I would give this place 4 stars but the go go dancers should stop stop. Unfortunately the dancers are not attractive and not very good dancers. Seems that they should be one of the two. Otherwise this is a decent spot for drinks. They have pool tables in back which is cool. The bartenders are professional (polite, not super chatty and efficient) in contrast with some of the other little bars in town. Crimsin's What can I say I was there on a friday night and it was a fun nite for me and my girlfriend, drinks were good and not high priced, music was very good had too much fun on the dance floor,by far the best bar in pedro I ever been in.. Security keeps all the knuckleheads out with a classier dress code that this venue is well deserved of, being from out of town you dont get the dirty looks as you do in other San Pedro dive bars. Ok, I don't go into these types of bars very often, but when I do, I take notes for y'all. Stopped by on a weeknight since I live within walking distance. The usual number of drunk people having fun. They have a back room for private parties and on this night a crowd of really big people (think In N Out daily) had this place reserved. They have a smoking area outback with couches. I don't smoke but liked the idea of having those with a death wish on a nice couch OUTSIDE. One great perk is a quick getaway once you pass the smokers to an alleyway. From here you can simply walk away into the night. Recommended only if you're packing since it is an alleyway. I recommend this bar since the Staff keeps everyone in check, it appears cleaner than most, & if you're close by, no DUI! Yay! read more

My hubby and I went out for a night on the town in back February when Grandma was visiting. It was election day - after voting we stopped in at Crimsin for a drink to celebrate before going out for a fancy dinner. This is a pretty swanky bar for Pedro. Until recently it was a scary looking dive bar typical of the Pedro bar scene. They did a great job decorating. It was also TOTALLY EMPTY. Just us and the bartender. I am not sure it was even worth paying the bouncer to sit out there. I hope that it was just slow because it was election night. This could be a great place to go with a group of friends. They had some fun special martinis but I think the Copper Room has better signature drinks. I think they were showing Blue Planet on the giant plasma screen behind the bar. My first and last time at Crimson. I Mean really that place is a joke. At first glance as I walked in I thought the decor was ok but nothing special. I first headed for the restroom which was filthy, Urin all over the floor & toilet. I been to cleaner dive bars... then I go to the bar. The bartender was too busy flirting the busboy to even acknowledge me. Finally after 5min she takes my order a Saphire and tonic and what a rip off if wanted to pay Hollywood prices I'd be in Hollywood. So my party found a booth sat for about 10min until we could not stand to endure the crappy music the dj was playing. I'm sorry not stoked on mexican house music. This was the first time going to this bar and i was kinda worried that i wasnt gonna like it......but it turned out to be pretty cool. The service is great, you get your drinks real fast and they can make you pretty much anything you want. A cool setting and a mellow vibe, everyone seems to know everyone in the place. Was out in Pedro for the first time in like 4 years for a meeting and decided to get a drink at crimsin. The decor is dim with red lighting, very modern furniture, and a couple of big screens. Definitely recommend this place! Out of all the bars on 6th st. This is the one to go to. Always have good times when I'm there. Good place to go if your in a group or even just with a friend. I go there at least once or twice a month and Thursday Nights seem to be my favorite when I go. They added pool tables in the back and tvs all over the bar and back. A new jukebox for music is added and at night they have djs. Thursday is a video dj named rap mars and he mixes some great music all night with great visuals and sometimes funny videos. He takes requests all night so he can play anything from hiphop to rock to house. the drinks are great too and bartenders are fun. Its a fun place to hang out at and very recommended. :D read more

Eghhh, such a bummer I'm not a fan! My man and I had been eyeing this place for a while, and finally the day I decided to venture in- happened to be with my friend and her boyfriend at the time! Don't get me wrong, the place looks pretty decent ESPECIALLY for this area, but after I sat at the bar to order my drink, my expectations of the place plummeted. The girl who was bar tending acted like she was in a relationship with the guy who seemed to be her manager. That's totally fine, but when you're at work- be professional! I asked for a margarita (clearly) and she seemed puzzled, walked over to her "boss" where she seemed to whisper something to him, came back to me and asked what kind of vodka I'd like in that. "Oh, no, I'm sorry- I asked for a mar-ga-ri-taaa." Hmm? Needless to say I ended up with a martini. Then a couple girls who seemed to be on their "second shift", if you know what I mean, got up on the dance boxes and started GoGo-ing in bikinis. One customer at the bar turned to his buddies, smiled, walked over to the girl and put a bill into the bottoms of her get up! No thanks, I didn't want this kinda place. I'm a huge fan of a good dive bar. But I didn't ask for the stripper atmosphere and the really bad drink. Needless to say, I won't be going back, nor will I be sending any of my friends there.
