Very family friendly! My family and I decided to try this place this passed sunday and it was awesome! Mia? Maya? And Taylor were the only reason my wife and I were able to eat. They distracted our children just long enough that we were able to enjoy our breakfasts thank you guys for making us feel so welcomed its hard having 3 under 3 but this place made it easy! With such friendly attentive staff we won't be going anywhere else! Taylor especially helped us figure out a good way to feed all 3 kids without them fighting over it! I had the Cuban wife had the avocado toast she didn't much care for it but loved the hashbrowns. The Cuban was awesome! This place was close to.our hotel and we saw a recommendation on the hotel bulletin board. It is located on the ground floor of what appears to be a medical building. When you walk in there is a upgraded diner feel. We were seated immediately and greeted by our waitstaff with a smile. One of the differences is that they have mimosas and other drinks available. The food is fantastic. We started with beignets that are served with Carmel, chocolate and mixture of maple syrup, peanut butter and bits of bacon. The is definitely on a higher level than a standard diner. The menu selection has a mixture of breakfast, brunch and lunch selections. The prices are very reasonable. Beautiful place in a great location. We were seated quickly by warm and friendly staff. Our waitress Nova was terrific - efficient & attentive without intruding. Our two breakfast entrees were perfectly cooked: eggs sunny side up, crisp bacon & hash brown nuggets, and a fluffy fluffy pancake. The other entree was The Kitchen Sink and it was beautiful! Still totally love Hatch, but they've revamped the menu and I'm sad to say the change in their chicken and waffles is not for the better. Breading on the chicken is much too salty and felt oily. We were seated by a very friendly hostess after checking in on the app. This was the best part of our visit. After sitting at our table for over 10 minutes and not being greeted or even acknowledged, despite a countless employees walking by, we just got up and left. And no, they were not that busy. When we sat down, I actually mentioned to my wife the first time we went to Hatch upon moving to Oklahoma City; the atmosphere, food, and service were all amazing, and we could not wait to bring our family there when they visited. I wish I could give this review more than 3 stars, but our experience left much to be desired. We used Yelp to join the waitlist and were 4th in line. After arriving at the restaurant 5-7 minutes later, we were told it would be another 5-10 minutes and that we were now 2nd in line. However, after 10 minutes, we noticed several parties being seated and our name had disappeared from the list. We were added back, now as 11th, and finally seated 10 minutes later, almost in the kitchen next to the loud server station (one of them was talking very loudly to another on a couple of occasions). Despite the wait and seating issues, our waitress was very polite, and the food was good, hence the 3-star rating. We would love to give this place a second chance since it's close to our house. We hope by then the hostess and online waiting processes have improved. read more

Best brunch date! Food can be a bit pricey, but it's really really good. One of our token places we take friends when they are visiting. Service has always been 10/10, even if we are on the waitlist and it's super busy. Occasionally coffee can take a minute. It's busy but not too loud inside. They have TVs to watch sports. I'm such a hatch fan. Their orange juice is superior, the service is always personal and kind, and the food never misses except the one time I got watery oatmeal. There is something for everyone here, I bring my friends here often. I recommend you start with their feature pancakes as your APPETIZER (yes trust me share this with friends) and also you must have a mimosa with their fresh juice. Then all I can tell you is everything has been good. I would point you to the kitchen sink, bagel and nova lox, over night oats (not the bruleed) or the smoked salmon Benedict. We stopped in for Brunch on a Sunday morning , knowing it would be very busy. It was. We were 11th in line so we accepted the community seating option. Our server had what looked like too many tables to cover, but was very good in spite of that. We ordered the English Lean & Mean (Whole Wheat English Muffin, Turkey Sausage, Egg Whites & Smoked Cheddar) and a Western Omelet. We swapped the breakfast potatoes for avocado slices, (Yum) and once we ordered the food didn't take too long. The food was very good, fresh and served hot. Our server checked on us, refilled coffees and apologized for any wait. I was impressed with his professionalism despite the number of people he had to cover. Customers seemed to continuously swarm through the door while we were there, good for the business but- The one downfall was the noise level. Not sure why but the customers talking made it almost impossible to have a conversation without talking directly into the other person's ear. There was the ever present background music , loud enough to hear the beat, but not the lyrics , because the noise level from customers was extremely loud. Not the restaurant's fault , but something we will keep in mind next time we are out for brunch. (Still giving them 4 stars though) P.S. Saw the Peppa Pig at a nearby table, when I told my companion, "There's Peppa Pig!, Peppa reacted by waving her arms and moving her feet! Hatch is one of my fave breakfast spots in the metro. We have gone to the Chisholm Creek one for years. Very excited to have one in East Edmond now. It feels bigger than the CC one. The outdoor bar area is a nice touch. Chicken Fried Eggs are a must try as always. They are my fave. The avocado toast and oatmeal are great too. The wait area is awkward with limited seating in a cold draft. We were seated in 25 minutes, moderate wait for a busy Sunday. **Ambiance**: Bright yellow and white walls, with TVs showing basketball and news. Mixed feelings about the decor--liquor bottles at brunch seemed odd. Seating was uncomfortable; chairs too low, booth seats too shallow. **Staff**: Our waiter was talkative and enthusiastic. Needed to ask for silverware after food arrived, but our waiter quickly resolved it. **Food**: Overall underwhelming. Portion sizes seemed small due to large plates. Wife liked her egg Benedict and nuggets. Son enjoyed his pancake and sausage. My biscuits and gravy were disappointing, with garlic-heavy gravy and no visible sausage. However...called this restaurant to place an order, because at the moment when you try to order online from the Hatch Early Mood Food - Edmond location...it directs you to a message saying your pickup will be located at their location on Broadway Avenue in downtown OKC (15 miles/20 minutes from the Edmond location)...SO...called the Edmond location directly. FIRST CALL..."do you mind being placed on a brief hold?" Sure I say. After waiting 10 minutes, I thought they must have forgotten about my call. SECOND CALL... I called back, and informed the same lady who answered that online ordering wasn't linked correctly to their location, (to which there was no response) and I'd been waiting for 10 minutes, could I please order? She says yes, after she transfers me. SO, I get transferred. After about five minutes, someone picks up the line and immediately hangs up on me. NICE! THIRD CALL...I waited 20 MORE MINUTES for someone to answer (no one ever did so I hung up). I was staying close by and really would have loved to try their food and enjoy the close proximity to their new Edmond location. But... I'll have to say so long and very sorry I wasted my time. Will go back to one of my other favorite places and see how long it takes to place an online order. *UPDATE - while waiting on hold the 3rd call with Hatch for 20 minutes, I have now completed an online order with Neighborhood Jam...and I'll be enjoying my favorite dish from there. Management - please note the online ordering from the Edmond location needs some serious attention. 40 MINUTES is an unacceptable amount of time to wait to PLACE AN ORDER - whether in person or calling/ordering online! I hope the issue I informed your employee of was communicated, it's not a difficult fix. I love the food at Hatch...too bad me and who knows how many others were not able to order due to this. 40 minute wait. No place to sit while you wait. We were 5th in line according to the app but there were a lot of others that walked inside and seated before our party of three was seated. They have a very poor process for cleaning tables. There would be 3 or more tables empty and the waitstaff had to clean tables. The food was mediocre at best.
