Horrible customer service and misleading menus. The menu display fried rice with all means an says with sauce and drink. But they charge you extra for fried rice instead of steamed and a drink. The sign literally says sauce and drink under the price for each combo price. And when you bring it to the it attention they act as if you're trying to get something free. Hi Good afternoon, please avoid this place at all costs . I was charged for the hot oil and that's fine . But as I asked why I couldn't be given a complimentary I was Bombarded with rude answers and snotty comments , the girl attended was Hispanic and had a piercing . I wasn't being cheap I was simply asking . So when I arrived and took off with my plate in a polite manner , I said thank you and everything . When I got home my plate was purposely only fillled halfway . Worst employee ever! A short, small brown guy with gold highlights and tattoos. He's not a very smart guy. They had 10 pieces of chicken under the heat lamp and it was a 30 minutes wait for fresh chicken. I asked to taste a piece and told him if I did not like it I would pay for it and if it was fresh enough I would order a 8 piece but he would only give me 7 pieces. This guy could not understand the concept and wanted to charge me for the 1 piece and then charge me for the eight pieces. My family loves the food here and have been coming here for almost 3 years now. However my last visit completely changed that !!! They have a new older guy in his late 40's tatted from the neck down working the front and the entire night while I was trying to order he was talking to my 15 year old daughter asking her for her snap chat and complimenting her and after she proceeded to tell him no thanks I let him know she's only 15 he responded with " what's age got to do with it " absolutely disgusting!!!! I give this place a solid 3 stars. The reason for this is because the place doesn't look the best, doesn't smell the best in there but the food is decent. I ordered just the chicken & rice. They have a combo option with a drink but I just wanted the chicken & rice. Another reason for the rating is because I had to wait on the chicken and obviously the rice had been cooked and was waiting. By the time the chicken was done, the rice was cold. When they scoop it out with a ice cream scooper, that further lets you know it's been sitting for a while but it's rice so what can you do. Now the chicken came out hot! I was lucky and got a fresh batch. This chicken is made tempura style. I went with the hot sauce but you may want to try the sweet & sour with it. The seasoning on it is solid and the chicken was tender and juicy. Once again, keep in mind that is batch just came out. I'm still happy with the way the chicken tastes so that part I would give 5 stars. The tempura was crunchy and not overbearing. I can see myself returning to this little hole in the wall if I want something quick. The service was very good as the lady who helped me was very nice and had a smile the whole time. The sign was still up stating it was the grand opening. Hopefully the next time I return, they will have worked some kinks out. Intro- Being around the garland area and having a lot of friends there, they were the ones that introduced me to this place. All I can say is that you gotta get... The crispy chicken and rice of course! Service- ordered at the counter and that's basically it. I can say that out of the couple of time that I have gone, the food has always been out in a flash. Nothing extraordinary and nothing that was poorly done so always gotta give ups to that. Food- Yo. Just get the chicken and rice. I know they have a variety of stuff but I'm sorry, I can't seem to try and get anything else when I come in. The chicken strips are just this crunchy, juicy, SUPER OILY, and awesomely unhealthy thing of awesomeness. And to accompany it, you MUST get the hot sauce! That stuff is actually spicy and is just great with the chicken! But seriously though, with all of that oil and spicyness, you gotta have a nice cold beverage by your side. As for the rice, the consistency is just like your average Mexican rice... Except a bit different? It's kinda piece-y if that makes sense? Kinda wish it had some more pizazz to it with a lot of veggies or something but either way, it's a nice contrast to the chicken. Conclusion- all in all this place is awesome for just stuffing your face in a crap ton of cheap, unhealthy, but totally awesome chicken strip/nugget things. The price is really great and my friends and I usually get 30 pieces, rice, and a lot of hot sauce along with some drinks. When I was a kid, practically every year we'd go to a place called Chicken N Things before hitting up the State Fair. Growing up, I don't go to the fair as much and that area of Dallas is wayyyyy out of the way for me. Why do I mention all of that? The first bite of the chicken tender reminded me of Chicken N Things. The chicken strips were moist and tender, plus you have your choice of hot sauces. Some have a bit more batter than others, but I don't have any issues with that. The rice was okay. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place, we got here at 11:15 and I ordered the Pican Chicken, which the lady promptly informed me that they were out of, right after they open? So instead I order orange chicken, my boyfriend ordered sweet and sour chicken. We waited until 11:55 for our food, FINALLY got out, and when we got home the food didn't even taste like what we ordered. The sweet and sour was not that great, and the orange chicken was grilled chicken with vegetable, no orange flavor at all. Place was kind of nasty and to sit down we had to take the chairs off the tables.
