I am do Disappointed with Noodles & Co. I usually order their Crusty Parmesan Chicken Alfredo. Size of dish is large. Tonight my chicken was overcooked so it was dry. I usually get 2-3 meals out of an order, so I extra sauce since the sauce is minimal to begin with, and the noodles absorb what sauce is there. I fight dry mouth, so when my food is dry I can hardly eat it. My husband likes the Chicken Parm and spaghetti and meatballs. read more

Title: "Noodles and Disappointment" Rating: 1/5 I don't know where to begin. Maybe with the overcooked noodles that tasted like they were boiled in the tears of regret? Or the fact that every dish on the menu somehow manages to look appetizing in the pictures but arrives resembling a culinary crime scene? I ordered the Pad Thai, expecting a flavorful dish. What I got was a bland, sticky mess that made me question all my life choices leading up to this moment. The noodles clumped together like they were holding on for dear life, and the sauce tasted like ketchup with a hint of despair. And the atmosphere buns. The portions are bizarre. One dish is enough to feed a family of five, while another is barely enough for a toddler. The breadstick? Harder than my life decisions, and just as tasteless. The service didn't help either. I waited 30 minutes for what felt like an eternity, only for my food to arrive cold. It's almost impressive how they managed to serve me something that tasted microwaved, yet lukewarm. For a place with "Noodles" in the name, I expected more. A trip to the grocery store and a pack of instant ramen would have been cheaper, faster, and infinitely more satisfying. Would've put 1 star but the service was speedy quick. The Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine, however, was terrible. Noodles were undercooked and seasoning was bland. Comparable to eating a bowl of plain noodles, straight out the box, at home and that's an understatement. One thing they did right, was the Caesar salad. read more

I had thoroughly checked out the online menu before my visit, deciding what I'd order for my first meal. Being a new joint in town, there was some anticipation before the first visit. Noodles offers lot of variety on the relatively simple menu, and a lot to contemplate. Soup, salad, bread, drinks, and which type of cuisine: Asian, Mexican/Southwest or American. Go check it out if you haven't already. When we arrived, it was quite busy, as expected. The staff was friendly enough, considering the chaos. They were obviously overstaffed, but everyone seemed to be occupied and doing something so it wasn't a bad thing. When you get there, you walk around the perimeter of the dining area to where they take your order. Once they take it, you get a number and your cups if you've ordered a drink, and follow the chute out where it basically leads to a drink station. There was a line at the drink station - like I said, it was busy. My husband and I each tried on of the brewed teas. I can't remember exactly what they were, but one was a black tea, and the other was green. I think they both had a fruity/flowery essence. Probably both had herbs infused in them, and NOT sweet. Nice, and blended well with the ambience of the place. Once we were seated, I had plenty of time to look around before our food was delivered. (It was busy and we probably waited over 15 minutes.) Upon reflection, it occurs to me the designer probably took the color of spaghetti noodles and built the color scheme off of it... there was one wall that was distinctly "spaghetti noodle" color, accented with greens, and rose and brown colors, all in that same muted and "organic/healthy" color group. The colors didn't dampen the noise though - but seriously, it wasn't as bad as HuHot or Chipotle noise levels. We could actually have a conversation here without much fuss. The staff was there but unobtrusive through the whole meal. No complaints on that front. So the food. I ordered Bangkok Curry. They asked, so I went ahead and added on the pork since it was my first visit and was curious if it would add to the dish. Don't bother - I think the Bangkok Curry stands alone. It doesn't need the heavy pork on it at all. Hubby ordered the Japanese Pan Noodles. We both enjoyed it and I LOVED the flavor of mine. The coconut with the curry and all the perfectly cooked veggies were just what I needed that day. Perfectly cooked and just the right amount. Yum. Hubby really enjoyed his too, and we decided in a month or two, we'd be back to try it again. I'll be after the Thai Curry Soup on my next visit. Or maybe the Pad Thai. So, all in all, it was a pleasant experience, albeit very busy. There's something on the menu to please every palate and the prices are reasonable - under $15 for a large meal for two. I'm giving it four stars because I only give 5 to the places that WOW me. Very much enjoyed this, but wasn't WOWed. read more

I stopped in here for lunch because I forgot to pack one. I ordered the Penne Rosa because I looove the spicy tomato basil sauce, and it was tasty as usual. What really made this location great was the amazing service. For a casual sit-down restaurant, I felt like the service here was far superior to the service at the Overland Park locations. I'm not sure if this is a new thing Noodles & Company is trying out or if it's just like that at the Topeka location but I was very surprised! The cashier who took my order was patient, friendly and seemed like he enjoyed working there. The runner was the same way. He came back a second time to ask me how I liked the food and if there was anything else (sriracha, soy sauce, etc) he could get me. Drove past this place this afternoon and thought I'd try it out. The menu was very easy to navigate. We ordered several dishes and were pleased with them, but my personal favorite was the Japanese Pan Fried Noodles with Steak. Very tasty! The Cheesy Garlic Toast was also very delicious. The Pene with Grilled Chicken and Fresca with Grilled Chicken were also good. The staff was very friendly and professional and the dining room was very clean and quiet. First time being here! It was soooooooo delicious ! Lots of food to choose from here. The cashier was extremely helpful in helping me to decide what to get and how to order special request items. I ended up getting the Bangkok rice noodle bowl which had rice noodle, but I had it "in the buff" which added more spinach and had only half noodles for a lighter, healthier option. Also had the Thai soup which was a curry broth with rice noodles. I would most definitely come here again and try several items on the menu. Went here for dinner tonight with my softball team. Arrived at 6:45, three bowls have been served and I'm pissed. The service is horrible, the employees look like they are in no hurry whatsoever. A huge line has formed for take out orders behind our team and I can't even figure out what the issue is because no food is being served. In an hour and fifteen minutes. Disappointing off the bat, broken oily stroganoff sauce. The Japanese pan noodle with added chicken and extra broccoli had zero chicken and little broccoli. It is clearly just made in advance buffet food that they assemble and serve. The "steak" is a lot like the crap in Taco Bell food. The fajita chicken they brought later was clearly pre-cooked, and stored cold then reheated on demand. Which adds to the disappointment because it takes only a moment to cook fajita chicken fresh from raw. Topeka ruins yet another good concept with poor execution. read more

I have been here twice with friends. The first time I ordered the chicken noodle soup. It was lukewarm and greasy. Next time I ordered mac & cheese. Had lunch today with my wife and grand daughter. our first visit. My daughter told us she had visited other Noodle Company Restaurants and loved them ?? So we tried it. It was about 2pm, less then 6 people were eating. I tried the Korean hot and spicy noodle dish with a side of the 5 Korean meatballs...THE MEATBALLS WERE LIKE RUBBER, the meat in the Korean Noodles was tough, (Water Buffalo Meat ?) my wife had Spaghetti and meatball and her meatballs were also tough, Appeared to have been over cooked in a Microwave... Not sure if this is just at the Topeka Kansas Store or the folks who were preparing the food,, Anyone in the food service business would have known the meatballs were tough, couldn't hardly cut them with a fork... the noodles were ok but also tough.. Sorry... I would never go back to the Topeka Restaurant but would try another location someday.......... read more
