We stopped in during the St Pete 2nd Saturday Art Walk, which is really a MUST DO event. So many great galleries and shops to see in so many interesting neighborhoods. We parked by this gallery and stopped in on our way to Central Ave. They had pro sports team art by a local artist and some nice Carlton Ward photographs upstairs. He's a National Geographic photographer and has particpated in the missions up through Central Florida to highkight the areas natural features and advocate for conservation. Very friendly and helpful lady working at the gallery. They had a vintage early 70s pinball machine for sale that they let us play. :) All good.

I kept wondering where the actual main experience was supposed to begin and where the access point to that was ... That said, I did appreciate that it felt very different from the usual polished Florida tourist scene. I was greeted right away and then was given space to look around and take pictures. I kinda forgot that I was in a gallery and not a museum because honestly some of the pieces could be in one. I asked about dimensions on one piece or a series of three pieces and then was given the price and a card with their information if I had any additional questions once I went home to check my space size.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Ocean Blue Galleries Winter Park that I feel…read morecompelled to share to prevent others from being misled as I was. I visited the gallery last year while in Orlando and saw a beautiful lion painting (or so I thought). The lion holds deep personal significance for me as my late son's name, Ari, means "lion." Naturally, I was drawn to this piece. The salesperson, Lilli, immediately engaged me, took the artwork into a special dimly lit room, and passionately described the brushstrokes and how they come to life under different lighting. This entire presentation strongly implied that I was looking at an original painting. I didn't purchase it immediately but exchanged numerous emails with the gallery afterward. Twice in my emails, I referred to it as a painting. Not once did they correct me. Instead, they carefully avoided calling it a painting themselves, referring to it only as a "piece." After much deliberation, I purchased it and had it shipped internationally. When it arrived, I was shocked to find that the certificate described it as a limited-edition print, not an original painting. Feeling deceived, I reached out to the gallery, expecting them to take responsibility. Their response? They admitted they saw me calling it a painting in emails but didn't correct me because they "didn't want to offend me." When I requested a refund, they hid behind their 3-day no-refund policy, ignoring the fact that they misled me in the first place. When I pointed out that honesty should be a company policy, the gallery director, Nick, actually said "do truly strive to be honest and upfront with all of our clients". (As if honesty is optional, like a goal you work toward rather than a basic ethical standard.) Let's be real: If you have to "strive" to be honest, you're already admitting dishonesty is part of your business model. The Takeaway: Ocean Blue Galleries engages in misleading sales practices. They deliberately avoid clarifying details to secure sales. They will NOT take accountability once you realize the truth. If you're considering buying from them, triple-check what you're actually getting--because they certainly won't tell you upfront.

Beautiful young lady at the entrance catalog my reservation, which i was later told you don't really need it. They are doing one more day tomorrow from 1pm to 3pm, im definitely going to bring my mother in. Their collection was huge n beautiful. They had all the paintings im used to seeing from him n then many more of the ones i never seen. They have a new "to us" section of his collection of pop art posters. Just groovy n gorgeous colors, that bring the still images into another realm of perspective beauty. I really wanted to walk out with a few but im no where near the bank needed to do that lol. But i have gone full wild n walked out of auctions with his work before. To those that don't know? In most art auctions there's FREE booze. And this girl right here has gotten very very very VERY! "INSPIRED". I was speaking to one of the nice ladies in the show room about the last time i got "inspired" i won 3 guessing, matching n hidden treasure games in that Art auction. So i had 3 bottles of champagne with me n they went WOOOSH! Disappeared, like an act of magic. All I remember is that im the proud owner of 8 paintings. Lol among them was Petter Max and another gentleman i love. They invited me for another night of crazy Jez but although i did go I didn't add to that collection. Do i regret it? The first one no the second night? Yes omg YES!! I saw 5 of the paintings offered to me at the time weren't over the 5k mark. I saw them in this gallery over 15k ouch! I wanted to cry but a las Jez D Wild will one day find herself in another one of these auctions. Back at the gallery; I loved the displays n how they setup the art Exhibit. They had a charming greeter n one of the main most seen paintings dead center. Lady liberty. I love what he did in order to get the fund needed to save the Statue. It's what made me love his art more. Towards the left they had their painting framing counters, consultations n my favorite part, the Bar! Lol i only had a cup of wine to spice up my "inspiration" lol oh it work beautifully! I seriously felt the vibe with the groovy music playing and the beautiful art. I saw the ones i own at x2-x3 times what i payed for my collection. I fought temptation head on! I seriously wanted to walk away with 3 but even with the 12 month pay plan it would hurt my shenanigans money. Another time it's the best advice i got for myself. I think i would've walked out with a print or poster if they had it for sale. I didn't see them n my anemia was kicking my butt so I forgot to ask. I really loved my visit. The staff is kind and professional. Well verse in the craft n if u checkin through the app they give you a voucher for a free consultation on framing your art to. I would definitely come back for future exhibitions. The smell of oils n thinners really made me miss my days as a student of the arts. I think its time for me to return to my craft. A very cool warehouse Art Studio/Showroom/Residence that never disappoints on Art Walk each month…read more My husband and I have been here twice, both nights during Art Walk, and were very impressed. I loved Kendra Zvonik's colorful pieces painted on handmade paper inlaid with Florida sand. I was very tempted to purchase a piece that night and am kind of sad I didn't. Their show during the most recent Art Walk featured beautiful Asian water color, Japanese calligraphy and seal engraving. Everything was gorgeous and very impressive! Its always cool to see how the resident artists have turned the warehouses into art work space and living space. Almost all of them have an Art Show Party during Art Walk making for a unique Saturday night out!

Morean Art Center is a free art gallery in Central Ave. You can browse the exhibits and this…read morelocation is perfect when walking around to adore the art as well as get some a/c or escape the rain when it's raining. It's a great spot. They also have classes for art here. The art projects/classes are for the kids, as well as camps. They appear to be free also, but u Have to sign up. That's a great way to get some activities for the kiddos. These are held on Saturdays. They also have a Morean Art of Clay, Glass, and The Chihuly Collection. Those are separate locations. The Chihuly has a fee, and I'm not sure about the Clay and Glass. I still have I check those out. But there's so much art in St. Pete, & I sure love it! This Morean Art Center also has a gift shop so perhaps you can find something you would like to buy here also.
