I've been a patient of Dr. Pham for several years. She is an exceptional optometrist in every category -- knowledge, professionalism and perhaps most importantly, she takes the time to understand her patient's lifestyle, work habits, concerns, etc. and to ensure that her patient is completely comfortable and leaves the office with all of their questions answered. I am a person who asks a lot of questions when it comes to healthcare. I want to know the "why" and not just be told that something is the way it is. I also want to understand preventative care and the future roadmap -- what is causing something, what things can I do differently, what is the worst case / best case / likely scenario, how does my lifestyle affect things, etc. Dr. Pham patiently and comprehensively addresses these questions. Sure, good optometrists should be knowledgeable but that is the baseline requirement in my opinion and better optometrists demonstrate professionalism and good "bedside manner" so to speak. Dr. Pham and her team are always amazing. I always find my perfect pair of glasses at Crest Optometry. The game changer was when Dr. Pham recommended to get prescription sunglasses. I normally wear normal, non prescription sunglasses with my activities and everything seemed "normal". After getting the prescription sunglasses, I kid you not, a game changer! Their optometrist is fine; their sales and customer service did me wrong recently. I purchased a pair of titanium frame lenses which actually were too long for my ears, and cut into the top of my ear. Unfortunately, since it's titanium, they could not actually adjust the frame. They would not refund the pair of glasses, which was $500 after insurance. They basically said "we didn't do much to ensure the frame fits your face, and we don't have any solution; you're SOL". Later, because of the misfit of the earpiece, the glasses would slide down on my nose. I also lost a nosepiece at one point, and they asked for $10 to repair/replace the nose piece. Although they said "this time it's a courtesy service and we'll do it for free"...come on, who nickels and dimes a $500 pair of faulty glasses for a $1 nosepiece? read more

I first went here in 2018 and the eye exam, staff, were courteous and professional. I went again since i happened to be in the area in 2024 and the level of expertise hasn't changed but I'm giving somewhat of a negative review because you can't call a patient the night before and say the glasses are in and to come in and try them on and then never bother to check the box and see if the glasses are really in the case or not. If I could give a HUNDRED stars I would. For context - I'm autistic and ADHD. I'm also extremely sensitive to eye drops or anything touching my eye and have been terrified to go to the optometrist since moving to Cali because I wasn't sure if a new eye doctor would be gentle and kind, and I was also TERRIFIED of dilation. Man, I'm so so so glad I found Crest. From reception, to pretest, to the exam, everyone is just so kind, so thorough, and so, SO accommodating. Upon entering, the friendly receptionist ladies Jessica and Christina, gave me a detailed form to fill out. It's all about your eye health history, but also about general health things if you are willing to disclose them. I mentioned my Autism + ADHD and sensitive dry eyes. I was a little nervous to disclose, but I am so so glad I did. When I went into the pretest room Lucas, the kind man conducting the pretests, was so thorough in clearly explaining what was going to happen before it did, and also warning me of any noises the machines were going to make. It made me feel so comfortable and so seen. He also noted my negative reaction to previous dilations and instead offered a retinal photograph. It's a camera that takes a picture inside your eye! No dilation required and doesn't hurt a bit! And after that was exam time and oh my goodness. Dr. Tina Chang is an optometrist angel. She let me know that if I needed someone in the room with me or if I ever needed a break, just let her know. She also let me keep my stim toy and even said it was cool!! She also was very thorough in explaining what she was going to do before she did it and also warned of any noises or feelings. Dr. Chang was so careful and detailed too. She checked her work several times to make sure I got the right prescription, and walked me through how she got it and what all the numbers meant. After that, she gave me some non-eyedrop solutions for my dry eyes. At the very end - she asked if I'd be willing to try a drop of artificial tears to see if it helped. She promised me she would put them in, would be very gentle, and that it would feel about like the eye pressure test we already did. It was fully my choice, she would have totally understood if I said no. But I trusted her and I was feeling brave so I said yes. And she really did it! She put the eyedrop in so gently I barely felt it. It was like magic! It stung a little at first, but my eyes adapted and for the first time in a while they didn't feel dry!!! The office also has a neat selection of glasses. But guess what? If you own a pair of frames you already really like - you can also just turn those in and they will put new lenses in for you. So that's what I did. Just - best optometry experience ever. Dr. Chang and everyone at Crest - thank you so much for taking care of me. When my brother picked me up from my appointment and I told him all about it - he immediately signed up as a new patient too. We will be Crest patients for life. Again from the bottom of my heart - thank you so much. At Crest it truly feels like we're more than patients. We are family. Small edit to add - At the time of prior postings, I did not have Jessica, Christina and Lucas' names but wanted to make sure they got a proper shoutout. I used to be a customer here in 2014 and decided to try them out again. Things have changed, and sadly we make choices to no longer proceed giving an establishment your business, not due to the actual Optometrist (Dr. Pham, who is fantastic), but her front office staff. Jessica, the office worker here, has zero customer service skills. She called, saying they could not find my insurance. I asked her to call my insurance verification line that my insurance card provides; Nope, she says she cannot make that call. Then a few minutes later, she realized that if she put my full name under the insurance verification portal, my insurance would be confirmed. I booked this appt 3 weeks ago; not sure why they are only verifying now, 24 hrs before the appt, to ensure fewer hiccups--zero proactive, zero customer service. The staff and doctors are professional, friendly and helpful I Was going to Blossom Valley eye care then they merged the two together. At first I was hesitant to continue going , but I am glad that I did because I feel I get great service and help here. If I had to complain about anything at all, it would be that I hate I have to have an appt to get my glasses adjusted every time they are loose or something which happens a lot because I wear my glasses almost everyday. I live far away so it's hard to pinpoint when I am in the area to make an appt which really sucks. I wish they would change that. Tucked behind a slew of restaurants like Chipotle, Cafe Rosalena's, and Sushi Infinity is a small optometry known for their relationships with their patients. Crest has been in existence for as long as I cannot see. It's good to see that they have grown it into the small business that it is with a lot of additional help with the amount of patients/clients that come through. My recent yearly checkup showed a almost a line out the door with patients despite having appointments. The best part, everyone was happy to be there and wait their turn, a testament to how well you are treated here oppose to a "shopping mall" optometry practice. Can't believe it's been over 6 years since we've been visiting Dr. Pham for our eye examinations and all our optometric needs. I don't think I've stuck with any doctor for that long. She's a keeper!!! Over the past 6 years, she's been conscientiously monitoring all the changes in my vision. She's ridiculously detail oriented and, as any great doctor would, she carefully explains everything going on with my eyes, in layman terms, of course, to help me understand all the changes happening to my eyes and what I can do to take care of my eyes better as I get older. I can be one of those annoying patients that ask hella questions, but Dr. Pham confidently and professionally answers them all patiently and honestly with a big smile on her face and never makes me feel stupid. My kids also love to visit Dr. Pham!!! She speaks to them in a very calm voice and is very gentle with them during their examinations. Any anxiety or stress the kids might feel before their examinations go away immediately after Dr. Pham warmly greets them for the exam. After each visit, she also hooks the kids up with stickers and a toy from the treasure chest (that's what the kids call it) at the end of each visit. Crest Optometry recently expanded their offices into a larger space in the same complex to make us feel more comfortable and relaxed when we visit. They display an evergrowing collection of designer sunglasses and beautiful eyeglasses and provide so many different options to meet and satisfy my budget and needs. They are always stocked with the latest and greatest eyewear inventory and if something is unavailable, they can work with you and try to special order it for you. The staff is wonderful. My family is always greeted with friendly smiles and everybody is super quick to help. The scheduling is also super flexible. My dog chewed up my glasses pretty badly one time, and they were able to book an appointment the next day to help address that issue. Excellent customer service and A+ staff! read more

My review is primarily for the support and office staff! I don't have any major eye problems or worsening eyesight and I just go in annually for my yearly checkup. I usually only see the actual doctor/optometrist for about 15 minutes. Also, since Dr. Pham has a life outside of work, I usually only get whoever the current rotating optometrist is and not her. If you want to see Dr. Pham, you have to specifically request for an appointment with her. Prior to seeing the optometrist, you go into a room where you do all these pre-tests on 3-4 machines. I can't tell you what each of them does, but this has definitely been more thorough than my previous optometrists in the past. With every visit, I'm always welcomed and supported by the staff. They're knowledgeable about the frames and many different options for your lens. I feel most of the staff actually wears glasses and can understand the different needs and wants of a glass wear-er. At first glance, it doesn't seem like there are many frame options, but with the choice of brands they showcase, I'm always able to find a pair I like. Additionally, each frame comes in more colors that they can order for you as well. I always have an easy and fun experience here! read more

Zero star for this place if that options is available. I live near by and wanting to support the local businesses. Today I stopped by to see their frames selections as I need to get a pair of prescriptions glasses very soon. After walked in I was asked by the lady at the front desk if I have an appointment. I said no because I was just looking for frames so I didn't think it required an appointment. At the time there was only one customer that was waiting for her appointment. The lady then asked for my name and I gave it to her. She entered my name into her computer and then asking for my birthdate. Why ??? Do I need to give out my personal information in order to see their glasses selections??? I have never been asked any of these questions by any offices to see their frames. In fact, I was at Fred Slater optometrist in Campbell yesterday and had no issues at all. Their optician even helped me finding the right frames for my face. I will NEVER comeback to this office again and five stars for Fred Slater's optometrist for their exceptional services. read more

Tried this optometry because of its convenient location. Housed in an unassuming building, the interior has a pretty modern chic design complemented by high tech equipment and use of cloud services. It had a friendly atmosphere and both the tech & Dr Pham provided a pleasant experience for my annual eye exam. Dr. Pham was super knowledgable in telling us all of our options, and what was best for my daughter (it was her appointment).
