Whoever came up with this business is an absolute genius! I had two glasses that I had broken the frame and thought that was it. I really liked them and one was a very expensive frame. While at my optometrist I was recommended Vision Eyeglass Repair at 1144 S Winchester Blvd, Ste D, San Jose, CA 95128 Upon arrival, I found parking to be a bit challenging as this is a house. There is good ADA parking on the driveway. All business is done through a modified front wood door with an access window cut into it. The grounds are kept very clean and the business appears to be run by an older man and woman. I had a short wait, as there were two customers ahead of me. I learned that he tries to repair while you wait. The lady assured me he would be with me soon. Five minutes later I met the gentleman and showed him my broken glasses. He told me they could be repaired but involved repairing the hinges and other items. He gave me a price quote-which I felt was very fair considering the damage. I paid up front (they do take credit cards) and I told him he could have them for a few days. I came back a few days later and the glasses looked great. The lenses were clean, nothing was loose, the repairs looked great! I was so happy-that's why im doing this review. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this business! read more

My eye glasses were badly bent from sleeping on it accidentally. Took it to a LensCrafters and they wouldn't touch it given how bad it was. Decided to bring it here for a try. The gentleman was clear explaining what he could fix and what the risk is. My frame is titanium. He also mentioned that if it's broken during the process, titanium can't be welded. He won't charge if it's broken which is fair. I appreciate his honesty. He was very patience answering all my questions. It only took him about 10 mins and he did his magic to fix my glasses back to its original shape, yay! Highly recommend this place for any eye glasses repair. Eyewear repair services are fairly priced. The honest owner clearly states explains possible outcomes and fees. This is done within a few minutes. Then you are asked to pay up front. While someone was repairing my glasses, others (this place is popular!) were being helped. Fortunately, my glasses were repaired without complications, but even if it had been a more involved process, Vision's fees are still very reasonable. Getting a new pair of frames couldn't compare to the excellent and timely work done by this business. May these awesome professionals never retire! My arm broke off the eyeglass frame after someone sat on my glasses and nobody knows how to fix it. I went to all the optical places at Valley Fair Mall and one guy finally referred me here. They are located in what looks like a small house in a residential neighborhood. They could fix the metal hinge but it would take a few days. The husband's glasses frame was separating and we have moved far from where we obtained them. We needed a repair and I turned to yelp for options. We drove over without calling. At first, we were confused. There was just a door with a sign telling us to leave the glasses and they would call us. That felt odd, but they answered our knock. The gentleman told us he could fix it for $40 and it would be ready after 3pm the next day. While we didn't like leaving them (it left him with only prescription sunglasses) they needed to be fixed. We paid up front and left. Next day, they were fixed. It looks like a soldering job and I think it will hold. We are pleased with the fix and the overall timeliness of the job. This has become my go-to recommendation for preparing eyeglasses. This is a no-frills operation. You walk up to a door and can drop off your glasses with a repair slip or someone may be there to greet you. The owner of this place is very friendly and knows what he's doing. If the repair is easy, he can usually complete the repair the same day if he has the parts. Pricing has been fair the two times I've used him: $70 for a frame repair that required a replacement part and $10 for fixing a lens that had popped out (different set of glasses than the first time) that was too complicated for me to do myself. A miracle worker! My rare Matsuda sunglasses got crushed from my car door and I thought I had lost my favorite pair of sunglasses. For some reason I decided to keep the mangled pair of glasses and searched for a repair shop. I stumbled upon Vision Eyeglass Repair read the reviews and decided to give them a try. When I arrived, the place was a home that was doing business on a residential area. I was not impressed and went up to the door and was greeted by a gentleman at the door. I showed him my glasses and he said $30 and come back tomorrow after 3pm. BTW, this place only does cash so bring $$$ if you go to this place. I only had twenty and he told me to bring the rest when I come back for pick up. I left the place thinking to myself that it will be a hack job for $30. I was referred here by my glasses shop, because I was told they do a really good job adding nose pads on frame glasses. It took a week for them to put the nose pads on my glasses. They were super friendly and very professional. Parking is like maybe 2-3 spots. They did called me letting me know that my glasses were ready to be picked up so I really like that communication value. As for pricing, I think is very reasonable.
