Last three times my order has been incorrect. such a great place.. I just would like my order.

I was getting my tires installed at Discount Tire and just wandered around here, not my usual Ballard hood so don't know spots up here. Was properly surprised! These Brazilian dough-y things were awesome! Perfectly baked, reasonably priced and a big variety of fillings if that's your thing. I ate there, it was very clean inside and since I was there in the morning it seemed like it was mostly a drive through place with folks getting coffees and drinks. I bought more to bring home to the fam and will be back when I'm in the area! read more

The TUDO bowl is the best thing of life. It's sweet but not too sweet bc the açaí isn't that sweet. The toppings are incredible and make it sweeter! Feels like a dessert but it's healthy and I feel amazing after eating it. I'm truly addicted. I can't replicate it at home so I'll just keep visiting this wonderful place. read more

Went for the Acai energy bowl but tried the chicken cone. Now I'm addict to both! And you can't beat a drive through with great costumer service, fresh food, the bowl- let's start there- frozen, sweetness acai, topped with peanut butter and buried in granola, strawberries thinly sliced and beautifully arranged, bananas, drizzled in honey and topped in the center with Brazil nuts- I could never get tired of this! I wanted something else so asked for a suggestion- they are warm little rolled balls, with a light crust, seasoned just right, filled with chicken ( kind of texture of canned tuna), it's so simple but you won't be disappointed. So glad they opened near my house. I've only had Açaí bowls delivered through UberEats from green lake location few months ago. I didn't know they have espresso based drinks, frozen cheese balls to take home and warm pastries. I think shoreline location has a drive thru. Two girls behind the counter when I visited were both friendly and very informative ( I asked a lot of questions) Warm cozy ambiance, friendly staff And GREAT products at a reasonable price. read more

I really like coffee milkshakes and read reviews their blended coffee drinks are good. Never been here, so had to try a drink. Arrived here just to get one at 11:00 am. Was greeted promptly as I walked in. Nice display of different food offerings. I was the only customer here. The staff was eager to take my order. I just felt they were speeding me with limited interaction as possible. I did have some questions about the food. Just didn't ask based on their demeanor. Unfortunately, they were out of the powder to make a milkshake. Disappointed, ordered the Brazilian latte iced coffee Instead. Also ordered the Kitanda bread with chicken fajita, cheese and spinach. Since they specialize in açaí bowls, had to order the So Paulo bowl. A short wait. I was surprised they just throw your food on the counter and walk away. I was not expecting them to bring my food to me. However, since I was the only one customer there, I would have appreciated at least some eye contact or more. The latte was nice, smooth coffee taste. The açaí bowl was disappointing. It had minimal fruit on it. The granola was good. The lack of condensed milk as described was not enough to cover and made the bowl quite dry. The bread tasted good with the first few bites. The cheese bread makes this quite heavy and overpoweringly rich. I couldn't finish it. You bus your own table after finishing. I was looking forward to trying this new place and probably won't come back based on the service and underwhelming food. read more

I am in love with their smoothies - they are so good!!! I went in to chill just for a bit before getting on with the rest of the day, ordered a smoothie and coconut bun and it was a perfect moment of rest. I also tried another location as well and while the smoothie was still on point the kibe was kinda dry. Maybe it's hot or miss with the bakery items but it's a solid choice for a quick pit stop. read more

Love kitanda! I come here for the cheesy bread sandwiches. If you know Brazilian cheesy bread, it is so amazing and so good! Warm, fluffy, buttery, and cheesy bread that is always so delicious! They have a number of sandwiches that they do with the cheesy bread and range from 3-5 dollars in price! They are not big by any means but they are definitely worth the price and visit! I got the chicken fajita, cheese and spinach sandwich and it was so good! Chicken was moist and well seasoned, with a chunk of cheese and spinach in it. All the items were well balanced without one item taking up too much space, and the star of the show was the bread which kept everything together and was so good. Definitely recommend checking out kitanda if you are ever around one read more

Wanted to try somewhere new. Always enjoy a variety of coffees and sandwiches from different places. By far this one is in my top 10 places. Will definitely come back. I highly recommend. Brazilian latte was good. Spinach Sandwich with cheese was good as well. We ordered a big order. Americano, iced chai, mocha and Brazilian lattes. Ordered 6 sandwiches(gluten free). Bacon, egg and cheese, sausage, egg and cheese, hot dog, prosciutto, egg and cheese. Frutas açaí bowl. Yum!!! I assumed he's the guy in charge he saw me went to the man's bathroom, for no reason after 4 minutes he knock hard on door (a loud knock on door that mean "get out of there". Visiting my sister and her family this week and we needed coffee pronto! They highly suggested this place for something "different" in the coffee department. They ordered me a Brazilian Latte, condensed milk, oatmilk (my preference) and their coffee. So creamy and delicious! Something about condensed milk makes my heart flutter! So excited! Kitanda just opened in Shoreline last week! Today, we had 1) cold brew, 2) americano to drink. 3) pastrami, cheese, egg and spinach breakfast sandwich on brazilian cheese bread, 4) coconut pastry (looks like a cinnamon roll, but sweet coconut filling instead of cinnamon), 5) brazilian bread roll filled with gooey mozzarella and topped with shredded coconut, 6) brazilian truffles (3 chocolate and 3 coconut). All of this was about $30. There are so many more items that I want to try; looking forward to trying more next week! We ordered online for pick up through their app; much cheaper than ordering through grubhub/uber/etc, and you earn rewards for free drinks/food! Kitanda is located across the street from costco in shoreline, where the Starbucks used to be. I highly recommend giving them a try! read more

Their pastry brings the memories of Brazilian bakeries, ham and cheese, meat, cheese bread, so good and nostalgic. The cheesebread sandwiches are so good, I had the Romeo and Juliet (guava jam and cheese) it was delicious. The passion fruit frappe I could have skipped. The customer service is better than other stores. And the mini market needs some love, they don't have a lot of items yet. But I was happy to find sweet polvilho and regular polvilho. I liked that their frozen cheesebread are big size. I'm glad to have a Kitanda at Shoreline area. They have a drive thru which is a good idea if you don't want to go inside the store. read more

We have gone repeatedly to this location, so glad they opened one up in the north end. We always have an easy and positive experience. We previously would drive to the green lake area to get our fix. The fact this location has a drive thru is such a bonus. There's also plenty of parking here. Went today (6/29/23) and was served by a very friendly young man in the drive- thru who seemed to be running the whole restaurant (both in-store and drive- thru ops), yet was still kind and efficient. The cheese bread, açaí bowls (recommend the Tudo, and you can share, it's big!) and coffee drinks (get the Brazilian shake, trust me) are all consistently delicious and in my opinion reasonably priced for what you receive. read more

Food and smoothies were good! Service can be hit or miss. In the past, I've gotten a polite young woman who was managing the store solo the best she could, but the queue was long. I think she said an employee called out. I felt bad for her but she handled the pressure well. This most recent time, a young woman with blond hair didn't greet us or say much of anything to us. It seemed like she didn't want to be there. Food was still good. Honestly I just hope that girl is ok or finds another job that brings her joy. read more

The food is amazing. With that being said I wish I could give them 5 stars. Unfortunately, the staff are unprofessional and maybe even understaffed. I While I was waiting for them to help me(which took aver 5 mins for them to even acknowledge me) they woman with the long dark brown hair wearing pajamas was swearing non stop. She wasn't any better to the drive thru customers. She couldn't remember there orders and would they came to the window and would re ask what they ordered, then the order would be started. Kitanda serves authentic Brazilian flavors and coffee. We have so far tried 3 of their locations and they are all consistent and quality is good. The coconut bun is moist and delicious albeit a bit sweet due to the condensed milk - very different from most breakfast pastries that tend to be dry and dense. The Brazilian cheese bread is worth a try as well. The Brazilian latte is another sweetish but tasty option. Açaí bowl that we ordered on a recent trip had heathy quantities of banana, nuts and berries. Service is usually prompt though their ordering window can be streamlined. Ambiance is standard suburban bakery. At least one location (Kirkland) has Brazilian groceries as well. read more

I went there yesterday morning at 7 am and was sooo surprised to be the only one in the drive through line! I ordered the Brazilian latte, energy blast acai bowl, kitanda bread bites and the spinach, egg and cheese sandwich. Everything was AMAZING!!! To the incredible service (next time I will bring cash to tip these hard working ladies!) to the drink and food. The acai bowl is the BEST I've ever had...much better than the Emerald smoothie place across the street that waters down the acai!! The cheese bread is very authentic, my ex is Brasilian and his mom would make these homeade and these tasted just like them!!! I will definitly be BACK VERY SOON! Second time visiting and they are still severely under staffed. 2 girls are working behind the counter frantically trying to fill orders and there's only 2 customers in the store. I'm assuming they're working on drive through and app orders? I wanted to like this place (it's delicious!) but the constant waiting is getting a bit old. Had to wait 15 minutes just to place an order and even then, it took forever to get our food and drinks. Note to management : staff your business accordingly. Stopped by to try their Brazilian latte and açaí bowl. The best açaí bowl I have had in the NW so far. Their coffee was fantastic as well. I'm excited to go back and try their gluten free bread mini sandwiches. The ambiance was simple.
