We have been working with Kay for many years. Starting in early 2010, our previous dog had several bad experiences with aggressive and inexperienced groomers. As a result, she had been traumatized and wasn't easy to groom. But Kay won her trust and ours. Aging animals have geriatric needs just like us. Kay's is very knowledge of these special need. She took special care of her problematic skin and ears. Sadly after 18 years it was time to say goodbye to her. I wish we would have had her as our groomer from the start. KOur the passing of our sweet fog, Kay was so sweet, she knew how hard this was on our family. She took to time to send a card expressing her condolences and letting us know she will miss our little girl too. After several months, we took in a very sweet shih tzu - Maltese puppy from a family that could not take care of her. There must have been a bad experience with grooming, because our new puppy, did not want us to brush her at all. But, once again Kay was able to win her over as well. Kay from Critters began grooming our 75 pound mixed shepherd, Gordon, in 1999. He loved her and even let her cut his toenails! Kay began grooming only smaller dogs years later but she still insisted on grooming Gordon because she loved him as much as he loved her! After Gordon passed away, Kay began grooming our new little dog named Walter. He only weighs 19 pounds but he is a poodle/maltese mix and needs a haircut and bath frequently. If we try to bathe him, he runs away. But, when Kay comes to groom him, he wags his tail and runs for her mobile grooming truck! He always looks perfect groomed when Kay is finished with him! Critters has been coming to groom our fiesty but cute canine for over 10 years. Kay's love for animals is apparent the moment you meet her and returns with every visit. We have always been very happy with our girl's haircut and think she even knows how much better she looks. Kay has to be the best groomer ever. She has been grooming my Maltese for almost 15 years. She found a lump and brought it to my attention immediately.
