This place looks like it's from the 70's, so they know how to construct a crepe! The s'mores crepe was gooey and delicious but the paper cone held it all together so you didn't wind up wearing it! The line can get crazy but it's worth the wait. They are located right on the boardwalk just a few feet away from the beach . I've been here several times and had dozens of crepes. They are the best crepes I've ever had and we are kind of crepe nuts... Had the smores crepe, butter sugar and butter sugar banana (think banana sandwich) which were delicious and they put ample ingredients inside, however while ordering or waiting you can ask them to alter add less or skip ingredients. Was there a wait? Yes of course Saturday night 30 minutes and they were making them as fast as they could on 7 machines... They aren't slow but crepes take time or they will be soggy / our had a delightful crisp bite to the outside The guy working (shown) was a machine and making high quality product as fast as possible - I appreciate that quality doesn't drop with the crowd. Note: to the poster about ham and Gruyere - if you order one with cheese it will be oily as cheese oils come out in melting .. Expect it。. I'd recommend you eat the top 3/4. So this place is a pretty interesting idea. Boardwalk crepes, there on the go and quick snack The good: They offer a variety of flavors and you can get something dessert like in a snap to go. They are pretty tasty, and will give you a bit of a sugar rush. The bad: The first half of the crepe is easy to eat, the second half not so much. The ugly: The price on these things are really high, at the end of the day its a less viscous pancake batter, making thin pancakes with some toppings. I was able to justify the price the first time because i just had to try it, but i doubt i would do it again. read more

I had to update my review. I was at the beach today and all the boardwalk businesses were super overrun and busy due to father's day. I got a crepe, but there was a group of children in front of me who had very specific requests about certain things either being (chocolate chips, nutella!) or not being (fruit, blech!) in their crepes. Despite being busy with a line, one of the men making the crepes was amazing with the children to make sure their crepes were exactly what they wanted. I am a huge fan of supporting small business, and I love seeing a business give a customer, especially kids, such attention and not just churning them out to get through the crowd. This is a small business I want to support more than ever. I'll be there constantly... amazing crepes and amazing customer service. read more

Whoever owns this place is wasting his time with this business. The employees are creating absolutely delicious crepes, and they're being filled with canned sugary bullshit. Beautifully browned, patient, careful crepes are pouring from this stand only to be murdered with apple pie fillings. sauces from cans you buy at depots, and disgusting frozen ingredients. If the Crepe Shop were to make their own fillings with fresh fruit, some homemade sauces, and some fucking passion, this place would be a veritable gold mine. We live in New Jersey. We have produce markets out the wazoo. Fish markets, meat markets. Shit, this is Asbury, they have three farmers markets a week. But, instead of actually doing the work necessary to have a successful business, they cut corners and lure in tourists and kids who wouldn't know a crepe if it was 100 ft tall, rampaging through Neo-Tokyo. It's a great idea, with a great product that is completely ruined by laziness and shortsightedness. Normally, this would be a one star failure, but the employee felt pained by having to use this crap, and the crepe he prepared for me was... and I mean this... fucking perfect. After a day at the beach and a few bites at the Watermark crepes sounded like the perfect way to end the day. The menu is pretty extensive with both sweet and savory options at this small crepe stand. The stand is lined with jars and jars of Nutella which is incorporated into many of their crepes. I also saw fresh fruits used in all of the crepes. Stand only accepts cash. i was feeling gluttonous so I opted for the Priscilla.. Crepe filled with Nutella, banana and Reese's peanut butter cups topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and their homemade whipped cream. The crepe was folded a few times in a triangle and then served in a to go container. I was only able to finish about half of the crepe, seems that my eyes were bigger than my stomach. Great concept as made-to-order crepes are visibly made in front of you. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and worked quickly to execute orders. The crepes were large and filled nicely which made the price worthwhile. I just wish it had better flavor as it tasted really bland. The chocolate sauce definitely wasn't Nutella on the crepes ordered either. Given all of the other positive reviews, maybe they were low on inventory or had an off day. Had a horrible experience at this shop. It took over 30 minutes to get a crepe and even then I had to ask for it. The place was very unorganized and almost every customer either asked for their money back or had to repeatedly ask for their order. The employees didn't seem to care that nothing was going well. When I did get the crepe (ham and gruyere) it was not good. Had grease or oil dripping from the bottom of the container and the mayo tastes like it had turned. The crepe itself was made with a sweet batter even though it should have been a savory one. By all of the previous reviews I have to assume that maybe the staff was new because I did not have the same experience as most. read more

I was told it was a 15 minute wait and it ended up being 20, which wasn't too far from their estimation. I ordered the strawberry and Nutella crepe and it was pretty good. It was so difficult to eat out of their to go containers, but I guess you sign up for that when you order a to go crepe! Last week I went to this shop. After waiting about 10 minutes for the crepe maker to dance around to the music on his boom box and joke around with people, he took my order. Although there was only one other customer ahead of me, it took another 10 minutes to make it, and he got it wrong. I asked for a mozzarella and red peppers, and he gave me one with tomatoes and basil. I didn't find this out until I bit into it. Being a vegetarian, I figured it was ok. However, it sent me running to the bathroom ten minutes later, and made me queasy for the rest of the day. It makes me wonder how well he cleans the equipment. He was the only employee there when I was there, on Friday, August 30. I think they should focus more on cleanliness and service than entertainment.
