My parents took their puppiedog to this groomer and the results were devastating. Their puppiedog ended up with popped blood vessels in the eyes, shaking and just wasn't the same. Came here to get my sweet girl a sanitary trim. Trusted these people. Found this on her BACK. Which was not what was supposed to be touched w any tools. She ended up going to the vet multiple times since then and it still hasn't healed. This has costed me over 400$ at the vet. Additionally, my cat is the sweetest cat ever. Vets have never had any issues and this place was trying to tell me she was "a two person cat". The only time she has ever acted bad was if someone hurt her. This is the second time we've used this groomer, the first time both of our dogs had minor skin irritation on sensitive areas of their skin, but it was not serious. This second time we used their services and I truly regret that we did. One of my dogs just recovered from surgery and we were excited to finally have her hair cut. After this haircut, she now has a raw infected ear because of how they cut the hair. She is in obvious pain and doesn't know why her ear is bloody, swollen, and has puss. My other dog also has raw skin on his belly and private part. They both look so sad and it hurts to know that we did this to them by bringing them to this groomer. This place is horrible! My first time bringing my dog here about 3 days ago. Understanble due to Covid-19 I wasn't allowed inside, signed papers and left my dog with them for about 3hours. After picking him up I notice he didn't want to be touched, didn't think anything of it. Do not take your dog here. This is the worst dog groomer! We took our golden doodle here for a trim. Gave very specific instructions of what we wanted. We did not want the usual poodle look. Our dog HAD long hair. We asked them to trim her. Not to shave her nose. They cut her hair VERY short and shaved her nose! When we told them this is not what we wanted they said that this is what we told them. They said they owned up for shaving her nose because the owner forgot to tell the groomer not to shave her! They never apologized! They just wanted to argue with us that this is what we told them. Absolutely no customer service! They literally did not care about how we felt. Also the place is very dirty! My wife and I have taken our Boxer / Pit mix to no less than a dozen places to have her washed, nails trimmed, etc. We have paid WAY more than we thought was necessary at several places. The places that we did find, couldn't trim her nails, or found some other excuse not to do a complete job as she is a rescue animal, and was abused by her previous owner. She is difficult at times for strangers to deal with. Today the Heavens opened and we found Critter Care Grooming on North Tenaya. Everyone was wonderful, professional, and friendly. They gave her a bath, cleaned her ears, teeth, AND were able to trim her nails, all for the INCREDIBLY low price of $40. The staff all know how to treat special cases like our puppy and were eager to get the job done, properly. I really hope that this is not filtered because I've gone here for years and loved it. I swear they use to love doing what they did and now it just seems like they don't care about anything. I use to bring my dogs( 2 dogs) all the time. When I was bored and didn't spend money for a while, my babies would get bathed and groomed just because. I looked forward bringing them in here because they were well taken care of and the receptionist was nice. My last experience however changed my mind about the place. The prices went up, not a big deal. As long as my baby is clean and the job is how I like it and I love how they groomed my dog, I didn't mind the price hike. They didn't take too long and they did a great job all around, I would have waited and even if the job wasn't perfect, again I wouldn't have cared! That's how much I loved this place. What really really got under my skin is the completely unprofessional and lack their of common respect for a dog parent!!! How dare you sit their and talk crap about my dog in front of a potential customer, that you don't know is my friend, that is sitting in your own lobby!!! How dare you sit there and talk crap about a dog and think that it's okay. I took my dog in to get her nails cut and my my dog was trying to bite her so they put a muzzle on her. My dog then got muzzle off and i told her shes difficult she said its ok. Then my dog tryed to bite her again and she started shaking my dog. I told her what she thought she was doing and her answer was she was trying to bite me. I told her you dont treat my dog that way. This place should get NO stars for 3 big reasons!! 1. I understand it is a grooming place, but this place was disgusting! If you're going to have a business at least try to keep it clean. The floors seemed that it hasn't been mopped in years, animal fur was scattered all around the environment, and the cages where they kept the animals smelled disgusting. 2. The workers/ groomers were extremely rude and don't give a shit about the animals. As soon as I enter the building the "owner" Cindy was yelling at a small dog because the dog kept crying when she kept nailing down his nails. When I received my cat back, the lady shaved my cats fur with so much force they cut him. If you're going to be a groomer be gentle, idiots I swear. One of the groomers did not greet me. They just said, "what do you need?". Cindy the "owner" yells at her employees. I'm surprised the teenagers that worked there hasn't called hr. 3. OVER PRICED TBH! I just asked for a shaved cat and showered. They charged me $65!!! Ridiculous! They didn't even tell me how much it was going to be until I showed up to pick up my cat. I AM NEVER LEAVING MY PETS HERE! I wouldn't be surprised if they abuse their clients pets. I advise future clients to find another groomer. read more

I'm so disappointed and angry. My boy was there for almost 3 hours yesterday. Dropped him off just before 9am and picked up at 12pm. He's never had to stay at a groomer for that long. Something had me not feeling good about it. When we got home he would not let me touch his ears or or grab his face up to look at me. He would Yelp and still does. Looked in his ears and pus was in his ears. This morning it's 10x worse. There's pus and a little blood. It's in both ears. I feel horrible bringing him there. I specifically asked when picking him up how he was. The lady said he was fine. She asked me why I asked that question. Told her because he was really nervous being dropped off. He was shaking. He never did that with his other groomer before. It should have been a red flag to me, but thought it was just because he didn't go in a while. Cindy expressed my dog's anal gland wrong and it ruptured and my poor dog bled to death. She didn't apologize or say she was sorry. Cost me $1000.00 in vet bills for x-rays and the vet to tell me that my dog is bleeding to death and dying. I never gave her permission to express my dog's glands. She should ask first. She also doesn't look her customers in the eye and she rarely speaks to them. She surely is hiding something. Cindy is a bad person. Don't bring your pets here for grooming.
