Silly me for that, it's much less crowded on weekday mornings. Anyway I waited about 45 minutes for an appointment to buy an Apple Watch. Trevor assisted me with my purchases and we wrapped up the transaction, including buying the watch, a pair or air pod pros, and trading in an older phone for store credit in less than 10 minutes. I later realized that in concluding our business that I hadn't been upsold on getting Apple Care+ for my new devices. No problem, I added them later that night via the interwebs. So the store is nice and simple, the products are great, and the staff is nice. Four stars only because I felt a little rushed. I'm used to getting a nice unboxing presentation and a little more help with setting things up. I guess I just looked like I knew what I was doing. The restroom was clean. So that's a plus. As of 07/31/21 Security guards at the entrance will ask you to wear a mask (and provide you with one if you don't have one) because of the never-ending Virus-19.

It stayed stuck on 18% for over 24 hours plugged up with the apple charger it came with (this will be important in a minute). I came in (after a long wait) they ran a diagnostic and said it came back normal and proceeded to plug it up with their charger there. It gained some battery back into it and then they asked if I had ran the software update I said no because it needs 20% to do that and I havent had that. So they do that and it starts charging some. All I really wanted was to just pay for a new battery to be put in so I wouldnt run into this issue again but he proceeded to tell me they couldn't because the diagnostic came back clear it all looked fine and was charging with their charger. Proceeded to ask me if I charged it with an apple one I said yes it always charges with it every night unless I need a quick charge at school I use a different one but I don't typically have to do that until up to about a week ago. He continued to blame the charging on the other charger that I use messing up the battery, etc etc and that I only need to use the apple one I was given, YET I told him it is what I use all the time and I tried 5 different chargers to try and see if they would charge. Then just said well must have been a glitch and sent me on my way. How hard is it just to replace a battery that is not working like it should be no matter your "diagnostic". I was going to pay for it. I am a graduate student getting my doctorate degree and I dont have time for this. Just very very frustrating.

I knew it was going to take forever and cost a lot of money but Zulaika made the process as simple and painless as it could possibly be! We left feeling confident, cared for, and so so so grateful. Zulaika was absolutely phenomenal! She perfectly represents the T-Mobile customer service that I've heard so much about. I was formerly a Verizon customer but needed to put my entire family on a single plan and was dreading it. She spent over 4 hours patiently helping our family of five get everything we needed all while making sure we got the best deal possible. Her customer service was TOP TIER--personable, kind, and incredibly thorough. Thorough ain't even the word. She was just amazing and dealt with a lot in that timeframe but her attitude was just so pleasant and professional. We had so many moments of her laughing and joking with the family like we all knew each other and if you have to be in a store for hours, that's exactly how you want it to be. Shoutout to T-Mobile as a company for hiring people like Zulaika who care so deeply about the customer experience and for creating a culture where customer care really shines. My shorts, too large for my apparently shrunken hips (must be the active lifestyle, hey now!), requires my hands to hold them up if I run for more than a few seconds. Of course I failed to do that on the fateful day of hopping across the street and my cell phone flops out and lands with a dreadful crack on the hard pavement. After retrieving it, the lcd screen is shot and weird multi-colored lines appear on the screen. I desperately tried to swipe and type this way and that, all to no avail. My life as I knew it ended right then and there. The phone goes from barely functional to completely bonkers in alternating phases. I had no idea how much I depended on the damn thing. It was like losing my superpower (sad that my superpower is an old iPhone ain't it? Makes me question my purpose in life) but I was completely helpless. I couldn't drive (no GPS), I couldn't find restaurants, I couldn't call or send texts, I couldn't listen to music. I was so sad! :( Until John appeared in my life.
