I did not realize that One Bite Cafe took over the former Great Harvest Bread. I had checked out One Bite Cafe before in Seattle's Roosevelt neighborhood out of curiosity regarding croffles, but it didn't not leave a lasting impression at the time (open since 2019, with that visit in July 2022). However, when The College Friend set up a meet up at the Lake Forest Park site yesterday (open since May 2022, this visit on 4/9/26). There is an interior entry from the two level retail area and an exterior entry adjacent to the big shared parking lot. It took me a few tries until I found a spot. I was kindly greeted upon entry while the counter person was assisting the customer ahead of me. I ordered and paid directly on the convenient touch screen kiosk located to the left of the main register. I liked the interior transformation. Lots of onsite seating configurations and pleasant decor. Overhead music played the Beatles, which was a pleasant surprise. The wrap around pastry cases with well placed menu placards showed the variety of menu offerings. There's a wide variety of bevs, sweet and savory pastries, desserts, sandwiches, and even gluten free items from NuFlours. I ordered a 22oz iced classic milk tea with 75% sweetness and no toppings, plus some Korean sausage bread. The College Friend decided on a toasted Reuben with chips. We also shared a Portuguese egg tart. We were onsite for three hours. I noticed a constant stream of customers who also dined onsite, as well as, folks getting items to go. I appreciated observing the consistent pleasant and helpful counter staff, all with welcoming smiles! I learned that One Bite Cafe has grown to four sites: Seattle/Roosevelt, Lake Forest Park, Woodinville, and Federal Way. That's great to see ongoing success for this local, indie cafe chain. Lake Forest Park Town Center is lucky to have a variety of cafe, bar, and restaurant destinations. One Bite Cafe gets a collective 5 star for this first time visit.

We shared the black sesame einspanner, mango bingsu, and strawberry croffle. On the croffle, the sauce was sweet and the strawberries were perfect. Everything was delicious, extremely high quality and so esthetic. I loved the little details, like the spoon shaped like a little spade and a pink straw with a heart cross section. We had a very happy time at Our Place. Visiting here was like being transported to Korea. They even have croffles with flavors like brown cheese, and ube einspanners, and injeolmi bingsu! We chose to come for dessert around seven pm and the cafe was packed. The variety of cheesecakes and other desserts to choose from was an adventure in and of itself! Everything looks delicious. Even the regular einspanner was well balanced and delightful to try. We ordered the sampler to try more cheesecake and definitely found our favorite in the Biscoff cookie flavored cheesecake! I mentioned to her I've gone to plenty of 85 locations including this one and have always showed my drivers license. She then proceeded to tell me she never done it this way and have to message her boss but less than 20 seconds later she just applies it. Gave attitude and all for what reason? She kept talking back to me, didn't care to maintain eye contact and pushed the bag full of pastries towards me like she didn't have a care. I always order sea salt caramel coffee and this is the first time it doesn't taste as it should... Unfortunately I didn't see a name tag but she gave attitude to the customer behind me as well, hopefully it doesn't continue for the rest of the customers who's undeserving of that. Even if you have a bad day, doesn't mean you should project it onto people especially customers. Who wants to start their morning with bad coffee and even worse attitude? Management should go through trainings especially customer service and valid military IDs for active members and veterans.

This was at 8AM - first time I've visited an 85 this early and I wasn't expecting it to actually be decently busy! They also had the boba ready at 8AM and I couldn't resist getting a drink as well. Boba Milk Tea, Medium, 25% Sweet ($4.85) - I've only gotten boba in the afternoon from 85C, most recently from the Lynnwood location, and it wasn't very good at all. I'm guessing they don't rotate the boba at all, so ordering it earlier is better. The boba at 8AM is actually pretty good with a surprisingly decent chew and bounce and a good sweetness on the exterior that's also sticky and soft. The pearls aren't really consistent in size, but are consistent in texture, which is more important. For the tea - 50% sweet is usually way too sweet for me at 85C. 25% is good and not too sweet. Unfortunately there isn't much tea flavor and it mainly tastes milky and creamy. Milk Tea Rating: 3/5 Boba Rating: 4/5 White Chocolate Strawberry ($2.60) - Very soft bun with the typical artificial strawberry flavor. The bun is super soft with a nice subtle bounce. Small pieces of softened white chocolate are embedded in the strawberry flavored cream on the inside. It's a well balanced bun that's sweet but not cloying.
