Despite them being swamped with orders, they handled the rush well and delivered our crepes timely. It's expensive because you're in the prime tourist area of Seattle so don't be surprised by the $20 crepe. Considering where you are and how good it is, it's totally worth it. Something about their fruit filled crepes that keeps me coming. Maybe it's just how fresh the fruit they use always seems to be. It's like they only use fruit that's perfect tlt ripe. Now their savory crepes are fairly average. The actual crepes itself is pretty filling. It's a bit thicker and filling than what I prefer but it's hard to complain about food that fills you up fast without proportionaly being the larger of the ingredients. Also, I've had much thicker crepes at other locations and i wasnt a fan, but these are fine. The thickness extra elastisity also helps keep it from tearing in odd places on accident. It's peach season again! I cannot explain how good the peach crepes are. The peaches are so perfectly ripe and flavorful, only a bit of sweet cream with the peaches as the filling with whipped cream on top of the crepe. It's so good that my neighbor and I have a standing appointment to come to the market every weekend just for the crepes; we split the Herbs de Provance and the Peach crepe for a savory-sweet combo. The Herbs de Provance is also so good, delicious fresh tomatoes, goat cheese, and spinach...but the weekly appointment is definitely for the peach crepes. I get very sad when peach season ends. I was in the mood for a sweet snack and crepe de france was one of the only places open at Pike Market still and it was great! I opted for the peach crepe since it's seasonal. I was hesitant for $17 but it was HUGE and the peaches were perfectly sweet and ripe. The vanilla cream wasn't too sweet, but I did take the whipped cream on top off. The kids wanted crepes, and I wanted a traditional breakfast, so I went here with some hesitancy. I was already annoyed because we couldn't locate this place and had to ask the ghost coffee place for some help. In case you are lost it's right above ghost coffee. Just go up the stairs and make a left. We were here around 11AM. The place is small, and seating was at a premium. There was only one cook making crepes, and I believe that had to do with the small kitchen and prep available for making the crepes. Just a note, the chef doesn't move with a sense of urgency either, so be patient. I say all that because even though service was slow, and we had to wait a little to find a table for the four of us, eventually we did and as I'll mention later, the savory and sweet crepes were surprisingly good! All the crepes are made to order and everything appeared to be nice and fresh. The sweet crepes had real peaches, strawberries and bananas and nothing artificial. My savory crepe (#17) was a fairly large portion and very savory! I really enjoyed my meal. Tasting a little of the sweeet crepe w my savory really balanced it out well. This may not be the traditional breakfast I expected, but all of us really did enjoy our meals. Everything is fairly simple but sometimes that is ok too. So delicious. It was pretty large, but we split it between 2 of us. Very light, strawberries were fresh. It's just very delicious overall. Our company had the Nutella crepe, in size it was simpler, just a crepe with Nutella. They really enjoyed it, though. I really wanted their peaches and cream crepe, but it's seasonal. They told us to come back in July for it, and that's when the peaches are perfect. We will definitely be back to try that peaches and cream crepe. However I would not advise trying to Cepe Du Jour as the mushrooms and spinach inside are just raw and flavorless- it needs those veggies sautéed first and it needs a sauce on top to kick it up a notch. Every time I go in, it's always busy or when it's slow, the men are always sitting on their phones or talking more than working. I've ordered a turkey crepe for my first time and found a piece of hair melted with cheese. Please for the love of god, don't drink the water from the water container by the entrance, pretty sure it's been sitting for months. Has a mildew like flavor. They offer a smoked salmon crepe but were out of the cream cheese and the bechamel sauce. They told us it would be fine and made it anyway. It was awful. I now know the flavor value of putting in the cream cheese because it balances out the smoked salmon. They should know this and should not have offered to make the crepe. When I told them they just said sorry. Now I am left with a bad taste in my mouth and out the cost of a crummy crepe. Yuck! read more
