Very disappointed in our experience getting carpet through Home Depot/Crew2. When our carpet was installed, the installers did a very poor job. The carpet in our basement (which was a square pattern) was installed completely crooked, not even close to square on a single wall in the room. They also didn't install the carpet across the threshold going into our laundry room door, leaving a 2+ inch gap of the cement floor showing right when you come down the stairs. After complaining to Home Depot, I spent over a month, endless phone calls, and multiple unpaid days off work trying to get this fixed. On top of that, after an inspector came and reviewed the carpet to put in a claim, we found out that Crew2 was trying to write off the carpet due to a "carpet mill defect", not the poor installation that happened, which ended up adding additional time in this process. When our re-install was finally scheduled, they cancelled the morning of. After calling and telling them my complaints about this whole mess of a process, my wasted time, and money, I was offered $100 to fix paint from the scratches during install. Don't waste your time & sanity getting carpet through Crew2. No one is there to lead the project & the customer service staff is horrible as they give all excuses & no solutions. read more

We are so impressed with the quality of work from Crew2! The crew showed up on time to lay our carpet, were courteous and polite, finished in a reasonable amount of time, and cleaned up after themselves! We will definitely be referring them to others and using them again ourselves! read more

Hired as our carpet installers through Home Depot. They were overbooked during a big special and called to change our date, and offered us a $100 gift card to Home Depot. I accepted the change, as I could change our scheduled day off to be home with the installers. The installers were prompt, efficient and professional. They installers did a great job. ONLY problem is I never received my gift card that I was promised, and lying to customers to get them to change a date is pretty ridiculous... read more

Hired Home Depot for carpet installation, they contracted Crew 2 in Milwaukee to do the job. Horrible installation: burned carpet, gravel left under carpet, sharp racks all along the perimeter, carpet not tracked down under step, bad seam. They also damaged our property chipping our porcelain tile and shredded our trap door. Not much better after the reinstallation and property still damaged. Amber, the manager is very rude, down playing the issues and only offering $200 for tile damage. I paid over $100 for installation costs. If this is not settled soon I will pursue litigation. read more

If you like horrible communication, rude customer service reps, and lazy workers this is the company for you! We recently hired Crew2 to install floors in our entire house (carpet, vinyl, linoleum) and the experience was truly awful 1) They never call you to arrange a time they are arriving for installations. They always claim "someone will call 24 hrs before the install" and SURPRISE no one calls. So you must pursue this information from their customer service reps, who are always incredibly rude and are unable to answer the most basic of questions. 2) When the installers FINALLY arrive, they are NEVER prepared for the job. What was the point of having someone come out to measure and assess the current floors if this information is not communicated to the install crew? "We can't complete the job, we didn't know you had hardwoods on the floor already" WHY DIDNT YOU KNOW? Your measurement guy SPECIFICALLY took this info down, and we called ahead to make sure it was known - somehow the info never gets to the right people... 3) The install crews were always EAGER to leave the job early without completing the job - they left without reinstalling the baseboards in our entire basement. The crew removed the baseboards for the job, and then never put them back.. They are still sitting in our basement... 4) The communication between Home Depot and Crew 2 was HORRIBLE. The right hand never knew that the left hand was doing - and we were put in the middle to try and piece together this communication OURSELVES. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I am so disappointed with my experience with Crew 2 and Home Depot. I just spoke with James at Home Depot's Corporate Office so hopefully I can get to the bottom of this...... Yesterday I was to have carpet installed at one of my rental properties. I was told I would get a call the day before with a time frame. I never received a call so I called them the morning of the install. I was told the reason I didn't receive a call was because their phone lines were down....hmm, strange but ok. I asked for the installers to call me when they were on their way so I could let them in. I provided two phone numbers. I was told, "they will for sure call, they always do". NO CALL. I called again after the install time had passed. I was told that they didn't know why the install didn't happen and the office will have to send an email because their phone lines have been down since yesterday (second time I was told this). After about another hour my new tenant, who is furious because she had her movers scheduled to come the next day, said she wanted the number so she could see if she could get answers. I provided her the number. Shortly thereafter she calls back to inform me they told her the reason why the install didn't happen is becuase the installers showed but no one was there. OF COURSE NO ONE WAS THERE,.... NO CALL. Oh, and also, said installers don't have access to secondary numbers so that's why they didn't call my cell phone. So, interesting that the tenant-to-be was given an explanation but I still hadn't heard a word from anyone. I then called again....left another message....no call back. The next morning I called again, this time I finally spoke to the person in charge of this whole situation. Her name is Tiffany at Crew 2 for the Madison, WI area. She said the reason I didn't get call was because she went home sick (I thought the phone lines were down). Then proceeded to tell me that they did repeatedly call my first, second, and third number. Third number? I don't have a third number. She read it off to me and it's a number that I never heard of in my life. I rechecked my call log on my cell phone....not one call. Crew2, if your reading this I would be happy to provide call records from my cell carrier, and I thought installers only had access to primary numbers? and I thought their phone lines were down? Or was it the person was sick? How many different stories now? The person from the call center center told me my cell number wasn't entered into their system until last night. Even she gave me a "hmmm" Bottom line...crew 2 is trying to convince me this is my fault. Jessica at Home Depot Madison Wi West said as a courtesy they are willing to waive the trip charge from the missed appointment. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? From the time they walked through the door I knew that the crew that came to install my carpet was going to do a great job. They arrived on time, and they were careful in my home. I was certain to make sure their work area was clear and clean. Immediately after starting, Jose called me up to ask me some preference questions about my installation. He gave me some suggestions for how I could adjust my edge to ensure he could make a nice clean transition at the top of my stairwell, and gave me a few minutes to make the change before installing. The result was a phenomenal carpet installation that I could not find a single thing to complain about. The installation tools left the normal marks on the baseboard, but I fully expected this, and had a small roller ready to do the touch up. They were extremely careful with my walls, and I found no damage to my home. They cleaned everything up, I signed some papers, and they were on their way. I was initially very concerned about the mish-mash of contractors I was warned Big Box stores tend to use, but I could not be happier with my installation experience. read more

I would give 0 stars but it won't let me. Don't get me wrong the cabinet crew that came was great!! But their flooring crew just doesn't want to do their jobs! Do not go to home depot for floors until they get another company. We were supposed to be getting flooring yesterday. The crew came and saw "issues" and left! We get a call from home depot about it. Finally after many phone calls they said a door needed trimmed and then they would come and do it. So we trimmed the door. Now today they say that because the floor goes out like 2 inches into the garage and there is no threshold that the floor will get too cold and crack it would be under warranty and they would have to come fix it! My garage is heated and has to stay heated in the winter because my bedroom is above it. So it stays at 65 degrees during the winter. It will not get cold enough to crack! We made multiple calls to them and Home Depot, we were blatantly lied to by 2 people at Crew2, one supposedly was a manger and Home Depot made mediocre attempts to help us. The WORST company I've yet dealt with, and this is after renovating 2 homes and using many different contractors. Communication is bad, misleading and confusing , and led me to spend over $7,000 that I didn't have to; on permits for electric and plumbing that Crew2 basically made me take out, leading to months and months of delays. My own building department in my town said I didn't need them. But, Crew2 insists on it, and had Home Depot let me know that I would have used my own contractors. I was stupid to use Home Depot for kitchen cabinets. The Thomasville shaker style I ordered is literally in every store. After I spent nearly $9k on a small kitchen, I found the exact ones that matched these for HALF the price and better quality...all solid wood, and heavier than Thomasville. Here's the thing....Home Depot took 6 weeks to get my order in; they came in wrong, and took another 4 weeks to get the right ones. Still have problems and I ordered in January and it's now November! The other companies' cabinets came in 3 DAYS...so, so sorry I ever used Home Depot. read more

My experience was with the Crew2 group in Columbus, Ohio. Our water heater went out right when the weather was below zero. We had just bought the house in May and were working with a year warranty while we tried to get our heater replaced. We had originally called out the Water Works plumbers, who were awful. They came to our house four hours late (and didn't even give us a phone call), and told us that it would take over a week for them to install the heater before they quoted us a price of over a thousand dollars for a new water tank. We then had to contact the home warranty company to try to figure out how they were going to handle the situation. They then booked an appointment with Crew2 who came out the next day (on time unlike the Water Works) and brought a new water heater with them. The two guys that came out were wonderful! They were very nice, informative, and easy to talk with which made the experience much less nerve racking. They also had the water heater installed in around 48 minutes (Which was great considering the Water Works told me it would take three to four hours). Crew2 then showed me how to care for the machine and the regular basics before they turned it on and asked me to go around to each sink and let the water run to get any air out of the fixtures. When I was going around the house to let air out of the showers and everything Crew2 noticed that carbon monoxide was coming from the water tank vent and turned off the gas immediately and informed me that I might have a blockage in my vent system. I explained that I had smelt a weird gas smell from the basement the night the water tank went out and that I had told the Water Works, but they brushed me off and told me it was no problem. Crew2 was shocked to hear that the Water Works had not tried to figure out what I was smelling and shut the tank off, but they then recommended that I call a chimney sweep (who came out and determined that there was indeed a blockage in the vent). Honestly, the Crew2 team who helped me did a great job, I couldn't have asked for better plumbers! To recap: Same day service and installation, professional service, honest plumbers, who seriously care about the people they are helping. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who is looking for plumbers! read more

Home Depot hires Crew 2 to subcontract out installation. I was lucky to get an amazing crew from Manna Construction 1. The entire team was from Guatemala, and the crew leader, Ever, spoke excellent English. It was a huge full house (3,000 sq. feet) job and we had to move all of our furniture into the hallway, entry, bathroom and kitchen area, therefore the pathways were narrow and challenging to get through. Not only did they do a GREAT job installing the carpet, each and every one of the crew members were super kind and personable too! They worked really hard for hours and left the place tidy. My only regret is that I didn't get Ever's phone number so that I could hire them again someday. If you're going to install new carpet, ask for Manna Construction and the crew from Guatemala, and you won't be disappointed. read more

We had two sliding patio doors installed by Crew2 mid November and have nothing but good things to say. Home Depot though...There needs to be work done on their end. Bought the doors and was informed that because they we custom doors, it would take 6-7 weeks before they were ready and then we would get a call from Crew2 to set up installation date usually following week. Bought the doors on 8/14. Got a voicemail on 9/18 (5 weeks later) from Home Depot saying the doors would be ready 10/1 (approx. 7 weeks). October 1st came and went and nothing from Home Depot saying the doors were actually ready. Called Home Depot week of 10/6 and was informed doors were ready and that someone from Crew2 would call me that day. No call. I called Home Depot following day and they gave me Crew2's number and I called them. Talking to Crew2 they said the earliest they could someone out would be week of 11/24, week of Thanksgiving. Really? Called Home Depot and said this was unacceptable. Bought the doors on 8/14! They couldn't do much, but put me on a list that if anyone cancelled before my install date, they would call me. Not blaming Crew2 for this. Home Depot needs to better set expectations. If, from the get go, I was told that it could be 3 months from the time I purchased to the install, I could have made the decision to go ahead with the deal or not. I have a feeling Home Depot knows exactly how long it could have taken abd they obviously didn't want to lose the business. Dishonest! Ended up getting the doors installed on 11/12, so a little earlier than what Crew2 originally told me. That was cool. 11/12 arrived and Crew2 showed up when they were supposed. Two doors is a two man job normally (per Crew2), but one guy showed up. Partner was out sick. I am thinking great they are going to be here all day. Guys finished in about 4 hours. Cleaned up afterwards, gave me some paperwork and such. Nothing but professional and good guy. read more

Stay away from this company!!! I started renovations on my sons room 1 year ago and upon doing this found vermiculite and had to have it all removed then had to have all of our electrical replaced and updated in order to re insulate. We redid all drywall, painted and I myself who am a paint contractor installed all new base molding in this room, finally after a year and many expensive bumps in the road we were ready to have the carpet installed and move my son into the room. At first glance everything looked in order but then I noticed numerous seams in the corner butt joints of the trim were completely separated and cracked from them banging them with their tools. there were nail pops all over the room from them also using force and little care on the trim. the kicker was when I noticed a spot that did not look right and when i bent down to take a closer look I saw it was a white piece of tape. When I pulled the tape back there was a huge piece of the new wood trim missing and they had tried covering it up with a white piece of tape! This company seems to think its ok to give me a $100 gift card to home depot to make this right. the trim in my sons room is destroyed and I will spend hours in there fixing it on top of materials I'll have to use to repair. I'll leave it to the reader to decide if this is right but when I make a mistake in someones home, which does happen, I first bring it to their attention and then I do what needs to be done to fix it and make it right. $100 gift card is a slap in the face if you ask me compared to what needs to be done now to fix it. If you are looking for a contractor who backs shotty craftsmanship and dishonesty with their customers definitely call Home Depot on Wolf Run in Mukwonago WI for your carpet install, they will take care of you. We purchased carpet for our house from Home Depot (HD). HD uses Crew2 for their installs, which is something we learned after the fact. After the carpet was ordered and in the HD warehouse I was contacted by an associate of Crew2 to schedule the install. There were multiple dates available. I pushed it out to accommodate work schedules etc. We scheduled for Monday, May 23, 2016 for the date of the install. On Friday, May 20, 2016, I received confirmation of the installers coming on Monday morning between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. We spent the weekend emptying our rooms of all furniture since everything had to be removed. We have a small one floor house. We purchased carpet for the Master bed room, living area and hallway. The only other rooms in the house are the kitchen bathrooms and spare bedrooms. By Sunday night, we had moved everything. Monday a.m., 15 minutes prior to 8 a.m. Crew2 called and said that our installer was sick. They indicated that they would see about finding someone else right away. I was also told that a manager would call me back in 10 minutes when he arrived since he was not yet a work. Two hours later, no call from Crew2, I called them. I spoke to an associate who indicated that maybe on Friday they could do the install. I asked for speak to a manger, I was told one would call me back. I did get a call back. I was told that they have no one to install my carpet. I was told that they are scheduling out 3 to 4 weeks now but that they did have an opening on Friday, May 27th. I said that was a problem because we have an empty house with no where to even sleep and that we did could not take that day off of work. They let me know that it would be after June 13, 2016 then if I did not take that day. Understand that we had purchased for carpet, paid for the installation, scheduled it weeks before, moved all of our furniture, have no bed to sleep in, took a day off of work etc. I was told when I tried to explain my situation that I need to understand that it is not their fault someone called in sick and I need to understand that it is their busy season. What they fail to understand is that I could have purchased my carpet elsewhere, that I purchased my Carpet and paid for an install and made the appropriate plans for that for May 23rd, weeks in advance. It is a bad situation to be held in limbo after we paid for both the carpet and the service until such time that is now convenient for them. read more

I have, unfortunately, had several experiences with Crew2 related to some doors that we ordered through Home Depot. The first time that someone from their crew came to my house to measure the doors for the installation, they measured only the front door, but not the back as we had requested. The measurements were also incomplete and that made it impossible for us to order our doors. We did not find any of this out, however, until after we had spent over an hour at Home Depot choosing the doors that we wanted to order. I then had to start over and have Crew2 come back to the house to take more measurements. It seems to take a looong time for them to get measurements submitted and for them to call and actually schedule the installation. Both times I was told that I would be called within a certain timeframe, and I did not receive a call. When I called them, however, they insisted that they had left me a message on a specific date. This seems unlikely as I only have a cell phone, and I am the only one who uses it and can view the call log. In short, they provide very slow, unreliable and unprofessional service for which there seems to be absolutely no accountability. read more

It's hilarious that the Crew2 managers would take the time to respond to the Yelp reviews. They obviously have done absolutely nothing to rectify their poor customers service or policies, because we had the exact same issues that so many previous reviewers complained of. Let's see, where to start? They removed our carpet to find our subfloor apparently not level enough and "soaking wet" in one spot, and they said it would be about $2000 to fix. We got a second and third opinion from flooring contractors who said the subfloor was fine and not wet at all. Needless to say, we fired Crew2 from that installation. Now for the carpet install: first of all, of you want to even try to confirm when your install is scheduled for, forget it. I called 3 times, each time the "customer service" person said that would have someone call me back. They never called back!! Anyway, they call you the day before your appt to confirm (super helpful). When they did show up, they only had a part of what we ordered!! So they were able to do only one room! Our phone calls to complain/schedule the rest of the installation went unreturned for days, then it took another couple weeks to figure out where the rest of the carpet was. At that point we were able to schedule the rest of the install for about a month and a half later. Haha! I mean, good thing we weren't on a deadline or anything. To sum up, do not hire Home Depot/Crew 2 to do work on your house unless you want a huge pain in the neck!! These guys suck at customer service!! Awful. Terribly, horribly awful. Our first half of our carpet installation was incredibly unprofessional. One guy showed up and said everyone else was running late. They didn't have the type of thresholds we had previously agreed upon, nor all the proper supplies to install the carpet, so my husband drove that first guy to Home Depot to buy more supplies. Then his girlfriend picked him up and we were left waiting for the rest of the crew to show up. They Finally did, hours later and didn't finish until 10 pm! (It's only about 500 sq feet of carpet in 2 different rooms) The next day, we noticed our front storm door was torn off of our house and they left a screen off our window with the window slightly open, so we had a ton of bugs. When we called to complain, we never got any resolution. They kept redirecting it to someone else or saying they would call back-- we got nothing, so we finally gave up and bought new doors. A couple weeks later the second half of our installation seemed to go better, but as time went on we noticed the seam starting to show worse and worse. We called to have it repaired and the guy didn't give much of an explanation- just said he couldn't fix it. About a week later we got a call saying they would replace all of our carpet in that level in order to fix the seam. Today is the day and they gave us a 10-1 timeframe. I just got a call saying they will be here between 1 and 2. Late again, and I'm fed up. I will NEVER again buy anything from Home Depot that needs to be installed by crew 2. We should have known better than going with a big store versus a local company. Lesson learned. read more

I will never buy carpet from Home Depot again because of this company. I have had them back several times to fix problems with the installation. This time the seam in my family room opened up. There was a wet spot (one of my animals peed apparently) and the installer said that because of that I would have to pay to have the problem fixed. Home depot called and said that the repair would be 300.00 dollars. Ridiculous! The first time they came back, the carpet on my stairs was frayed. The second time I was vacuuming the stairs and the carpet on a stair had been glued together pieces and came apart just from vacuuming! I asked home depot to come out and see it because the guy that came to fix the frayed carpet said it was my fault and that the cat must have done it. I wanted home depot to see the shoddy workmanship of the installer.. Home depot agreed and I got all new carpet on my stairs. If a pet having an accident on carpet causes the seam to come apart, then anyone with pets is in big trouble. I have had carpet installed in the same room by another company previously and through 5 kids, several pets and many guests, this issue never happened anywhere in my house. The installer also told me that getting the carpets cleaned can cause that too. I had my old carpet cleaned many, many, many times without a SINGLE issue. While home depot has been nothing but great to me, I wouldn't get carpet from them even if it was much less expensive. Between the time off work and the blame on me for all of the problems by Crew2, I have never been so frustrated with a purchase. Had Crew 2 remodel a bathroom. Had a combination bathroom fan/heater/light installed, and the heating component had to be replaced 2 times during the 5 year warranty, the last time in Dec15. At that time I asked for them to instead find a comparable unit that would last longer - they replied by saying they were replacing the heat component with one that had been re-designed and would last -- and therefore refused to order a new different unit. Of course the new heater didn't - so 3 month later I was again on the phone to them to get the Heater replaced. At this point, it is after the 5 year warranty but because the most recent one didnt even last 3 months, he said he would order and install the heater one more time. The part got ordered and is here, but after a month of repeated calls to them, they have yet to call back to schedule an appointment. read more

They are HomeDepot's recommended carpet installers. We hired them for the whole house (4000 square feet) but would NOT recommend them AT ALL. They rescheduled us three times. Did not complete the job in one day as promised. It will take three days over a two week period for installation. Installers showed up late. Extremely poor customer service. Production manager, Cody, said that he never committed to the time windows (a lie), and blamed the routing manager for installers showing up late. DO NOT HIRE THEM! read more

They did great job. They were here even earlier than said. They spent 10 hours installing over 1000ft of carpeting which normally would take 2 days for most crews. We had all carpeting removed and furniture removed prior to their arrival. The 2 man crew with teenage son to assist in clean up very pleasant and good quality workmanship including our stairway. We had Crew2 install a carpet through Home Depot a few days ago and I don't have a lot of good things to say about this experience but I'll start with the best parts anyway. I don't have a lot of issues with the way the carpet looks. In fact they did a halfway decent job laying the carpet other than the many trim dings paint scraps and wall scuffs as well as large glue spots on a piece of oak trim clearly visible from the other side of the room. Those things apparently come with the territory so we were prepared to find some minor damage. It would have been nice to see the glue spots cleaned up before they dried on the oak trim though. We spent a fair amount of time tracking down dozens of little black nails left all over the house and some actually laying on the carpet. I can't imagine why these nails were found in such odd places but they were. There was all sorts of paper and and other various bits of trash laying around on the carpet and in the kitchen. A simple walk through at the end of the job to police up their trash would have been nice. Two doors were left off their hinges and one looked as though they had simply ripped it from the door jam. The real problem I had was the fact that they left all the carpet remnants for us to clean up. We called to find out why and they told us the person we left the keys with to let them in the house told them to leave the remnants. However the guy who answered the phone said they would send someone by to pick them up the next day. When no one arrived to pick up the remnants we called to find out if there had been some sort of problem and the same guy told us that his supervisor had told him they would not pick up the remnants and that it was our problem to deal with. Even if the guy we gave the keys to told them to leave the remnants they did agree to pick them up after that and then decided not to follow through. I called back and spoke with a very rude and belligerent woman named Jennifer who said under no circumstance would they finish the job and remove their construction debris and that I would have to deal with it myself and then she hung up on me. I called back multiple times and no one would answer the phone. I called the local Home Depot who agreed to pick up the remnants right away and were very apologetic for the terrible behavior of the people at Crew2. Judging from all the comments here customer service is a bit lacking at Crew2 and I can confirm that. I love shopping at Home Depot but I could not recommend having carpet installed by them if Crew2 is the sub contractor doing the work. read more

First off, people need to realize that Crew2 is the company that Home Depot mainly uses to install items such as doors, flooring, windows, etc. Long story short, we had over $40,000 done worth of work to a foreclosed house we bought which included a complete bathroom redo gutted down to the studs, wood flooring, a basement that had to be sheetrocked because of mold, new concrete pad in the front yard, gutters, etc. etc. Lots and lots of different things which included all trades. Picking Crew2 as the contractor was a terrible terrible mistake for our project. Take my advice - run as far away as these people as you can. How this company functions is that they get their work from Home Depot and then they sub contract that work out to other outfits. These outfits (sub contractors) cannot find work on their own because their work is so shoddy so they sign as subcontractors with Crew2 to get work because there's always someone that needs installation of something at Home Depot. We had a ton of sheetrock work done and I had to re-do all the taping/mudding because the guy that was hired to do it had no clue what he was doing. You could see all the seems and most of the corners were nowhere near a 90 degree angle. All the mud over the sheetrock screws popped and formed bubbles. Then, they decided to sand the sheetrock after they had painted - makes no sense but thats what they did. On top of that, the employees decided that they were going to touch all the walls that were fine and spread dust prints all over the price. Really disrespectful employees. The plumber was a joke. We demanded that Crew2 bring in a second plumber because the first plumber was pathetic. The first plumber claimed that he hooked up our garbage disposal until we actually used it and realized the guy didnt hook up the disposal to the actual drain - water went everywhere. The first plumber claimed he hooked up our dishwasher only to find our the hose where the water drains out of the dishwasher into the plumbing was never hooked up - thank god I noticed that before we ran the dishwasher. We also had to point out that the screws that are used to affix the dishwasher to the countertop were lost - another thing I had to fix. In the basement, the sink that rested onto the vanity was not glued or caulked to the vanity even though it was supposed to be just by plain common sense. A water purification system that was installed was installed incorrectly and burst because the plumber didnt read the directions and assumed that "15 years of being a plumber" was good enough to install it even though he readily admitted he had never seen or installed the kind of water purification system that needed to be installed. The guy who did the wood flooring and the guy who tiled our basement bathroom were probably the only two bright spots in this whole outfit. I have no complaints about those subcontractors. The gutter people that came out installed the cheapest kind of gutters you could imagine but charged a premium price. The electrician was a hack who decided to take as many shortcuts as possible drilling holes in the wall when it could have been easily avoided if they would have been willing to work a little bit. I swear to God - when these people brought in our appliances and anything else they needed to get the job done into our house - they made it a point to hit, scratch, dent, and ding up everything they could. There were times where I had to figure out how they hit something while carrying stuff as light as a sink faucet by they did. Absolute disrespect for a customer's property. Crew2 talks a BIG game to get you to sign a contract. After you sign, they will pretty much disappear and leave you wondering what just happened. There was maybe ONE person that was competent at Crew2 while the rest of them were a bunch of hacks. My project should have took them one month max (this was actually justified by other contractors I talked to afterwards that backed me up on that assertion). My house was completely empty and in shambles because it was a foreclosed house. It was free reign! It ended up taking them 3 months and that was with my wife and I micro-managing them with a barrage of emails everyday making them do what they said they were going to do. We also had to get the bank involved to get these people to fulfill their end of the contract. Absolutely insane and shameful. Word to the wise - stay away from this company and those that Home Depot contracts their work out too because a lot of these subcontractors cant get work on their own because their work is terrible. You invite hacks into your house then you receive hack work in return. It's too bad I learned too late. Dont make the same mistake I did. Stay away from these people. read more

Horrible customer service. Phone messages were not returned. Appointments weren't kept. When is taller did actually appear he didn't bring all of his tools and then disappeared for five hours. I expected much, much more from a Home Depot contractor. read more

I purchased 2900 sq ft of carpet from Home Depot. They sent Crew 2 to install it over 2 days. Did not send adequate number of installers, were working at home till 10:45 PM. Installers were disrespectful and not properly trained. They did significant damage to my brand new baseboards and door jams. I have entire rooms were the base boards is deeply scraped up, gouged or chuck of it missing. There are some other rooms where there is not a scratch. So this is definitely NOT normal installation methods/wear. I was told to get estimate for repairs of damage and installer would take out claim on their insurance policy. The estimate is for $2500. Now refusing to pay and not returning phone calls. I expected A LOT more from a big box brand like Home Depot! read more

Crew2 far exceeded my expectations for our carpet install. We purchased our carpet through Home Depot and Crew2 installed it. We received a phone call from a representative within a couple days of the order to schedule the install for the following week. It was such a fast turn around I had to push the date out a few days to prepare the room. They were flexible with timing and they ensured the install would be handled with care. They called the day before to provide a window of time and to review the order. They installers also called the morning of to give 30 minutes advanced notice. When they arrived, they introduced themselves and reviewed the order again for accuracy. They quickly got to work and put blankets down to walk through the house. They were extremely clean and professional and went above and beyond their standard of care. After the install, they had me inspect to make sure it everything looked great before leaving the site. They even vaccummed the carpet before they left! All in all, I would certainly use Crew2 again for any carpet install! :) read more

Crew 2 is the WORST installer ever. I'd love to be able to show pictures of the carpet they installed on our stairs because you just can't imagine how awful it is. Huge gap at the wall -- doesn't even reach across! Huge visible nails hammered into the steps, two different styles of install done on our steps, no tack strip, but visible nails! They put a whole in our wall and never said anything about it, we just came home and saw it. They broke our fridge that is only a few years old -- picked it up by the freezer door handle and broke it so the seal doesn't hold and it leaks water all over! They scheduled appointments and didn't show up! They put our laminate in and cut the boards in the house leaving a thick layer of dust that I had to spend 2 hours of my Friday night cleaning up. We are in month 4 and its still not done!! I could have built an entire house in that time. If you are considering Home Depot (who sub-contracts Crew 2) putting your flooring in, run, RUN the other way! The cost savings on the install is not worth the pain and suffering you will be put through. I will post on every website I can about how HORRIBLE Home Depot and their contracted installer Crew 2 is because I wish no one to go through the nightmare we have gone through!!! read more

Unfortunately I became involved with Crew2 through a carpet purchase from Home Depot. It was a complete disregard for customer service and follow through from the beginning. It started with their crew showing up hours late even though I was extremely specific with their scheduling department. The job they did was everything short of what you would expect from a professional installation company. What the real problem was, and a true representation of this company, that once an issue was brought to their attention it was nothing but lies and cover-up stories. For over a month I tried to get the issues resolved and only by working directly with Home Depot's regional management was the problem ever taken care of. They even had the unprofessionalism to schedule my repairs weeks out as if I was a new customer. A scheduled "walk through" was set up with Home Depot's regional service manager and Crew2's people didn't even show up. One excuse after another and it came from all levels. Even the installation crew (who by the way are all independent contractors) told me that my experience was not uncommon. Once a confirmed repair date was set, only after several complaints to Home Depot, they sent their own regional manager to come out and speak with me. He left before the job was completed but he swore up and down that he would call me back once the job was completed. He swore that he really wanted to speak with me and that my satisfaction was all he cared about at that point. Well I was lied to again. Even their regional manager lied and showed their true way of customer service. I'm amazed that Home Depot is still using them after all this, including when they completely blew off Home Depot's management. Don't sign a single piece of paper work with anyone from Crew2 upon installation. I'm so glad I refused to sign the paperwork because at least I had recourse against them. Sure mistakes happen but covering up with lies and a lack of customer service really shows the makeup of a company. Even the regional manager who made a "special trip" to see me lied right to my face. All they were worried about was trying to get me to sign off on a crappy installation. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! Crew Two is terrible, do no purchase carpet from Home Depot as they are their subcontractors. First off, our install window was 12-4, 4 rolls around and no word. We waiting until about 4:30 and then had to call them.. They 'said' they should be there any moment and they were running late- Well, if they were running late, why didn't anyone call to let us know? 5 rolls around, no one... 6:00 we call again, "They should be coming any second." Nothing..... Someone from customer service calls to ask how our install went, ah they haven't even shown up yet. They said a manager would call us about this and they never did. About 6:30 rolls around and ONE guy shows up, says the rest are still coming. The rest show up about 7 or 7:30 and they were finished by about 9:30. It was Friday night and they went as fast as they could and ran out the door, didn't even give us a chance to get a look at the job, which was terrible. Scratches/marks all over our walls, cuts in our wood and holes everywhere in the carpeting. Monday morning we called to tell them about 15 different spots that were messed up and they scheduled someone to come back out a week later. He shows up, very nice guy and said "Oh, they were rushing, this job is terrible" He took pictures, said he needed to order enough carpet to redo our bedroom and stairs along with spots they forgot to even install carpet in. He said we would get a call from the office within two days to schedule... Well, a week later no call. My husband then called them and they said on their end, someone came out- fixed the issues and they closed the ticket! They said they would send an urgent message to the manager and he would call me back, that was Monday it is now Thursday. I decided I'm not dealing with their games anymore so I called Home Depot- They said they never even put in a work order for fixing. The Store manager said he would get it resolved for me today and hopefully he does. Totally done with Crew Two- I will never purchase or recommend anyone buy anything from home depot that will need an install because from speaking to friends & neighbors they have VERY similar stories with this company- Not worth the stress! read more
