Usually a great spot and great workers but last nights experience was very disappointing. Me n a couple of buddies went to play a quick game of pool and get a quick pitcher when we were interrupted by a shorter man who was twice our age with a dodgers hat and a 49ers tattoo who was apparently a "gangbanger". As soon as we walked in he started to "gangbang"on my friend for apparently "having his hands in his pocket" then afterwards threw up a gang sign at us. We started to explain to him that we don't bang and if there was a problem than we can solve it and that's when Another man which was fat and bald who I'm assuming was his partner or husband came in and almost ended in a bar fight before they backed off and didn't want to run the ones. My fiancé and I have became weekly customers of O'Hearn's! Our bartender Sydney always takes the best care of us. She always has such a great attitude. She makes sure our waters and drinks are never empty. Before I can even ask for a refill, she's on it!! Excellent service. She's always on top of it and because of her we will continue to return. Then some Hispanic gang banger just felt the need to ruin our time there. For no apparent reason other than to ruin someone's day. One of the best burgers I've ever had -- perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. The bun was soft yet held everything together, and the toppings were fresh and just the right amount. Every bite was satisfying. I'd go back just for this burger. read more

I have a friend who loves "dive bars". The food, the ambiance. He always conveniently "forgets" his wallet. Lol. I yelped "dive bar " and this place showed up so we gave it a go. Very friendly folks. Sometimes these places can be very local and Insular. Not so here. The staff and patrons were all very cool and we spoke about trucks and motorcycles. Meanwhile, The staff was very apologetic as The deep fryer was getting cleaned (always a good sign) ... no worries. Burger and chips are fine. The beer is cold. The folks are nice. Just stopped in for a quick burger while getting my truck worked on. Diana the daytime bartender is super sweet and gave great service, but my god that must've been the worst burger I've ever seen. It looked like it was made by someone who's never cooked before. I asked Diana if I could get a turkey sandwich instead, to which she happily obliged, and then the sandwich looked and tasted like it'd been made in a hospital. Again, Diana's awesome and I hate to even leave a review like this, but man that food menu needs serious help- or at very least a decent cook. read more

Okay bar with okay service what bummed me out the most is that they went as far as blocking alllll Spanish songs from the touch tunes machine. So sad. We thought it would be a great idea to stop in to a highly rated dive bar for grub and drinks. Great news is that the drinks and service were impeccable. The grub, however, was horrendous. A plastic meat patty about the size of a golf ball on a huge bun with 1/4 inch slices of onions and tomatoes. For $15.00, I expected more meat. As we were leaving, there was a guy on the patio with a streaming bloody nose, gushing into a paint bucket. His buddy was sitting next to him snorting coke from a baby food jar. The sun hadn't even set! Yikes! Imagine what "last call" is like! read more

This is my favorite dive, so close I could walk. Haha Its more of a local crowd, friendly vibes. I've always felt comfortable even if I go by myself. (There are very few bars I will stay at alone so that says a lot lol ) But I always seem to run into someone I know so.I'm not alone for very long... I like when live bands play and I think they have a DJ on the weekends. The food is great for bar food. I love taco Tuesday! Never had pickled eggs and pretzels before but I have to say... I've been coming to this bar for many years as it's just right around the corner from my house. I stopped by this past weekend to have a Michelada to try and get over a hang over and what a great decision that was. The bartender Jennifer was awesome and was very entertaining with her jokes and ensured that everyone was having a good time and definitely put a smile on our face. As the bartender was making our drinks, she ensured to make them to perfection and continued to ask how much salt would I like, how spicy do I want it and if I like olives in it which is always a plus in my books because I have some horrible Michelada's but I can tell you that it was so darn good that I drank the whole drink within seconds and I was already asking for another one to be made. My partner had a few Vodka red bull which I can tell was excellent because she had 4 of them and a couple of beers to go with it. We decided we wanted to eat lunch and noticed that they sell food and the reviews seemed to brag about how good it is. I ordered the carne asada burrito cut in half which also came with chips and pico de gallo. My other half ordered a patty melt which came with fries and a side of ranch dressing n all I can say is both our plates were pretty good for what you can expect for bar food. The burrito was a little to salty and the pico de gallo wasn't spicy at all so I asked for spicier salsa which they brought out Tapatio, Tabaso and some other hot sauce just not salsa but Tapatio always does the trick. My partners patty melt was actually really good and the only comment she made about it was it was to cheesy which that is always a plus in my books as I'm a huge cheese eater. There wasn't very many people in the bar area when we came mid day but I have been here on weekends and I know the place gets pretty crowded because they have a live band here which I hear they play some rock n roll. The service here was excellent as the bartender and the cook kept checking on us to make sure we didn't need anything. Great experience all around and will continue to come back and try some more of there food items. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday night to have a drink which quickly turned into three. A live band was playing and a few people were up and dancing. I've been to O'Hearn's a few times. Always friendly atmosphere, friendly service everything from every day beers to higher end liquors. Lot of locals and diverse clientele. You can sit at the bar, tables, play pool. I haven't ate there yet so can't comment on it. There is a back patio for smokers and or if you just want to talk with someone if it gets a little loud. Live bands on nights. Big thing, I've never seen anyone get out of hand. When you see single women come in you know it's a safe place. I give it a huge thumbs up. Rude people, they card you and the atmosphere is clique and everyone stares at you as your being carded very loudly by the door security and manager, not sure why they need to card someone in their 40's or older but they won't let you in without current ID, seriously they won't let you cross the threshold and I assume it is to deter the less then desire-ables in the local area.
