This was my first visit to the bakery. I was pleasantly surprised to seat how many welcoming seats there were. The selection of pastries and coffee was impressive. I decided to get 2 sweet and 2 savory pastries. For sweet, I ordered the pistachio cream and almond croissant. Both were good. For savory, I ordered the rise and swine (with maple syrup and bacon) and the biscuity business (sausage gravy on a puff pastry). These 2 were beyond excellent. I will return for the savory options. Fantastic, all-around. I lived in France for two years and visit France regularly (I teach French). I always get pains au chocolats (chocolate croissants), croissants and baguettes when in France. I believe that I've tried all of the bakeries around the OKC metro. 1) Baguette. Noel's met my needs of color, flavor and texture. You won't find one more authentic. 2) Croissants and pains au chocolat. These are the classic viennoisierie (bakery) tests in my mind. It's what most pastry chefs/bakers in France pride themselves on (with baguettes, of course), and it's how you know if it's a good bakery. Noel's croissant and pain au chocolat are simply outstanding, especially the pain au chocolat, which was as good as any I've had in Paris. Crispy, flaky, buttery, layered, golden, airy...and the chocolate was just the right sweetness and bitterness. It's so hard mastering pastry...you'll appreciate her artisanship. I have to put those three above Harvey's. If you're trying to find the best pastry around you must give Noel a shot. It's also worth noting that she's warm and friendly! Bravo! read more

The pastries at this location was okay at best. All the pastries but one of them was dry as can be. It tasted like the batter was definitely over whipped during the prepping process. The three stars was the saving grace of that one pastry which was the apple filled one, and that was actually decent. If you had time, I would rather drive to the city and go to Harvey's or Tous Les Jours for way better pastries. But if you were in a hurry to go to work and didn't have time, then just try your luck here. The service was good. But for 2 pastries and 3 dinner rolls to come out to 25 dollars, just drive somewhere else. I know we are in Edmond, but for 25 dollars you can get more better ones at one of the other two locations I mentioned. read more

I adore this little French bakery and bistro. It's tucked away in a nondescript little shopping center, but don't let that fool you. It's well worth the visit. Every pastry I've tried has been wonderful but I can't get over the cruffin. It's a flaky cinnamon sugar pastry with a light crème filling. I tried the wild blueberry danish today and it was buttery and delicious. My husband gives high marks to the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant, and I really enjoyed the jammon burre for lunch. You might call first, we arrived 40 minutes before their closing time to find the entire bakery case empty. It was our first visit so we did not know if that meant they were sold out, or if they don't display their baked goods so stood awkwardly at the counter being so obviously ignored by the woman making a coffee drink behind the counter.Finally another customer acknowledged us and said - "they are sold out of all their baked goods". I was blown away by the pastries here!! We were in Austria and Germany in May and this bakery rivals anything we had over there!! The icing on the cake is this bakery uses unbleached and non-GMO flour. Edmond is lucky to have such a wonderfully healthy bakery in its backyard! Like most people in East Edmond I've been super excited for this place to open! Went in today and got about 1 of everything to try. The everything ham and cheese croissant was EVERYTHING! The croissant was crispy on the outside like it's supposed to be, slightly salty and pillowy and soft on the inside--utter perfection! I also grabbed a few other things to try because, why the heck not? Cheese danish--this was all the things and I will absolutely be back for another, and another, and another thankyouverymuch The cruffin--the texture of a croissant but also softer in the inside than a traditional croissant. The cinnamon and sugar was a nice complement and texture to the rest of the pastry. Although this wasn't my favorite thing, it was still far superior to anything else you can buy at a competitor bakery in the area. The chocolate croissant was exactly what you'd want in a chocolate croissant--if you're a chocolate lover, this will 100% satisfy! Lemon custard flower- this one was absolutely not what I expected but in a totally good way! The lemon was subtle and complimented the meringue topping perfectly! Sort of reminded me of a lemon meringue pie if the pie crust was a croissant and the lemon wasn't as pungent. It was really really good and would make an awesome surprise sweet treat for a special someone. Lastly--the almond croissant was BY FAR my favorite thing and pretty high up there in terms of favorite things I've ever eaten IN MY LIFE. Bravo CDLC you have left a lasting memory in my heart AND my tummy. I will for sure be back as much as I can and still manage to fit into my jeans just for this delicious morsel. Tried this bakery a few weeks ago and loved it. Came back today and it is even better. After retiring here it was disappointing that there were no European style bakeries in Edmond. This place is AMAZING! I'm visiting from another state and stopped in with family. Everyone is very nice. All the pastries were so incredibly delicious. I also had a hot tea variety I'd never had, it was also super delicious. They were kind enough to show me the bag so I can get some back home (fingers crossed!) Promising patisserie shop but not quite there. Cruffin comes closest but croissant pastries fall flat. Not flaky and bottoms are chewy. Tastes like a bought pastry rather than homemade? The wannabe baguette is maybe a batard but more like a Crest Italian loaf. Good Baguettes worth the drive - Mr. Lee's sandwiches-La Baguette-whole Foods. Passable croissant - Crest if heated for a bit. Excellent croissants-Trader Joe's frozen almond and chocolate. Bake in your oven and eat em while they are hot.
