I discovered a stain in my ceiling and was told by the contractor that it was a urine stain, probably from a rat that had settled its family under the insulation in the attic. We had three different pest control specialists who inspected our attic and said that we had a big problem because there were dozens of signs of a major rat infestation of which we had no clue. I trapped a large rat -- about 13 inches tip-to-tip -- and was told that it was a common roof rat and that there were up to 100 already there and that number could double in less than two months. I am most impressed with Critter Control. A team of 5 men spent most of the day using extractor vacuums to remove-30-year-old compacted insulation from my attic and replacing it with a treated replacement. They used humane traps to relocate the breeding opossums damaging my duct work and repaired the damage. They also sealed all entry points around the house and roof. It was all done efficiently, professionally -- with attentive clean-up and follow up. Scratching sounds from your attic mean you've got a critter or two up there. Craig from Critter Control came out, did a complete in- and outside inspection, gave me photographs to show what kind of damage the rats were doing up in the attic and gave me several options. We love Mary! We had 4 or 5 snakes on our back porch and around our shrub beds. We have a lake that backs to our property and it is full of wildlife too!
