Fixed the charging port on my iPad Pro 6th gen…read more The 6th gen iPad Pro has a flimsy but expensive screen that needs to be removed to replace the port. So many repair shops either didn't want to bother or quoted a ridiculous, "eff-off" price just to send a message that they didn't want to work on them. He did not. Very knowledgeable and friendly "nerd" owner with a great, customer-oriented attitude. And he underpriced the competition by almost half! (My suspicion is that the others break a lot of screens doing this repair, so they build in the cost of making a mistake into their price; whereas he is careful enough and uses methods to not break the screen so as to not need to build the cost of his mistakes into the price.) FWIW, I have high standards, sometimes think I know too much, and can ask too many questions. Mike indulged me on all questions regarding a simple iPad repair and then some. (Other repair shops didn't want to talk about their methods or ideas). Cleaned my iPhone port for free, too! Very good communication of the risks and options for the iPad repair. I recommend them very highly to my friends, and now to you.

The guys at Free CheckFix took my problem in stride and found a way to get my printer to communicate with my computer. When returning home with my working system I was trying to shut the truck door while holding the brother laser and promptly dropped the printer on the driveway and trashed it. Mark and David found a new Brother Laser and a new CPU that could run windows 11 and together they were cheaper than what I paid for the old laser printer. The prices were low, service high and attitude was positive ............... I'm very lucky I discovered them

I don't write a lot of reviews, but this one is worth it…read more I already knew my hard drive was the issue, but Jason still took the time to remotely confirm the diagnosis before I brought it in. That gave me confidence I was dealing with someone honest and knowledgeable -- no upselling, no guessing. From there, everything was easy. I don't have a car, and he worked with me to make the process simple instead of turning it into a hassle -- that alone was a huge plus. He replaced the drive and even charged less than what I found at Best Buy, which honestly surprised me. The end result? My computer is running like it should -- fast, smooth, and no more frustration. It's rare to find someone who's skilled, fair on pricing, and actually easy to work with. Jason checks all three.

Beware Beware Beware of: Jason's Computer Repair…read moreJason Hebert 1225 Town Center Dr. (The Foundry) Pflugerville TX 78660 Jason Computer Repair works out of his apartment address above. On May 14th of 2026 my sister and I took my computer over to Jason's Computer Repair, on May 25th Jason sent me a text saying my hard drive was failing, that I needed a new one and the cost would be $499.00, he said someone else would charge me thousands (I am repeating what is on the text from Jason) I said okay to the $499.00 plus tax and I waited and I waited, he said he had to order the new hard drive, so I waited and waited. On June 2nd Jason said he had the new hard drive and needed another day or 2, On June 9th Jason said I could pick up my computer and I did. The next day my computer crashed again. So I decided to purchase a new computer and when the tech came to my home to set up my new computer, he asked where is your old hard drive, I said Jason Computer Repair didn't give it back to me. I text Jason I would like my old hard drive back, he lied and said he gave it to me the day I picked up my computer that I must have lost it. I said no you did not give it back to me. I was getting nowhere with Jason so I took my original old computer that Jason said he put in a new hard drive in to A computer Engineer in Austin, What they found inside was an old hard drive, older than my old computer (there was no new hard drive and he did not download my old info onto the old drive he installed. The computer Engineer gave me the proof of the older hard drive and they could not recover any of my data, there was nothing. So I gave Jason another chance and asked him if he would look around to see if he could find my old hard drive and he lied and still insisted he gave it to me. I have no idea what he did with my original hard drive or who has all my old info. Now I am experiencing stolen identity. My Amazon Prime account stolen, I have had to report all my credit cards stolen...it is a nightmare. All my info with user names and passwords were on that original old hard drive, My social security info, my medicare info, etc. etc.....I do not know for sure if Jason sold my info but it is sure crazy that he will not return my original hard drive....Did he put in someone else's computer ? Did he sell my info ? I don't know for sure what has happened to my original old hard drive, all I know is that Jason was the last person to have it and is lying about giving it back to me. I ask how someone can do this and I just don't know unless he is selling info for money? All I know for sure are is that we trusted Jason and took my computer to him on May 14th, I picked up only my computer on June 9th, Jason refuses to return my original hard drive, he did not replace with a new hard drive and charged me for it. It is the worse computer experience I have ever had. If anyone else has had a bad experience with Jason's Repair Service, Please phone me at 512-415-9116 Jason this message is for you; if I find any bad review about my business then you will be in worse trouble. I have never done any Real Estate business with you! Unless you decide to return my original old hard drive I in trusted with you...I will drop further actions on you...if not, you will be hearing from me through legal system. I have never had to do anything like this nor leave a bad yelp review but, this is bad what you did and you need to be held accountable. Terri T.

I have never been treated so poorly by a company in my life…read more I came to this store after losing my phone at DFW Airport because I needed help transferring my phone number to Verizon. Instead of helping me, I was told there was nothing they could do because I didn't have my phone with me and was sent back to my car to call customer service. The AT&T representative on the phone immediately questioned what I had been told and instructed me to go back inside because it didn't sound right that the store couldn't help me. When I went back inside, the story completely changed. Suddenly, I was told I needed to file an insurance claim for a replacement phone just to regain access to my number and obtain a Number Transfer PIN. I trusted what I was told because it came directly from an AT&T employee. Later, I learned that wasn't even my only option. This happened immediately after I returned from my grandmother's funeral. My phone number had been tied to my banking, work, email verification, and countless important accounts for nearly 15 years. I was terrified I was going to lose access to everything, and instead of receiving competent assistance, I received conflicting information that made an already devastating situation even worse. What has made me even angrier is AT&T's response afterward. I escalated my complaint all the way to the Office of the President. The response I received was essentially, "I cannot tell you why someone else said what they said." That was the entire "investigation." No explanation. No accountability. No acknowledgment that anything went wrong. To this day, no one has explained why I was given conflicting information. No one has provided written confirmation that I will not be charged insurance-related fees or any additional charges connected to this situation. Instead, I was expected to simply accept the situation and move on. This review is not about the cost of a phone or a billing dispute. It is about accountability. Large companies should not be able to give customers incorrect information, refuse to explain what happened, and then hide behind company policies without taking responsibility. I sincerely hope no one else has to experience what I went through.

The gentleman that answered the phone told me that I had to come into the store to get that information. When asked if he could just verify the status of my insurance (yes or no), he said "Nope". This was typical of my experience with ATT stores. The manager at the store in S. Austin, where I bought the phone was so rude, and a Lier, that I swore I would never use ATT again, even though I like ATT.
