Their freshly baked dough cones are amazing -- lightly browned, soft and chewy; the perfect vessel for their soft serve. Their specialty cone rotates each month, and their specialty soft serve flavor changes weekly. We've loved all of their flavor combinations! Their staff is always welcoming. As you're walking by you can see them making these cones, looks amazing. Didn't wait for too long before they called my name! It came in a cup, I got the cone (which was warm, mix between a churro and a cinnamon sugar donut, what is not to like about that!). Nutella inside the cone, Vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream, topped with almonds. Ice cream was creamy and not overly sweet which went perfect with the cone. I eat ice cream at a very good pace so no melting problem with me! You order and pay on one of the 2 iPads, then they call your name when it's ready. Again, a great idea in that they make the cones fresh and you can see the work being done. The problem is, the ice cream itself is average at best. The worst part is the mess. The warm cone mixed with ice cream is a disaster. Everyone we saw had more ice cream on their hands and on the floor than in their mouth. It's just frustrating and we saw multiple people literally scoop off half the ice cream and throw it away. We were extremely excited to try the new Crispy Cones, as it is only 3 minutes from the house and we had heard so many good things about it. In fact, we didn't get even get experience them for 3 trips because the first 2 visits there were lines out the door! But, after all that waiting and anticipation, the best I can say is, meh. Don't get me wrong the cone itself is very good. Light, fluffy, and we had the specialty biscoff flavored cone which was rolled in crushed biscoff cookies. But everything else was barely enough to even speak about. The soft serve is mediocre at best, nothing to write home about (there are local places with better soft serve cones for $3). And then when you get "toppings", I expect to have a reasonable amount of them. Well, the biscoff "topping" on the ice cream was 4 little chunks they put on by hand. Very disappointing, especially considering you're paying over $8 per ice cream. Overall, I would say Orlando has some really great, local options for ice cream and this just isn't one of them. I was told you can purchase the cones on their own, so maybe that's the best way to experience them and put your own ice cream and toppings inside at home. read more

The texture was fine but it did not seem to have a lot of chocolate flavor to me. You get a cup that they place the cone in which is helpful as when the ice cream melts it goes through the cone. So definitely keep that cup in place. The cone was good, sort of a cinnamon sugar pastry that was slightly mushy from the melted soft serve. There were 3 of us so 3 cones with a small tip was $30. My only criticism, and it's a personal opinion thing, is that the spread choices were peanut butter, Nutella and cookie butter, I am not a fan of any of those and would have liked maybe a fruit/jammy kind of spread.
