I have had many of their salad options, but I tend to go back to the San Pancho, which has a southwestern profile. Not a fan of avacado, I leave that out and ask for extra corn and black beans, along with the crisp Romaine, grilled chicken, crunchy tortilla strips and creamy Chipotle dressing, it's a combination of textures that create a flavor bomb. Some days I create my own. So easy. You pick a few types of lettuce, some veggie add ons, a protein and dressing. $10-11 for a salad is fine by me. Typically I only consume half for lunch and save the remainder for dinner. No matter which salad or warm bowl you choose, get a few Brazi bites! I haven't been here for a few years as I was living out of country. My favorite salad shop closed while we were away so I thought I would try Crisp again since it's in the hood. I ordered my salad and took it to go and made it a combo by getting the curry soup which is VERY good BTW. I was a little shook when I saw the size of the salad. I swear the bowls were bigger a few years ago, or more tightly packed. I requested medium dressing and TBH I wish there were more options for that because it was a bit too heavy and kind of watery. A decent amount of the bacon tasted pretty burnt. I was also bummed out that kale isn't on the menu as an option for greens. It holds up so well to dressing! I dont think I'd get a salad again, because $17 for something that is similar to a WF salad for like $10, and just wasn't a good value to me. I was so impressed that I returned on 8/14/22 (around 6:pm) Boy, what a difference a couple days makes. I made the EXACT same pickup order and retrieved my salad within the exact same time table and I was served rotting greens and meager proportions relative to my first visit. Staff looked confused , wasn't friendly and didn't even bother to hide the brown greens in the middle of the salad, they literally left the brown greens on TOP where they were visible without me opening the package. Had to add cheese for extra charge and the bacon bits were very hard. I don't even think it came with one hard-boiled egg they just sliced little pieces of it, spent $35 for just lettuce. I ordered via Caviar which is now very obviously run by DoorDash. I ordered a Beyond Cowboy and asked in the special instructions for it to be made into a wrap. I also requested through the app that if the order couldn't be made as requested, that the restaurant contact me directly as I had no interest paying $21+ for one salad and nothing else!! Of course, I receive the order, and it's a measly salad. There's also a handwritten note inside the bag saying they only do wraps through the direct website, not Caviar. This person either blatantly ignored my request or just didn't care enough to call and cost me $21 for disappointment. I called the restaurant, and they said the best they could do was let the owner know and MAYBE they'd contact me in a few days. Wow. Once again, way overpriced for sucky customer service. Learned my lesson once again. Beware because Caviar did not provide me a refund either. I'll definitely be disputing with my credit card company since this isn't even what I ordered or what I asked for. I wish the driver actually LOOKED at the receipt taped to the side of the bag and did their job! If I was in the restaurant, I imagine I would be treated more seriously. Beware. I also specifically asked for no utensils, and the restaurant dropped those in anyway. Please read your orders for the love of god. ***In response to the owner's message: When placing an order through the Caviar app, there is a dropdown that asks how the restaurant should handle the order if it is not possible to prepare per the request. There are several options including: 1) contact me directly, 2) cancel entire order, 3) have restaurant prepare something they think is similar. Like I said, I chose to be contacted directly, but that protocol was not followed, and it was a waste of my time and money to try and correct this issue. This Caviar dropdown denotes that the restaurant is AT LEAST responsible for letting the Caviar driver know that the order cannot be made to specification. That way, if the restaurant cannot contact me, AT LEAST the driver can so they can ask what I want to do. Instead, whoever prepared this order, failed to let the driver know and/or failed to contact me. They were clearly aware of the request since they dropped a handwritten note in the bag in response (picture attached). Crisp Salads is a great choice for a refreshing and filling lunch! My boyfriend and I had salads delivered to us via Door Dash in less than 40 minutes after placing an order. I had the "Hail to the Kale," which is representative of the restaurant name. The salad had crunchy textures and I was all for it! It was my first time trying tempeh (made of fermented soy beans) and I enjoyed how it was prepared. I wish there were more chickpeas because they were so tasty! The dairy free Caesar was tasty. My boyfriend had the "San Pancho" and cleaned his bowl, I am assuming it was tasty. Pros/cons Cons: -website needs clear allergen information. If you tout being friendly to a multitude of diets, clear ingredients in anything prepared is a must. Even the crispy chicken is confusing - for example, it's in several salads labeled GF but not specified when choosing it as an ingredient. Also, is there almond meal in this? Is it baked? Knowing the oil bases for the dressings would also be helpful. Full transparency, as it's health food oriented, would make infinitely more sense than the current mystery/deduction based model. Perhaps even including foods you never work with ie peanuts, soy, palm, etc. -The crispy chicken recipe needs improving - it seems like it's a gluten free crumb/almond meal mix that doesn't stay on the chicken and mushes/water logs immediately upon dressing. It's very soft and not anything close to crispy. I get it's cooked and stacked well in advance and might be crispier if it wasn't stacked until fully cooled - this texture was very gross. Pros: -The food and portions otherwise are just fantastic. It's all clean, fresh, and simple. I haven't met a dressing I didn't like and think they're actually quite good for all being DF (except bleu cheese which IS specified on the menu.) They're entree sized when plated and completely within the price range of a restaurant salad but instead of service, you get full customization. read more

My first time here and I thoroughly enjoyed it! You can order from the preset menu or build your own. I love the build your own option to ensure everything in the salad is enjoyable. Choose up to three greens (I chose field greens, spinach and kale) and five toppings, anything past that is extra cost (50 cents) as well as protein (pricing differs depending on what you choose, I chose the savory chicken breast). Almost everything can be customized, they even asked me to what degree I wanted my greens chopped (light-heavy). There are two sizes, big or bigger. I chose big and wasn't able to finish it in one sitting. There are so many options it's kind of overwhelming! BUT! for dressings, they let you sample the dressings so it makes your decision a little easier. They also ask how much dressing you want (light-heavy) with it mixed in the salad or on the side. I asked for medium dressing mixed in and could probably go for heavy next time as I couldn't really taste anything. It is a little spendy for salad but the biggest salad is honestly probably enough to share if you're planning to finish in one sitting. Crisp is a cute little soup and salad place. It looks and feels like a chain operation. You enter the place and there are all the salad ingredients along the long back wall with the staff ready to put together any and all ingredients you choose and toss them for you to produce the finished product. The list of ingredients is very extensive. And all the ingredients looked and felt very fresh. We both liked the listed ingredients for the Crispy Chicken Salad so that's we ordered. I also ordered a bowl of the Spicy Curry Soup (Yams, carrots, Ginger, curry, coconut milk) and it was very good. Best of all, it was at a nice hot temperature. Probably close to 130 deg F. And it was a good sized bowl. It's also gluten free and vegetarian. The Crispy Chicken Salad ( Romain, a arugula, fried chicken breast, roasted corn, fresh apple, feisty walnuts, pickled red onions and honey mustard dressing @ $14 each), was a disappointment. While it tasted good and the ingredients were nice and crunchy and very fresh, the hicken was definitely not crispy. And we were so looking forward to "crispy" that out expectation definitely was not met. Unfortunately, they serve Brazi Bites, which is available frozen at Costco and completely tasteless IMO. They were on Shark Tank and are making their way into grocery aisles, the size can fit into a Leprechaun's hand. I'm sure this is a good place for a healthy lunch. Yet, it feels VERY chain-corporate like (although it's not), reminds me of Freshii. The owner seems very proud of her business and was very professional when she reached out to me. The freshness made a difference with the greens while the chips added some crunch. It may not be healthy, but it tasted just right. An even better salad, though not any healthier, was the Cobb. It might be my go to order at Crisp from here on out because the blend of Romaine and Field Greens tossed with Chicken, Avocado, Bacon, Tomato, and Egg laced with Blue Cheese dressing was cobbtastic.
