They were so incredibly kind and very personable. The inside was nice and green. The salads were some of the best and very filling. We got the chicken caesar no bacon with avocado and the crispy chicken. They were very kind, giving us our time and helping us decide what to get, and the flavors really come together. We will be back again this week.

Top tier salads! Creative recipes, friendly staff, welcoming vibes. As a vegan I very much appreciate the tasty soy curls and various options. Eating straight from the mixing bowl is an experience all its own.

    Fresh & crisp ;)

This is the tastiest way to detox, cleanse or to temporarily tell yourself healthy is good when recovering from a heavy weekend. The greens are always fresh and crisp. Unashamedly extra dressing is always a must. Probably the one meal that does not pair well with beer so for that reason there is an added health benefit to wash a meal down with carbonated water once in a while. Service is welcoming and courteous and always quick to offer to-go utensils if needed. *Recommended ~ Greek to Me & Asian Chicken Salad.

Love that they wrote a little note.

Love the healthy options at thus spot! Ordered deliver and asked for lemon, they didn't have lemon slices but included some lemon juice. So thoughtful and appreciated.

They didn't bother hiding it even as they wrote my name on the package:

My first order from Crisp (Williams) was on 8/12/22 (around 6:pm) and I was extremely impressed with the freshness, the portions, the promptness and the friendly service. I was so impressed that I returned on 8/14/22 (around 6:pm) Boy, what a difference a couple days makes. I made the EXACT same pickup order and retrieved my salad within the exact same time table and I was served rotting greens and meager proportions relative to my first visit. Staff looked confused , wasn't friendly and didn't even bother to hide the brown greens in the middle of the salad, they literally left the brown greens on TOP where they were visible without me opening the package. Sadly I didn't view the salad until I got home so I'm out of $12 which I could have spent on greens and toppings from my grocery store for half the price.

The kind of place where you expect someone to be editing a documentary on a laptop made of recycled aluminum. Late afternoon visit, so the hipster crowd had clearly skateboarded back to their respective creative labs. I had the place to myself. Prime auditing conditions. First impression? This place is built for volume. You can tell. Efficient layout. Assembly-line potential. If bowls were a factory sport, this would be a playoff team. Ordered the Home Grown. Took a quick bathroom break. Came back and -- boom -- bowl was already on the counter. FAST. And it looked elite. Then I saw it. A generous dollop of peanut butter at the top, sprinkled with hemp seeds. I almost got emotional. It felt like flying over your hometown after months away. Familiar. Safe. Right. First bite? Delicious. Smooth. Creamy. Almost like frozen yogurt or soft serve. Easy eating. Crowd-pleasing texture. And then... I looked up. Another bowl was being made. The açaí base was coming out of a soft-serve machine. As a purist, this one hurt. I want hand-scooped. Blender-blade symphony. Crafted, not dispensed. I had a small internal crisis. But here's the problem: I really enjoyed it. So now I'm torn between my values and my taste buds. Would I go back? Yes. Would I wrestle internally again? Also yes. Rating 3.8 / 5 Açaí Berries Breakdown * Taste: 4.3/5 * Ingredients: 4/5 * Consistency: 4.5/5 * Purist Pain Factor: High * Speed: 5/5 Current Status: Machine-Made But Memorable Lesson Learned: Sometimes the machine wins. Entering the shop, you will be greeted by loud music. Be ready for that. You will have the option to dine outside, if the weather provides it and the seats are empty. The hosts are wonderful and very accepting with a positive attitude. Smiles and all. I ordered the Jim because it was the only sandwich I could eat. The majority of the sandwiches contain meat, so I would not recommend this for vegans or pescatarians. Jim was delicious and I consumed both halves of Jim flawlessly. Either hunger overruled me, or the sandwich was that satisfying. I do recommend the shop, but with limited options for non-meat eaters, I truthfully would rate Lottie and Zulas, 4.5. I was checking out friends' reviews on Yelp, and came across a review of Chef Agir Restaurant Bar…read more My friend gave a glowing review and I zoomed in on a couple of pictures. On a picture of the menu, I saw that there were quite a few items that were vegan. The description of the food sounded delicious! I instantly wanted to check this Turkish restaurant out! I also immediately thought of friends that lived in the neighborhood! I messaged my friends telling them I wanted to try this place out. Now, most of my friends have busy schedules, so it takes quite a while to coordinate. As luck would have it, 3 of us were available this very day! We arranged to meet at 1:15ish. While waiting for my friends, I got some complimentary Turkish tea, it was quite good. Then I put in an order for the appetizer sampler plate. The order arrived just as my friends did. They actually walked to the restaurant. The appetizer sampler consisted of Ezme, Tarator, Muhammara and Eggplant salad. Three of the four items were vegan the Tarator contained yogurt. My favorite was the Muhammara. My friends enjoyed the shared appetizer. It came with pita bread, and when the basket was emptied, we were asked if we wanted more. For my entree, I ordered the vegan Tantuni wrap with oyster mushrooms. The flavor was outstanding! My friends were both loving what they ordered. A friend also got the turnip juice. Said it was an interesting flavor, was not expecting that. The ambiance was casual but inviting. The service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious! I definitely plan on coming back again!

I recently stopped into Chef Agir for an early dinner, and it was a fantastic experience from a pedestrian's perspective. This spot first caught my eye because of the vibrant mural by Christa Grimm on the west wall, which was recently highlighted in a City Cast Portland newsletter. It is a wonderful visual landmark for anyone walking along NE 13th. Inside, the atmosphere is welcoming and the service is exceptionally attentive. I had a great conversation with the staff about the restaurant's growth since opening six months ago. While I usually view the city through a lens rather than a menu, the food was excellent and the space feels like a true community gem. Highly recommended for those exploring the neighborhood on foot.

Biscuit itself was so soft and so tasty! Coated with amazing and drooling rosemary-mushroom gravy. The potato cakes itself were crispy and tasty with perfect amount of saltiness with a side of sour cream, even better with their homemade hot sauce! The chicken-apple sausage is my favorite... cooked to its charred and retained some juicy inside the sausage, very tasty with potato cakes and scrambled eggs cooked to its perfection. I can't even complain as I wiped the plate clean. Very filling for one big plate. The service was quick and very friendly... very accommodating to food dietary restrictions if needed and very attentive to the table. The vibes there were friendly and opening. Basically very chill like it is on the street. Great spot in this nice artsy neighborhood across from a cool shop, Frock.

*3.5, rounded up*…read more Came for breakfast on Mother's Day with a reservation. Checked in ~5min early, and ended up waiting for ~15min past reservation time because the hostess did not let us know we had to check-in *again* when the person parking the car had made it to the restaurant. We ended up with what was, in my opinion, the worst table in the restaurant, after watching several parties of the same size seated at 'better' tables, all of which had arrived after the driver, who was there less than 2 min later (so still prior to scheduled time) after I was at the hostess stand, and we were seated waiting in direct view of the hostess. PLEASE be clear in your communication about this policy: it was neither clearly posted anywhere nor voiced - it wasn't a huge inconvenience, but I would have much preferred being sat in the main area. The restaurant areas are each different: the bar area itself is the least interesting: several seating booths and the bar, closest to the bathrooms. The main dining area has more seating, a fireplace and the self serve coffee bar - I LOVE this feature, and even saw a Wonderwood Springs mug. Shoutout to my favorite neighborhood merriment maker, Mike Bennett (if you haven't been there, go. Do the mini golf... but this review isn't about WW, so... moving on) We ordered a couple of adult beverages: the Bloody Mary was *fantastic* and I'm grateful to the server for suggesting to mix the two infused vodkas I was torn between. Hot peppered pickle was *chef's kiss* and gave me all the things I crave in a bloody: slice, twang, umami. The mix was the perfect consistency (nothing worse than a great tasting Bloody Mary that's too thick/thin), and it didn't get too watered down as breakfast went on. Baby Daddy's iced "Shed's on Fire" was... alright. The highlight was the espresso bean that he didn't even get because I stole it (Mother's Day... amirite?). I'm not sure if it was the 151 or if it's because I don't drink much anymore, but all I could taste was the alcohol, so I didn't feel it was very balanced - I would have preferred a more coffee forward taste, especially since our server said the iced version was made you cold brew. I had anticipated it being stronger in coffee flavor. I'm a sucker for anything crab, so when we were told the special was a crab cake Benedict, I was sold (so was my kiddo) - didn't really look at the rest of the menu, and if I'm honest, I'm kind of sad I didn't. It's not that the CCB was bad, but it was just alright/nothing to write home about. I couldn't tell if the crab used was Dungeness, fresh, or something from a can, there wasn't much flavor to the cake itself (it was honestly overpowered by the egg & hollandaise combination) and made me want to go home and try to make my own (Dungeness) cakes. The highlight of my breakfast was the grits, when they first came from the back: note to future me/the person reading this reciew: eat them first/fresh & hot- by the time I came back to them, they had cooled & congealed *sad panda* My son is a culinary student (has studied at Johnson & Wales) said the same thing about the cakes - lack of flavor, needs something additional, couldn't tell what type of crab was used, etc and was also disappointed. The highlight for him was the potato cakes, and I'm pretty sure he is going to try to replicate those at home now!! All in all, we weren't exactly disappointed in our Tin Shed visit, but I'm not sure it tops the list of our favorite Portland breakfast/brunch spots. I'm sure we'll come back, but next time I'll try something on menu and get a biscuit - those b*+ches looked dang amazing on everyone's plates as they walked out of the kitchen!!
