Exactly What a Dental Practice Should Be After two very difficult experiences with previous dental offices, I had honestly become skeptical that I would ever find a dentist I truly trusted. Dr. Cristina Gamboa and her team completely changed that. From my very first appointment, I could tell this office was different. Dr. Gamboa is incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She takes the time to explain everything clearly, answers every question, and makes sure you understand your options before moving forward. What impressed me most is her integrity. I never felt like treatment recommendations were driven by anything other than what was medically appropriate. She carefully explained what needed to be addressed, what could safely wait, and worked with me to develop a treatment plan that made sense for both my long-term dental health and my budget. At no point did I feel pressured into expensive or unnecessary procedures. Linda, who manages the front office, is equally exceptional. After my previous experiences, I had a lot of questions about insurance, billing, and treatment estimates. She never made me feel like I was asking too many questions or wasting her time. Instead, she patiently worked with my insurance company, explained my benefits, helped me understand my options, and made sure I had the information I needed before making any decisions. One of the biggest differences between this office and others I've visited is the level of transparency. Everything is explained clearly, costs are discussed openly, and you feel like you're part of the decision-making process rather than being told what to do. I always felt respected, informed, and cared for. The entire office is warm, professional, organized, and genuinely kind. After my previous experiences, I didn't realize how much I had been dreading going to the dentist until I found this practice. They completely restored my confidence. I have been seeing Dr. Gamboa for over 10 years. She is very thorough and honest. For the past two years, I had to switch to a different dentist due to a change in my insurance, but I was not satisfied with the other dentists who always attempted to offer me costly, unnecessary treatments. I switched back to a PPO plan and am now back with Dr. Gamboa. Since the COVID lockdown, I have moved and her office is a bit far from me, but I still choose to go to her because she is the best dentist! read more

I had a cleaning here with dirty equipment and ended up in the hospital with a blood infection. Steer clear of this practice. An update on this review. 2022. I had to review my hospital records for an upcoming surgery. The severity of what happened to me was not made clear to me till recently. After reviewing my hospital records further I had a severe blood infection and sepsis from getting a dental cleaning from this office. I could have died and should have filed a lawsuit and sued Christina Gamboa and her practice. I chose not to as I had a three year old child and was so severely ill and damaged by the experience that I just wanted to move on. I warn all to stay away from this facility and thoroughly check the cleanliness and reputation of any dental hygienist you see. I would also like to say that I had no health issues prior to this whatsoever. I am a healthy person in their early 30s. What this office put me and my family through is atrocious. And for Christina to make it sound like I was ill prior to this speaks further of their poor care and lack of accountability. read more

Dr. Cristina Gamboa has been my dentist for about three years. She is a conscientious and skillful dentist. I have had fillings and crowns done by her and the work has been high quality. I love her office!! It is homey and bright. Each room is immaculate with special air cleaners. The rooms have windows that look out into a very nice and serene quad with flowers and plants. Her staff is very friendly. I enjoy talking with them. I never thought I would say that going to the dentist is a fun experience but it is. All right, there are more fun things to do, but Dr. Cristina makes sure that my experience is comfortable and social. read more

I have seen Dr. Gamboa several times since my initial visit. She changed my old silver fillings into nice white ones that look so amazing and natural. I have kept up with cleanings every 4 months. Love this office and staff. Everyone is so nice and friendly and makes you feel so welcomed. Puts anxiety at ease. You won't regret giving Dr. Gamboa a chance. She's awesome!!!! Oh and did i mention she doesn't double book? I've been seen at my appointment time every time. And she's amazing at injections! I didn't even feel it. She said she would put some gel before she gives the shot to numb it and it was great! All my visits were pleasant and I can honestly say I don't mind going to the dentist anymore. Dr Gamboa is not only a wonderful dentist she and her staff are also wonderful people. I go in for a cleaning twice a year and get greeted like family and treated like family as well. She has also done fillings. filling removals and new fillings and root canals on me..... and with the most recent work I didn't even whine about not getting a Vicodin RX because she did such a perfect job I didn't feel a thing after the novocain wore off!I moved to the city from a small town where everyone knew everyone- and everyone always did their best. It took me years of dealing with bad dentists to finally find a great one in Dr Gamboa. This is not new. I started coming here over 6 years ago.. I just don't yelp much..... and since she is so amazing- and her staff so nice... I signed on for the first time in years to write this review Also.. and this is the best thing... SHE HAS TINY HANDS!! The dentist in the town where I grew up had gigantic hands! When I go back to visit-- seriously-- a lot of friends and their parents are starting to look like the JOKER because they have had serious dental work from a guy with hands almost as big as Kawhi Leonard!!!! I have spent more than a minute at this office fixing an array of dental problems. Dr. Gamoa, Johanna and Annie are beyond professional. They really care. The office takes safety to a new level and there is never a speck of dust on the floor. Dr. Gamboa is very gentle and truly cares for her patients- she is happy to give useful advice for anything from chapped lips to taking Vitamin C. I had an emergency over the weekend and she opened up the office just for me, on her day off. I have problem teeth and have been to many dentists in my life. Dr Gamboa saved me 1000.00 plus dollars, old dentist tried to make me be convinced I needed a Crown on a back Molar, she came back and said Why ?? She said all we needed to do was drill deep and get to the cavity. Its been over a year, the tooth is holding up very well, It cost me after Dental insurance 0.00, Thank you Lakeside Health. It's never a good time to visit the dentist but with Dr Gamboa, it's actually a pleasant experience. Her office is tucked away in a nice part of Glendale - plenty of parking and easily accessible from the 134. Her staff is wonderful. Nanette is always a joy to speak with and is manages the schedule well. Dr Gamboa is always concerned with your comfort level and makes sure the patient isn't suffering on her chair.
