What I had: Club Sandwich with Fries and a Bloody Mary. What I thought: My Club Sandwich was just okay. I'm not a fan of turkey roll and this sandwich had a lot of it. Plus, two pieces of Texas white toast didn't do much for me either. Add the orange cheese and I'm questioning what I ordered. The fries were hot and crispy, however. So that was a plus. Lastly, my Bloody Mary was a bit underwhelming. It was tomato juice and alcohol...maybe some heat too. It needed some spices. I actually added salt and pepper to mine from the table. It didn't help it much. The view and outdoor seating was appreciated.

I'm not sure I can say enough good things to do this place justice. The food was delicious, the waterfront tables can't be beat and the service is WAY better than any other restaurant right now. We will definitely be back!

The pan seared salmon has a lightly crispy exterior: it seriously doesn't need the tartar sauce.

Crews Inn is a throwback to an earlier time. As Americans, we've become spoiled with our dining: we expect a constant procession of food, from the bread basket to the salad to the main course. So, this place is a bit jarring. The appetizers are not cheap compared to the main courses. There is no side salad option, though you can get a bowl of soup. And, there is a bread basket, but you have to ask for it. But, if the food is as good as it is here, you can certainly get away with being old school. The crabcakes are some of the best I've ever had a restaurant: they contain a lot of crab! Seriously, this is my big gripe about crabcakes anywhere, but that's not the case here. The sauce that comes with them his uninspired, but the crab itself is so good that it doesn't matter. The grilled salmon that I had was superb. Very nice crispy exterior, and a perfectly cooked interior. The buttery broccoli and beans they came with it were a very nice accompaniment. I haven't been here in years, but I see that the things that made them good years ago haven't changed. I can see that my fellow diners look familiar, like I probably saw them years ago at the same place. This is a place that only the locals really know about, and that's a shame. Sometimes, you don't have to be cutting edge to be good.

I wanted to like this place. I have been grabbing Groupons to places to try out. I paid like $8 for a $20 in food. We walked in and there was no one up front. Finally we were acknowledged, she told us to come with her.. all the way to the back of the restaurant where the other 2 tables were seated. Lovely. The decor is so old and dated. Ughh.. glad we have the water or lack of to look at. It seemed to be regulars. Plus, it was Valentine's Day... Finally we place a drink order. We got a coke (2.95) and root beer(3.50) I didn't understand the price difference, we kinda laughed. Oh well. When we placed our order I asked if we could get bread or something. I hadn't eaten and I was kinda fading fast. I kid you not, she was like since it's Valentine's Day, I'll Bring you a roll. I kind of laughed and said thanks. What a joke. When she came with a piece of bread and the clam chowder we ordered, almost instantaneous. We never really waited. We shared a cup because the waitress boasted about it being the best in the state. I will say, it was pretty good!! We got the crab cake lunch and lake perch and chips? The waitress again boasted about the crab being real crab and not imitation. Wooo.. The lake perch was "fresh" as in it was dipped and then fried. So the seafood dishes are as fresh as you'd expect at a restaurant on the water. Both the crab and the fish were good. The vegetables on the side also were good. Not the best but good. We both liked the food we ate. The prices though? Wow too much. I didn't even have a drink and we spent $40+. I never say this, ever. I left still kind of hungry. For the amount of food we received to the price we paid, the value was not there. You can tell that from the clientele that this is a corner diner to them. The prices to the amount of food you get is just not there for me. I don't eat a lot, thanks tummy issues.. but this left me hungry. It was good to try, but, anything more than trying it, I'll pass. Maybe over the summer I'll come back, sit on the deck, and try it again.. but not anytime soon.

Great menu selections and quality ingredients. Service was fast and very charming. Location is nice especially in the warmer months when you can sit outside and watch the boats go by. I would return!!

Landmark of a place for the boating community! A great place to sit outside or dock your boat and have a cocktail, grab some lunch/dinner. It's your typical old school setup and the food was ok. A little update with the place and food choices would do this place good. Highlights: I had the coconut shrimp. A little over done with the breading. The shrimp were huge and the coconut flavor is not so overwhelming. You get your typical mixed veggies and two redskins on the side. My BF had the Mahi Mahi with pineapple and peppers chopped up on top. The fish was a bit dry/over done. We both had a cocktail and they were great! The service was excellent! The manager came by and asked if everything was ok. You get a bread basket. It's more of a family restaurant type feel. The prices were a bit high I must say. Nonetheless, if you are boating or on a nice summer day, it's worth to go for the experience, hang out outside and listen to the music coming from next door, watch the boats pass by. I would come again.

Came here for a boat ride and Christmas Carol sing along event. It was advertised as appetizers at the restaurant, then boat ride with Caroling and DJ. The cost was $30. Upon arrival I told the hostess I was there for the boat event. She directed me to a table and then pointed to where the appetizers where. All 2 of them. There were 2 chafing dishes set upon a single table, one contained some triangular beef pastry thing, the other an eggroll shaped cheesy pastry thing. They might as well have served us hot pockets. Paper plates, no sauces. Are you kidding me!? They were pretty gross and not what I was expecting for our 'appetizers'. Apparently they want you to order food. Drinks were extra. After snacking on our appetizers and 2 drinks - time to head to the boat. It was a cold, snowy night, everyone piled on the boat. There were about 60 people - and the indoor space on the boat was made to accommodate about 15. We were jammed up and jelly tight. People were freaking out. A small CASH only bar was inside, with 1 bartender. Awesome. Chaos ensued. Finally the boat left the dock, about 80% of the people decided to brave the elements and go to the front or back of the boat, but many people staying inside at the bar. The DJ was on the back and was playing Christmas carols about every 3rd song. There was no Sing Along, no one was in charge, you could obviously sing if you wanted to, which many did, but it was just a free for all. After about 1/2 hour he stopped all Christmas Carols and switched to oldies and dance music and a dance party ensued on the slippery cold deck. Many people said that this was not the boat that they had been on before, this was a small boat with a very small inside space and limited space at front and back. I have no idea what its capacity was, but we had to have been at maximum. Hopefully we weren't in danger. The boat was unable to break through the river ice to get us to the lake so instead we went back and forth in front of the houses then backwards to Crews Inn, then up as far as we could go and the backwards again. It was actually amusing. Don't get me wrong - I had fun - but it was in spite of their poor execution. It was only because everyone on the boat was nice, fun and there to have a good time. Dancing, drinking and talking to everyone was really great. Afterwards we went back in to Crews Inn and continued to dance and talk with all the new friends we had made. I would probably do another of their boat rides, but this time I would know what to expect and not think I was getting apps and I would bring plenty of CASH. It was all about the fun people.

Coconut Shrimp with a plum dipping sauce, ungodly good !!!

Seriously a local crown jewel , my wife and I have been many time and we are always treated with nothing but respect and kindness. I ordered the coconut shrimp , but and just and delicious !!!! My wife this time had a bugger and said it was very good. But the last time we went she had the fish and chips and she said it was ok. If you haven't been , you need to go, you won't be disappointed !

    Rachel D.

I've been here 2 times, first in the summer, and then just last night. The first time i ordered the crews inn tuna nachos to split as an appetizer and they were TO DIE FOR. That day i ordered the fish and chips and it was awesome. Then last night i ordered the nachos as my main dish and it was still good, just something was different. If you order it, get regular sour cream instead of the wasabi sour cream. The clam chowder is super good! A little on the pricy side, but it's good for a nice lunch.

Anyways, the food options are very good. They even have pizza. So I have no problem with the food or the location, it was more just bad service and a big mixup on one of my friends meal and so he had to watch while we all ate. He didn't get an apology from anyone which surprised me. I got the power bowl which was very good but I was confused when they brought it because it didn't look like a bowl full of ingredients, it was like a plate of ingredients more like fajita ingredients. But like I said, I did enjoy it very much. One of the people in our party got a salad with salmon on it, and she said it was very heavy with spices which she didn't think she saw listed in the menu. One of my sons got a pizza and he absolutely loved it and then two people got hamburgers which they loved also along with the great french fries. Although I only gave it three stars, I would come back here again hoping that maybe it was just one bad waitress. She rarely checked on us. In fact I don't think she checked on us at all because I had to flag her down to get carry out boxes and she didn't bring a lot of the Side ingredients we had asked for like someone asked for ranch dressing, mine was supposed to come with sour cream and salsa, and another person didn't get their side of cheese.

It came with multiple freshly baked dinner rolls with some char on them and crispy breadsticks, complemented by a garlicky butter. Soup of the Day (Seafood Bisque): 5/5 This soup was the best dish of all that I had ordered. Despite being a side dish for the prime rib, its rich flavor overshadowed everything else I ate for the evening. House Salad: 2.5/5 The salad is a standard salad that you can skip. Nothing special. Louisiana Lemon Pepper Walleye: 4/5 The walleye was the second best dish. It was a well seasoned, large filet that had a great tartar sauce to go with it. This is a dish I would order again if I came back. Prime Rib: 3/5 The prime rib was surprisingly underwhelming. The edges of the prime were a little tougher than I'd like, and the prime rib itself came out a little cold. The au jus could have been reduced to be a little more concentrated as well. Overall, if I were to come back I would choose to order some different menu items, apart from the soup.

Responsible alcohol service did not appear to be a priority. It was common to see visibly intoxicated patrons continue to be served, sometimes to the point where their condition was hard to ignore, and then leave without any meaningful intervention. That alone raises serious concerns about community safety. Operationally, there seemed to be very little oversight. Staff were regularly left to close the bar without an owner or manager present, despite the volume of cash moving through the business. Inventory tracking appeared inconsistent, with many items rung in under vague or generic categories rather than clearly documented. From a customer perspective, it felt chaotic and loosely managed. There also seemed to be a culture of excessive comping of drinks and blurred boundaries between ownership and patrons, which created an unprofessional atmosphere. Instead of structure and accountability, the environment felt improvised. What ultimately changed my perception permanently was how a legitimate health issue was handled. When I was unable to come in due to a serious medical situation and communicated that honestly, the response escalated quickly and aggressively rather than being handled with professionalism. That experience alone made it clear that people are disposable here. If you're looking for a bar that prioritizes responsible service, professionalism, and consistent management standards, I would think carefully before choosing this one. The optics may look improved from television, but the underlying culture did not appear to change.

Lasagna 4stars It had been many years since I had dined here. It is kind of in a corner of my area we just don't get to for some reason. One night we couldn't decide where we wanted to dine and we all said hey let's go to Luigi's. Our first visit was amazing when it came to the fettuccine Alfredo with cauliflower noodles. The Alfredo sauce was absolutely delicious and tasty. The bread basket was amazing with little homemade bread rolls. The spaghetti with meat sauce and meatball was just disappointing and uneventful . More and more we are finding many of the Italian restaurants we go to have spaghetti and meat sauce that is just not what it used to be. It didn't have any garlic flavor, was very heavy tomato based VERY acidic and the meatball was again just OK. Lasagna was delicious. I asked to add Alfredo sauce on top ,one of my favorite things to do when it comes to lasagna. We returned for a birthday dinner probably just four or five weeks later. Basically we all ordered the same items except for the lasagna. I went for the pizza which was very very very good. The Alfredo with gluten-free noodles were not very good this time. There was so much parsley in it. All you could taste was a dry green flavor, it did not have a great Parmesan flavor, and there was no garlic that we could taste. The chicken was OK. The spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs I can only explain as being subpar. This time it did taste like tomato paste diluted with tomato sauce, and it was actually the same thickness and flavor of the minestrone soup with very Little meat . The meatball again was just OK. We could pour the liquid sauce off of the plate. Noodles appeared to be drained, it just seemed like the sauce was extremely thin with minimal meat and just minimal flavor. Really not sure if we would return. Inside is a little dated, however well maintained and clean. Our first time dining here we had great service. This second visit, again our server was subpar. When they serve pizza, they put a piece on your plate and serve that to you and then bring the whole pizza to the table. The waitress asked if we wanted Romano cheese on on the food and I said sure. She failed to put Romano cheese on the piece of pizza she herself served to me on a plate. I did not say anything ,and it could have been Me but the two people at the table felt the same way I did, our server just didn't seem invested in our dining experience. We did let our server know about our disappointment with the spaghetti and Alfredo dish. A manager never came to speak with us, they never offered to take anything off of the bill considering my son didn't even eat his spaghetti with meat sauce(where was the meat actually there was not much that could be located). And , the waitress could see how much parsley was in the fettuccine Alfredo. She did ask if they could remake our meals, but we are not very comfortable with sending our meals back to be remade. Removing the spaghetti with meat sauce would've truly been an appropriate move. We did not expect that two whole meals would be removed from the bill being my partner was so hungry he went ahead and ate his birthday dinner ,fettuccine Alfredo.

Went in early Saturday night, party of four. We were immediately seated and our server Jonah was…read moreright there to take our drink order. This place has a bit of everything, Ribs, Lobster Rolls, Mexican, several fish dishes plus the standard burgers and stuff. When ordering we could super size easily. For example my buddy did 2 Lobster Rolls and I did a full order of ribs. No pricing was discussed, which would make most uneasy, but the upcharge was minimal and glad we. Both did it. We passed on desert but know they are well known for it, so next time.

This is my second time here, and clearly I didn't learn from the first -- but it also looks like…read moreownership hasn't either. Your service is terrible, your food is mediocre at best, and the entire place feels poorly run. We came in with a party of 12... and you just lost all 12 of us as customers. The waitress was completely ineffective. Orders were missed, timing was all over the place, and communication was nonexistent. Some of our group finished eating before one person even got their food -- that's unacceptable. Let's talk about the food and presentation: * Fry baskets? Just awkward and unnecessary. * Pretzel with beer cheese -- the pretzel was literally sitting in the cheese, which had a skin on it... so it was either microwaved or sitting way too long. * Beer wasn't cold -- just "kind of" cold. Big difference. * Beer selection is weak and oddly repetitive (how many reds do you need?). * If I had to guess, your beer lines haven't been cleaned in a long time. The burger tasted like a frozen patty -- nothing special at all. The "hot honey fish"? It tasted like straight-up bottled sauce -- like Asian Zing from Buffalo Wild Wings. Not good, not creative. We were told a manager would come by -- never happened. If someone did and that was your manager, you've got a bigger problem. Operationally, this place is a mess: * 3 hostesses for a restaurant this size? Why not have food runners instead? * We didn't receive a significant portion of what we ordered * The dining area is dirty * The parking lot is in rough shape At some point, you've got to be honest with yourselves.
