Went in for a Table of 1 (just myself) at 2:15pm and the host said the kitchen closes at 2:30pm and it would be too late to order which I understood, but when I was going back to my car I seen another party of 2 walk in and the host sat them down without question. I called right after I seen this and a different person on the phone answered & said I could still come in no issue as long as it's before 2:30pm. I told them what happened and they said the hostess did not know what I was talking about (trying to play it off) and claimed they only told me the business hours, not that I couldn't come in. Why would I lie about this? & if that was the case then why didn't she stop me from leaving? If I wanted the hours I would've called or looked on Google. But no, as I was going up the stairs the host had came to talk to me in the front entrance part of the restaurant before I could even enter the main door. Shame, I liked going here and as a table of 1 I would be pretty quick, about 30-40 mins in and out. Not sure why they didn't want to seat me vs the other group, and I probably wouldn't like to know the answer either. I typically tip more than half the price of my meal since the bill isn't much for one person, but I will take my money elsewhere then. Came here on a random Saturday at brunch time and this place is hopping. This place is super packed. The parking lot is super packed so be prepared. As soon as we walked in, there was a long line of people checking out and paying their bill at the very front. Finally, the very busy lady behind the counter who was helping everyone check out acknowledged us, asked us how many we were and I told her two. Then a second employee came out out of nowhere and acknowledge the man after us who was in line behind doesn't ask him how many were in his party and he said one she took a menu immediately seated him and did not even acknowledge us nor ask us how many we were. At this point, I was already not happy however a third employee showed up and quickly seated us because the first employee told her to help us When we got seated, our waitress told us her name was Melissa although on the check it read as Jacquelyn Melissa was very nice and patient with us because we were not decided very quickly and this was our first visit. When everything arrived, and the portions are absolutely generous everything was piping hot, and there was no game of trying to find the meat in either of our orders The pancakes are big, slightly fluffy, and definitely not overly burdened with flower, which is great Coffee is OK could be stronger Glad that we got seated at a booth by the window I would definitely come back here again Eventually, while we were eating, I was facing that front area in that front desk area. Pancake house has always been a solid breakfast. My wife and I go there every other weekend. However, just today I was told they no longer honor the Munster football discount card on weekends. The discount card was a big factor in our decision to go to pancake house. No signage, no issue until today. Pancake house has lost my business. read more

They used to be good. I would go there every other week until they changed the hash browns. The shredded potatoes they had were dry and tasteless. I thought maybe it was a bad day but nope they were horrible. Food used to be so good but all has changed. Not going back. Have found a new place to go to and great hash browns. As much as I enjoyed the breakfast, there is no way you should be able to scam your customers the way you do. It is absolutely improper to not inform customers of your additional fees for every item, including 50¢ for a to-go cup after sitting in your restaurant. The fact that you do not inform customers that you will not separate meals for two people, have the indecency to charge extra for to go cup, and no way to leave feedback is absurd. It is not a matter of affordability before you respond with eating within budget, it's about proper customer service. You have a right to your own policies for your business but it is formal customer service to inform your customers with signage or something. Maybe put it on your chalkboard that you eloquently decorate. read more

When the food came, we all dug in so my pictures don't do it justice! But overall everything was good and reasonably priced. The skillet comes with three eggs. The veggies in the skillet are fresh and not over cooked. You can upgrade your side of pancakes to one of the signature pancakes. The omelettes are a nice size and cooked perfectly. The Nutella French toast looked and tasted amazing! The place is nice and clean, with a decent sized dining room. They also have a nice size parking lot. Service was good, coffee cups stayed full. Visited buttermilk for breakfast and had a good experience. We were seated immediately by the hostess. She gave us a preference of a table or booth. The waitress greeted us within a minute of our arrival and she was friendly and helpful and we received water the moment we sat down. They have good specials and a-la-cart items so you are able to substitute items. I ordered the waffle breakfast. The breakfast came with a large Belgian waffle, eggs, hash browns, bacon and sausage. I added strawberries and whip cream for a small up charge. They asked me if I wanted fresh strawberries or preserves. Also ordered was a wild hog skillet. It came with hasbrowns, eggs, cheese, sausage, ham and bacon. A plain waffle was also ordered. It was great to be back in the Region. The place was packed, but the tables were turning quickly. I was so excited to be back home. The typical pancake house does now exist everywhere in Texas. We have a few, but not everywhere- like the Region. I ordered my favorite - corn beef hash skillet with scrambled egg and pancakes instead of toast. There is no handicapped accessible entrance. The host just walked to our table left the menus on the table and walked away. Not much of a welcome. Our waitress, Alexis, was the highlight of our visit. The food was ok, but it could have been much warmer. It wasn't cold, but it wasn't hot either. I have driven by this place a thousand times and it never really caught my eye enough to want to dine here. Well, finally I decided to drop in. The very 1st thing I look for in any restaurant, is the staff allowed to wear political divisive masks, bracelets or buttons such as MAGA, BLM or Rainbow paraphernalia? All of that turns me off for the hired help to be allowed to display such symbols. I want peace when I'm being served breakfast. I noticed the staff politically free of paraphernalia and that's a good thing. My waitress was delightful and most efficient, her name was Selena, very sweet young lady. A good waitress means so much and adds greatly to the dining experience. I loved to space, the openness and the comfortable seating. The restaurant had wonderful, spacious and calming atmosphere. I loved it. My breakfast was excellent and I'll be back for more. The only thing I didn't care for, was that the ham slice appeared to be be cut and thin. I'm not going condemn the restaurant based on that one item. I hope they'll improve on the ham they serve in the future. I'll try breakfast sausage the next time. My cousin brought me here for my birthday this year and I loved it. That time I got the combo (2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 2 sausage links, hash browns and a small juice) that comes with pancakes but I upgraded them to the pineapple ones and they were soooo good. This time I wanted to go to Love on the Blu but after reading how the owner replies to bad reviews there's no way I would spend or allow anyone I know to spend their money there. So me and Bae came here. This time I got the combo but had them add bell pepper, onion and cheddar cheese to my hash browns. I also upgraded the pancakes again but tried the cinnamon apple ones. Again a hit! Bae got the steak and eggs, he said everything was good but the steak could've used a little seasoning. I've driven past this spot for years and never thought to go in. This review is for Tuesday October 13, 2020 After coming back from an appointment with my lady we decided to grab breakfast before heading home. She went in to place the order and said staff was nice, just for heads up for some until I guess things change, they are not prepping beverages to go, only meals, but f you dine it you can order a beverage. So we ordered the following: 1 order of the Western Omelet, chose 2 pancakes, had slices of apple in cinnamon for the pancakes. 1 Order of Spicy Mexican Omelet chose 2 pancakes, had slices of apple in cinnamon for the pancakes. 1 order of bacon, ham, and sausage links My Lady and I were happy with what we ordered for breakfast, I will say we both tried another omelet and loved what we tasted, flavor is there, also with the size of the omelet well we did not have to cook that day s we had this for breakfast and then later for lunch and dinner with how we spread it out for the day. The pancakes were good in our opinion, the sausage, links we both loved them, as for the bacon, my lady liked it more than I did as I kept tasted a weird after taste, probably due to the fat it was cooked in. So by no means am I saying do not order it, just preference wise I did not like it, but my lady did. I will say we have been back here now I want to say 2 or 3 times since the 13th, but I just now remembered to review this day for now. read more

We were actually on our way to another spot, but decided to stop here instead bc we always drive by and we figured why not. They were pretty busy, but we were sat almost immediately (group of 5). We were worried a little bit because a review said it was dingy. Sure it still probably needs a little make over, but it was well lit and you can tell that everything was very clean, our table was still a little wet from being wiped down. The waitress was great, she checked on us a decent amount, but wasn't bothersome. Service was very fast, it wasn't hurried. Can't say enough about the food, everything was great. Hot and fresh. The pancakes with apples were very good. They serve a good amount as well. We definitely plan on going back to try other menu items. read more
