In addition to dry cleaning clothes for my family, I have used them for sewing patches on Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts uniforms. I've had them sew patches on my car hobby items. The turn-around is always quick. The prices are reasonable but sometimes higher than what expected. They always let me know the price before starting the job. This is my first dry cleaning experience and I am so thankful I went to crest ! I dropped off some fancy dresses that got ruined and was devastated because they were extremely expensive. It had tons of dirt and paint stains but Crest was able to make my dresses look brand new and removed all the stains. read more

It's understandable seeing all the reviews describe their experiences as superb and excellent...unless you see a quarter (a little over) size of stain. The stain appears to be a black residue from maybe, some of the chemicals used. On the afternoon of my daughter's prom night, she was so excited things were running smoothly...until she put on her prom dress. Then the big problem showed up, the Stain!!! It's right in the center of the skirt and not hidden from any pleats. I took it back to Crest hoping someone will help me take off the stain. The staff said, "This has never happened before!" I dropped off the dress without any stain. I picked it up seeing all the wrinkles and creases all disappeared but an elegant, flowing, satin dusty rose prom dress. I took it home and hung it with the plastic covering, kept it intact and uncovered it that afternoon. So I. other words, the staff didn't know how to help me. I was very frustrated! At that point it was useless to argue. All I can think of was how to remove that freaking stain! So I bought some stain removers from the grocery store. It worked a little bit but the stain was still noticeable. My husband thought of using Dawn liquid dish soap and Simple Green cleaner. The whole ordeal took almost an hour! A very stressful hour! Thank goodness the stain was gone! My daughter's friends were supposed to meet at Pike and Rose, Rockville but has to missed the limo ride to DC Wharf. My husband has to drop her off in the restaurant in the Wharf. What a horrible experience! Crest cleaners, I'm not sure how that stain ended up in the prom dress but I was totally disappointed! I had an initial good impression with your service when I was told to drop off before 11am and pick up at 5pm a "prom dress." Bottom line, our experience was an unnecessary stress and I hope no daughters or moms would be faced with this problem on their prom night. Again, Crest cleaners not sure where, how and what caused the stain in your entire dry cleaning process. Maybe strengthening (or tighter) quality controls, equipment checks and inspections, robust and powerful cleaning procedures, etc. I don't know. I'm not an expert in dry cleaning but I surely hope you make some improvements. read more

Part of the 1 star is my fault, I didn't ask price for shirts before I dropped clothes, but was running late and opted for convenience. They did an ok job of dry cleaning/laundering although I generally expect someone to get the dirt out of the collar before they press it. The biggest shock was the pricing and the absolute cluelessness of the girl who was working the counter. Go to Hershey's and save $1 per shirt and 25% off the price of having a suit cleaned. I did ask the price for a suit whe. I called and was told $7.95, the same price the girl at the counter told me. It seems she meant $7.95 per piece, which is a bit different. The people at Hershey's know what they are doing, are more friendly, and are cheaper to boot. Not at all a good deal for ok service, I won't return. read more

Been using them for 14 years. They clean the clothes in-house--no shipping them around town like some places. Drop off by 11 and you can pick up by 5. If you prefer, they will pick up and deliver to your house. They use more environmentally friendly products. I don't have problems with my clothes disappearing like other places I have tried. read more

Very convenient location and fast turnaround but the prices are exorbitant. They charged $15.90 to dry clean a little summer dress of my 10 year old daughter. Wish my husband had asked what the price would be when he dropped it off, but we would never expect it to be so high! When I questioned it afterwards, I was told that it's the same price regardless of the size of the dress - so a little child's dress costs the same to dry clean as a big, long, dress of a large woman? Always picking up and dropping off on time. They also send out reminders so you won't forget to leave your clothes for pickup, nice service. I lowered the rating as my pants and jeans are not always back creased, even leaving a note every single time and calling them. They need to pay attention to the instructions. This places does not have any principle and does not stand by their word they promised free dry cleaning services for coats for neediest of kids and when the coats were being picked there was a bill of over $200 this was for a charity and they offered their services and once the coats were cleaned they handed the bill over!!! I have only been here twice but both times they have done a pretty good job. The staff were polite and I didn't have any issues when I was picking up my clothes. I noticed that garments other than dress shirts can get pretty expensive so I wouldn't recommend this place as a budget cleaner. Also, my previous place would replace missing buttons if they noticed them but this place didn't, not a big deal but it's a nice feature. read more

Never again, I was quoted price for all the 12 pieces I took over there..went over every item with the counter lady. When I returned the next day to pick up my dry cleaning, the quoted price somehow jumped to $23.85 extra. The lady told me she misquoted on three of the items, and should have charged $28.00 for each of the three items. It took 15min to explain to the manager what happened, and another 15min to get my credit back to my account. Crest Cleaners service has been going down hill, especially the one in Kentlands. I have noticed lately my items have not been fully pressed or cleaned properly. Actually the place near by that charges less than half of what Crest cleaners charge are so much better! Fully cleaned and pressed, Crest cleaners is one place that is not worth the extra bucks, and be careful make sure you read what is on your receipt. Will not be returning again. read more

Horrible. I've brought 3 items into this location with expectations of them helping me with cleansing two of the jackets. Mind you, it wasn't anything big of a stain. Just needed a little spec off. Pointed the stain out to the cleaner (if you will) and she acknowledged them both that she can remove them. So I leave it overnight. I come back the next day and it looked as if they only ironed the jackets and did nothing to remove the stain. So here I am removing my own stain and wasted $40. I have been using this place for close to 2 years. They are overpriced, but the service has always been good and it's located at a convenient area. Today I went to pick up a dress (business casual dress) that was dry cleaned (no stains, nothing major).The charge was $15.90. I mentioned that I thought it was expensive....the girl (very polite) said that at least I can get a discount if I bring $30.00 worth of dry cleaning. Not only do I often bring several items at once, but just a week ago I brought $45.00 worth of dry cleaning and NO ONE has ever mentioned anything about that Discount. To me that is cheating your customer, especially the good ones. Unfortunately I do not appreciate that and will have to find a new place. read more

No matter who I work with, I am greeted in a pleasant way (amazing considering the relentless heat they work in day-in & day-out) and they are always ready to pull my order promptly. Customer service is not dead and my faith in humanity is restored (kind of, because there are so many other douchy businesses out there, I can't say totally restored).So often folks take to the web and to sites like Yelp! to offer a negative review. I'm guilty as charged with a couple of my own reviews, however, in the case of Crest Cleaners I've got nothing but positive. Yesterday, I picked up a rather substantial chunk of my wardrobe from Crest only to get home and find that one of my pairs of pants was missing and that I had another customer's pants. I called and let the staff know and they were very kind and reassuring that they would either find my dress pants or, worse case, buy a new pair (and we're talking $150+ pants from Nordstrom). Went back today to return the other dude's pants and hopefully retrieve mine. Mission accomplished, plus the comped my bill for several other items of clothing that I was picking up for the inconvenience. In the month or so I've been using them, they've done a great job cleaning my garments- no issues. Compare that with one of their competitors in the Kentlands- they managed to return clothes with untreated stains and in two instances ruined clothing within the course of a month (picked up a brand new shirt from laundering with a giant black stain across the front of the shirt and they washed instead of dry cleaned a silk tie, leaving it looking like crap). If you want great customer service and clean clothes, Crest is the way to go. read more
