! Apparently they have a new drink that I didn't know about, which is what I got! I am holding a dragon, fruit lemonade, spritzer!! It's quite literally a dragon, fruit juice mixed with lemonade and then some seltzer water! Perfect for a sunny afternoon since it was 87° outside!! I also love the fact that this café is a working café with a number of chairs for their customers to sit in and lounge!! A lot of people do work/homework here and hang out granted it's kind of warm for me to be indoors, getting this dragon fruit lemonade spritzer was a nice way to cool off on my afternoon walk!! My friend and I came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite packed! There was only one person working the register and making drinks, but we overheard that his coworker was on her break. I ordered the hot chocolate and my friend ordered a pumpkin pie Havana cappuccino. My hot chocolate was filled to the brim! I had asked for whipped cream on top and all in all it was delicious! Dare I say it was actually filled up too much because I ended up spilling quite a bit all over myself, but eh it happens. My friend really enjoyed her pumpkin pie Havana cappuccino. She got a medium and declared it wasn't too sweet, all in all it was like a sweet latte. The only reason I settled at 3 stars is because some other customer accidentally grabbed my friend's drink at pick up. We just assumed they had ordered the same drink because they were behind us in the order line too, so the timing didn't seem to off. However, after 5 minutes had passed and other people who had ordered after us were grabbing their drinks we realized what had actually happened. So my friend told the barista, who just looked at her super distrustingly and said that she had already made the drink. To which my friend gently replied, "then someone else may have mistakenly taken it." The barista did not look convinced or happy to fix the situation whatsoever. She did make another drink, but it was just an odd interaction to witness. I would come again, but just encourage others to stay on top of grabbing their orders. read more

This place has been around for a while and understandably so - it has a nice amount of food and drinks, ample seating, and is in a good location, literally in the heart of Campbell downtown. I persoanlly have enjoyed coming here earlier in the morning when it's quieter and there's less people. Service is alright, and the vibe of the coffee shop is a bit older-fashioned, hence my 4 star rating. But it is still a coffee shop I have visited a lot in the past and plan to still stop by if I'm in the area every once in a while. read more

Amazing coffee! Early in the morning fix for sure! The staff is very very friendly! Kayla helped us out and really great service! It was our first time here and always a fun adventure! Going into an unknown area to find a hidden gem. Many locals end up here it seems because everyone is drinking coffee and working / reading the newspaper. Think of it like a more homebody Starbucks. Very very open space and easy seating. There's a section next to the window with amazing lighting. Enough about the facility. Let's talk about the food and the coffee! She recommended the morning glory with the Nutella inside. Omg amazing!!! I always ask what's the most popular and she recommended the lavender with vanilla. I don't know if it's because I'm so used to the same coffee everyday, but this coffee smells so good and tastes amazing. No need for cream or sugar because of the syrup. Sweet and strong both of our favorite go tos for coffee. We will definitely be back here again thank you so much!!! Kayla is super super helpful!!! Came to this coffee shop this morning, for just a large coffee, and I did not have cash with me. I was told I had to purchase another item to make the total $5 or more. I live walking distance from this place and I would love to love going here, but they are so inconsistent and unreliable. Their menu says breakfast is served until noon, but they always seem to close their breakfast early. I've seen them close it anywhere from 10:45 to 11:00am. I get a different excuse every time: "our cook had to leave", "the griddle is broken", "we had an issue in the kitchen". This has been happening for weeks now. They also seem to get coffee orders wrong a lot. You need to make sure you watch them make your coffee if you ask for alternative milks. They will often get it completely wrong and then they don't remember what they put in it when you go back to clarify. read more

I want local independent stores to do well. In this day and age of Starbucks, Peet's and even Blue Bottle coffee stores I really want to support my local independent stores and staff. This cafe is located at a premium location with bustling Sunday farmers market. There's so much going for it . Unfortunately the food and coffee selection leaves a lot to be desired. NOTE: You can't just put out pastries from Costco and try to sell it with an upcharge? I mean is this your local highschool concession stand? You've marketed yourselves as a unique roaster. That's great but what's your specialty customer loving coffee drinks? My biggest peeve during my recent visit is the customer service. As a local independent purveyor, I think it's the customer service that makes you unique and keep the customers coming back . I paid over $9 for a single bag of tea in addition to a coffee order. I tipped $1.75 for the service. Things were fine until I went back for some additional hot water for my tea, the lady filled it half way. I am not sure why but the last time I checked hot water didn't cost much. A little bit of conversation or pleasantry would have been nice as well. Good luck Orchard valley. Filthy store! Employees act like you're bothering them by coming in. Two employees were behind the counter and the store was not busy at all (3 PM) but they somehow lost my order. After the next three customers received their orders I went back to the counter to inquire and they acted like it was MY problem! I asked for a refund but even that took FIVE MINUTES! Orchard Valley Coffee is still as good as I remember it to be. It's charming, bookstore-like vibe, and large open windows make the place super inviting. The menu is ample and really caters to real coffee lovers. No weird renditions or variations, just the simple old coffee we all know of. They also carry lots of great bakery goods too! I've always been a huge fan of their zebra mocha and their danishes. I love it so much that I literally haven't tried anything else besides those two haha. The staff is always super nice and my orders come out extremely quick. If you're staying a while, they'll even pick up a short conversation with you. Nonetheless, you'll have the simple necessities here. I usually come by with a book, order, and read by the window. If you're around, stop by. You won't be disappointed read more

I came here one Sunday morning and decided upon trying the breakfast burrito with hashbrowns. The first thing to note is that it isn't huge, which I actually appreciate in a breakfast burrito. Some places make massive breakfast burritos and while they may be a better bang for your buck, finishing one of those behemoths can leave you overly-stuffed and lethargic with your whole day in front of you. For this burrito the ingredients seemed to be good quality, though they skimped on the cheese which was unfortunate. The biggest problem with the burrito was simply the lack of flavor. Thankfully they give you a little cup of salsa because without it, there just isn't much there in terms of taste. Everything is very lightly seasoned and even though it was small, I ended up not finishing it. The cafe itself is spacious with a lot of seating which I definitely appreciate. They had decent looking pastries and coffees so I will be coming back some time, I just don't see myself ordering the breakfast burrito again. read more

Very cool coffee shop right on the edge of downtown Campbell towards on the main drag. Pretty freaking huge place for coffee. Lots of seating, indoor and outdoor. Good, cooked breakfast menu. A few pastries and bagels. Toasted cheese bagel and cream cheese was as expected. But the egg, cheese and sausage sandwich were particularly good! The menu shows it on a bagel, but we asked for a buttery croissant instead, which of course made it even better. Extremely popular. I cannot believe how rude one of the staff members was this morning. They missed one of our coffees and refused to look at our receipt, wouldn't look us in the eyes, interrupted me over and over while I tried to explain we were missing a coffee. Orchard Valley Coffee has some outdoor tables, but also wayyy more indoor seating than I expected - this place is spacious! The man at the counter was very nice and I ordered a Dirty Marsala Chai (iced) and an Almond Croissant. Despite it being a busy time, the service was fast and both items were ready quite quickly. The croissant was delicious! I shared it with my parents and we finished it in about 3 seconds. The chai was alright - I think they may have forgotten the extra shot of espresso because it was very light in color and didn't seem to contain much caffeine. Tasted good though! I just spent just under 2 hours at the cafe -- I bought a coffee & food & left a cash tip, I'm in the service industry so I understand how important this is. I was notified by one of the baristas that they were closing shortly (in 3 minutes) so I packed up my stuff and went back to use the bathroom before driving back to SF (over an hour drive) -- the other barista literally blocked me from walking down the hallway put her hand up and said the bathrooms are closed. I told her I had over an hour drive and asked if she minded if I use the bathroom, she said no, I just moped. I asked if I could wait a couple mi it's for the floors to dry, and she said no, we're closing. There were still other people left in the cafe. Long story short, I'm on my period, and another woman refused rights for me to go to the bathroom at an establishment that was STILL open that I had spent my money, and not only did she deny me, she was extremely rude too. They'll never get my business again. If you don't like your job, and you're not fit for customer service or treating people with common decency, get a different job. read more
