Parked my rig outside and popped in the Oasis for some Keftab Kebab at the Aladdin's. After finishing my Kebab, my attention was redirected to this Serbian Creperie Food Stall named Crepe Ave. Best decision ever. Ordered an Avacodo Turkey Crepe...thing is HUGE. The combination of Pesto, thin sliced turkey, Spinach, Avocado and fresh mozzarella is such a good blend. Just never had anything like it before sandwiched in Pancake Batter. Incredible! Extremely fresh and beautifully presented, reminds me of crepes in Paris (or better). Kind service and able to customize ingredients, made fresh to order. Both savory and sweet crepes were delicious but the Cora (raspberry coconut) was out of this world! Highly recommend. read more

Super random but super delicious. The two ladies working this afternoon were very nice. I wasn't traveling anywhere but decided to visit from home. I pass this oasis often and never knew this hidden gem was inside. Crepes are made fresh and they don't hold out on stuffing them up with ingredients. They also had pastries and other things for sale in the case but it was hard to get pictures because of the reflection. Candies, and unique drinks also available. She simply would just say it's two different things with attitude. Then she proceeded to just walk away and someone else helped make my order. On a recent road trip to Michigan we stopped at the oasis for snacks and a rest stop. A tollway oasis can be a gamble. All the usual fast food brands are present. McDonald's, Chinese fast food (ie Panda Express or Manchu Wok, etc) and usually a Subway. By chance (and especially in IL) it could also contain "massage chairs." The chair itself is the service offering chair massages up to an hour and connected is a pay machine which can take dollars or CC swipes. Randomly happened on this crepe and cevapi (cevapcici) stand. The oasis is something though. I ran into the most random of people and varying examples of what is considered clothing in a public space! About the crepes... Just friggin' awesome. Didn't have time for them to fry up some sausages or burek, so we stuck with one of their more interesting crepe options. Crepes with a shmear of brie cheese, stuffed with mixed berries then drizzled with honey and a toss of chopped nuts. Sooooo goood! If you're at the oasis and need some grub, definitely grab some crepes and try out their Serbian food selections. I was told their cevapi and burek are not made on the premises but of a popular local brand. Personally I didn't find any niceties in their staff. I am familiar with Serb/ Croat/ Bosnian foods and would have liked to engage with them a bit on their menu. Staff should remember, it's not just the folks that you have a 'connection' with that you should engage in conversations. A lady and a man worked the stand and both were short in speaking. If not for their stellar reviews... based solely on my conversations I would have left. They should work on what principles they use to assess their potential customers. If I'm through here again, which is more than likely, I will be checking out more of their offerings. read more

Walk your butts right past everything else in the oasis and go straight here!!! I've had many items from their menu. Burgers, sweet crepes, savory crepes, and desserts. My favorite sweet crepe is the lavazza crepe!! 100% recommend. I've had a 10 piece cevapi burger thing and it was MASSIVE - could be split for 2 people. The meat is spiced beautifully. So wonderful to find a place with exquisite homemade food on the road! Serbian dishes were delicious! We ordered Goulash, cabbage rolls and beans and sausage (aka Pusulj). Portions were huge and came with homemade Serbian/Yugoslavian bread. Berry Jam crepe was fantastic! We wish they would have put a little whipped cream on top to break the tartness of the fruit but otherwise it was delicious! Stopped by at the plaza to get my coffee and discovered this gem ! Obviously everybody loves sweet Crepes and they have huge variety of them . Nutella crepes are simply a dream ! I personally fell in love with Baltic Sea crepes with smoked salmon . I recommend to add caviar on it also - worth those $2 bucks ! They also have Lavazza espresso and tons of Eastern European treats , desserts etc. Also they deliver ! That's is one of the most important factors when choosing place for lunch. When you stop any of the remaining Oases off the Illinois Tollways, you might find a McDonald's, Subway, maybe a Panda Express or even a S'Barro. But at the Lincoln Oasis (near the Indiana Border off 294), there is a place I'd never heard of until recently and that's Crepe Avenue. Every time I would go to the Oasis it would be closed but recently it was open...and since I wanted to get a bite to eat (and was tired the same old fast food fare) I took a chance and stopped here. After browsing the selections, I decided on the Yugo Crepe. After waiting for the guy to make it, it was time to enjoy...and that I did. Its quite the loaded crepe (prosciutto, sausage, ham, three kinds of cheese, and even spicy tomato sauce) but oh was it good. The way it was served was like a giant slice of pizza but with a very thin crust. It was very tasty and delicious. Very well done too. So yes I will gladly come back and try this place again....maybe even their breakfast crepes. A nice isle of food excellence among the sea of fast food places out there. read more

Holy cow! Excellent. What a hidden gem! Located on the south Holland oasis, you wouldn't expect much. We got the pavi things. One jelly and one ham and mozzarella. A very unexpected find amongst the fast food standards on the Oasis. I had the jam and berry crepe with red currant jam (an incredible amount of options), absolutely fantastic.
