Also, they don't have many storefront hours since they seem to do most of their business online and via catering (and a cute, vintage truck). But on Saturday I was able to pop in and get a box of fresh ones, and they're the best macarons I've ever had! Most macarons look the same, but you can spot some fanciness in these, and you can really taste them when they're fresh, so flavorful! I wound up putting most of them in the freezer for later, and it turns out that if you do that and let them defrost for an hour, they are delicious that way. My favorites so far are the orange/chocolate, the strawberry shortcake, and the marshmallow flavors. These are an appropriate offering for a party or event that's kind of special. And as they are fond of pointing out, macarons happen to be 100% gluten-free. Although I went to their nice shop in St Paul, you should look for them at Surdyk's or at Nadia Cakes. Super tasty!

Don't make a rookie mistake like me! These are refrigerated when you first get them. Let them come to room temp before you eat them! I had some of them right away and while they did taste good, they were REALLY good when they were room temp. These are delicate and delicious! These are definitely some of the best I have ever had! My top 3 flavors I enjoyed were: 1) Blueberry cheesecake 2) Almond 3) Raspberry I also got a soy candle and it is the perfect fall scent! Can't wait to burn it later in the year! They are only open from 9am to 1pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And both times I came it was close to noon and they were sold out of LOTS of things. I'm convinced that if you go there because you want something specific, you simply can't trust them to have it available. Instead of planning a specific visit, the wiser approach would be to give them a look if you're in the area during one of the 12 hours they are open in a given week, and see if you're interested in what they aren't sold out of. They have an indoor counter which you get to via the main entrance on 4th street, and guessing your way through the halls until you find them past that gallery. There is also a seating section which has the ambience of a break room at a DMV. But there is also an outdoor window on Saturday & Sunday, with some seats set up in the alley; that description sounds dicey but it's perfectly fine. My hope is that they improve on some of this to make for a more predictably positive experience!
