I regret hiring Critters Control for iguana trapping. They charged us $800 for what was supposed to be a week of service, but in reality it was only 5 days because their technician closed the traps for the weekend and told us they "don't work Saturdays or Sundays." The service itself was extremely disappointing. The technician, David, set up a rat glue trap and two metal traps but brought no bait at all, even though fresh fruit is necessary for trapping iguanas. My husband had to provide mangoes and bananas himself. Each day, David would stop by, spend less than a minute looking at the traps, leave without refreshing the bait, and call it a visit. When asked about a "plan B" since nothing was being caught, his response was essentially that there was none. We tried calling the company several times with no response. Eventually, we spoke with Erwin and then Jose, who both apologized and admitted the technician was unprofessional for not bringing bait. They promised a follow-up but never called back. Instead, at the end of the "7-day service," David simply returned to remove the traps--still empty--without offering any solution. To make matters worse, I checked on Amazon and found the exact same traps for under $100 total. So in effect, we just rented two empty traps for $800. No results, no effort, no communication, and no professionalism. I strongly advise against using this company. Save your money--there are far better and more honest options out there. read more

I couldn't sleep knowing a raccoon was crawling in my attic, scratching away at all hours. Critter Control handled the problem by sealing entrances and even crawl spaces where mice came in and out. They were always on time and attentive to my nerves. Thank you! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the worst company/vendor that I have ever hired. The service requested was not successful. A complete waste of money. On top of that the full service that was paid for never got completed. It took weeks of trying to get them back to finish. The manager Jose is worse than the techs. "Forgets" to call you back, and "forgets" to make appointments. The techs say they will be on site a certain day and time only to consistently be late or not even show up. I literally had to chase these people around to get the service we paid for. Run from these people and go with another company. Terrible.! read more

Tried to charge us a ridiculous amount of money to get fid of a problem we did not have. Had them come in to check something and they said we had rats in the attic. We turned down their high priced contract and called another company for a second opinion and there are absolutely no rats or rodents at all. they even did a complimentary trap just to see and nothing. $2500 rip off avoided. read more

***BEWARE***Last week while I was traveling for work, my wife noticed the smell of a dead animal coming from our daughters room. Critter Control was contact and came out. The Consultant forced my wife to pay IN FULL $2,500 or he would not remove the animal. Part of the charges was something called "Full Exclusion Repairs". Listed in scope of work was a bunch of work that WAS NOT completed. This is some of the most unscrupulous business practices I have ever seen as long as I have lived in South Florida. They flat out lied about the work performed and took advantage of desperate mother. read more

Their customer service is atrocious. I had them come out to deal with a rat problem a few years ago. All went fine. Fast forward to now and we have rats again. I call them to come back and I am told because I did not sign a contract with them and pay a yearly fee they would charge me $120 just to come out and asses the problem. I spend over $1k the first time they worked at my house but I was not charged for the initial inspection. I had no problem paying for the actual work but charging to simply asses the problem is ridiculous. They basically punish returning customers, not sure how that business model makes sense. I asked to speak with a manager about it as I found this policy to be unfair and never heard back from anyone. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I called another company (rat experts) who charged me nothing to come asses the issue and he found a huge hole in my roof that critter control completely missed when they did the first repairs. He also showed me photos of where they cut out a piece of my roof and instead of putting it back properly when they were finished and sealing it, they just wedged the piece they cut back in the hole. This resulted in a leak and water damage to 2 stories of my home. Do NOT use this company- they over charged me the first time, did sloppy work, and didn't fix the rat problem. read more

Very unhappy with this company! The quick responsiveness at first made me happy, but it all went downhill from there. Noah came in to assess rodent activity and couldn't guarantee whether or not there was any. He was dirty, smelly, and clumsy; he banged up a couple of my interior walls with his ladder and refused help when given. He asked my husband what he did for a living BEFORE giving us the astronomical estimate of close to $2000. That's a red flag. We decided against hiring this company for the job, but instead opted for bi-monthly pest control. Oh boy! What a mistake! The pest control didn't work at all. I still have carpenter ants outside and in the house, and a slew of other insects/pests that are apparently not covered under their service (i.e. silver fish, plaster bagworms, etc.). My front closed-in porch has problems with insects swarming the lamp there along with mosquitoes and moths, and even though Brandon sprayed the area, a few days later they were back. The price and the quality of work isn't up to par. Looking for another company ASAP!! read more

This website shows "DEAD ANIMAL ODOR AND REMOVAL" and a subheading that states "We'll clean up the mess". I found a furry dead animal in my back terrace (an area used for storage) and called Critter Control. I was quoted $189.99 for the removal of the animal by a very nice lady. A very nice young man came and removed the dead animal. I did not see him bringing in any disinfectants or cleaning materials, so I questioned him and he stated that the charge was ONLY for the removal. I asked if there'd be additional charges if I wanted the area cleaned and he said they did not do that, that all I needed was to put some Clorox on the floor. I paid my $189.99 and later called the company. The lady at the office told me she had quoted for the removal only. It's not what the website says! Misleading advertising!!!! read more

I've used CC several times since moving into my house in 1992. There must be something really special about my crawl space bc possum just seem to love it. Critter Control is quick and efficient and they dont quit until you reclaim your sleep! I would have given them 5 stars except that it's not cheap. Granted, it's hard to put a price on one's sleep (or sanity) but I do remember feeling disheartened by the thought that I'm going to get a big bill every time I hear the scratching in the middle of the night. All in all, a solid company and the only one to call if you have a pest in the house that you want gone but not necessarily dead (and no, they don't remove spouses). read more

We had a rat problem in our attic in 2015. When our attempts at getting rid of them by ourselves, we called First Solution Pest Control. They put traps and bait around the house and covered our exterior roof pipes with chicken wire and tie wraps. It took care of the problem temporarily. We live in an old home that has been renovated several times. Our rat problem recurred last year, but now IN THE HOUSE, and we kept putting traps and catching rats, but they kept coming! Then we called Critter Control. Our rep, Thomas, was amazing, as was the 'house closing' crew, Steve and Nathan. This company is expensive, but you get what you pay for! They found the openings that the rats were coming through (that the first company did not). We opted for the smoke test to see if we had broken pipes. They found 2. The openings in the attic and under the kitchen sink were from prior renovations where the PVC pipes were not capped. In addition the tie wraps from 2015 had broken and the wire had flown off. Critter Control uses metal tie downs. I would you them again, but don't think I will have a reason to! read more

After internet search I contacted Critter Control to help me with a very frustrating Raccoon problem in my backyard/swimming pool. Response was good and scheduling was easy enough. Once the technician, Carlos Idiaquez, showed up with the traps I was beyond happy I had called CC. Some friends suggested we trap the animal ourselves but, Carlos patiently explained why Raccoons show this behavior and why it was better that I called CC's services to complete the trapping/removal professionally. His thorough knowledge of what to expect, his passion for the safety of the animals and professionalism blew me away. Raccoon was trapped and removed! Carlos was THE BEST!! read more

Critter Control got the job done!. My daughter, about a month ago, stated that she saw a rat in our garage. Truthfully, I did not believe her, until my wife saw it too a few weeks later. I called Critter Control. Carlos showed up later in the day, and after checking our garage and attic, decided to set traps in both areas. Two days later, Cassandra came for the follow up visit. Effectively, one rat was caught. They left the other traps for about an extra week, visiting two additional times to check on them. Fortunately, no other ones went off. Very efficient. What a disappointing experience. The "specialist" came out at the end of the day, in response to a call about a rodent smell at 9 a.m., and spent a very brief time looking in the attic, before concluding that he didn't "smell or see" anything. The smell was so foul to everyone, with the exception of the specialist. After a mere 20 minutes, he stated he would come back the next day to check again. After returning, he spent 5 minutes in the attic and concluded that there was nothing. After continuing to smell a dead rodent, we decided to call another company. They found a large rat, within minutes. Critter Control charged $249 and provided nothing other than a service call. Don't waste your money or your time with this company. read more

I trapped a raccoon in a trap and called Critter Control. They wanted $130 to remove it. They came to my house and their 'specialist' proceeded to allow the raccoon to escape while trying to transfer it to her own cage. To my disbelief they wanted to charge over $200 to set their own trap and come pick up the raccoon once it was caught again despite the fact that I had already caught it once and was entirely their fault that he escaped. Total amateurs and even worse...over priced. Don't recommend. read more
