I did purchase a TV and scheduled a time for it to be delivered, only because I did not have anyone to help, otherwise I would have just had it loaded into my vehicle. I will admit their pricing was the same as the nearest other larger retailer, but wanting to support a local business, I went to Drapinsky. The day of delivery, I tried to prepare by clearing the area to swap out my older TV for the new TV and then waited. The time I was told would be between 9:30 and 10:30 AM, by 11:30 I called to see if it was even coming. Apparently, someone forgot to add it to the schedule and after a few apologies, I was told it would arrive later in the afternoon. So now I am currently waiting. I understand it is a family business, as I was reminded a few times during my shopping experience that they have been in business 96 years and they did have a back log of repairs. However, I did just spend a lot of money for what I was told a "Top of the line" TV and though hoping for same day delivery, I gave the option of two days later and was told it would work out. I will say, I had planned on buying a different TV when I walked in, but after being shown the difference between what I wanted and what is better, I went with the better option. They do seem to know and have the ability to show your options and the knowledge of what is best for you. I really want to support a local business and I really liked the people I dealt with, so hopefully I can change my rating once I receive the TV I had purchased.

Thankfully I bought it on a premium credit card with an extended warranty benefit so decided to go through with it. LG's site pointed me towards Linet to attempt a repair. Alex was very helpful in trying to diagnose and explain the problem. Ultimately a replacement board didn't work out, so the most likely fix per Alex's experience was a very expensive panel replacement, at which point a new TV made more sense. Even still, Alex was very helpful with my extended warranty claim process which required documentation. Alex was experienced with this process and even advised me on how to get through it more quickly by telling insurance to call him for additional information they were seeking. So they get that extra star. They haven't made much of an investment on the grocery side either since there is no fresh meat or seafood counter, deli, or bakery. There's a very small produce department and all of the refrigerated/freezer aisles are very short. To make things even more inconvenient, you cannot buy alcohol at their self check out. Looks like I'll be making that trip to Safeway afterall.

They both had been given the wrong orders. Whatever was going on caused a huge backup. I do not think it was the employees fault because I heard them say that they had confirmed the order with the number the customers gave them. Slow forward to 37 minutes later. The employee came to me with a bag and asked if it was my order. It was not. He was so apologetic. He immediately went in and retrieved my correct order. With a sale like this, prices plummet so precipitously that I end up buying oddball items like mason jars just because I want the lid for my much bigger and more useful mason jar at home. I found a little set of bins, loaded with useful supplies for some of my favorite but more obscure hobbies. I was really really impressed by the coffee table that was priced at $.85. That is correct cents. This was so unbelievable that I checked the price tags three times. Unfortunately, it didn't fit my car, it doesn't match any of my decor and it doesn't fit my spaces. Oh well There are some sections, such as the stationary area that are so reliably overstocked that I don't even bother to visit office supply stores or check out Amazon before I shop here. In fact when I wanted to measure an item, I wished I had bought a tape measure. But then it occurred to me that the overstocked stationary area would probably have lots of rulers. Problem solved. For once, I arrived early enough that I could donate. I've been diligently collecting my donations and missing the donation times for almost a year. It pays to sign up for the mailing list because they will unexpectedly shut down donations because they no longer have any storage. This has happened to me multiple times until I wised up and got the emails. I rummaged over enough stuff, lost track of time, and finally snapped out of it when my stomach told me to go home. In spite of the attractive sale,, it was not overcrowded. It was still comfortable and gave you plenty of space to look at items and try to figure out what some of the more obscure objects were. I didn't actually end up buying very much. But clearly the fun was in the treasure hunt.
