I've taken 3 dogs here to be spayed/neutered. Let me first say I am appreciative of this service for our community. However, 2 of my 3 animals got kennel cough at this facility. And then my reasonable spay/neutered service turn into a very expensive visit to the vet because Critters without Litters refused to acknowledge that my dogs got it from there facility and refused to treat them. When i talked to them they told me that unfortunately some of the animals they take in are sick. They should be screening the sick dogs out. I ended up having to go to my vet to get antibiotics for all of my dogs. This was the second time it's happened to me that my dog brought home kennel cough from this place. My dogs live mainly in my home and i know with certainty that they did t get it from my home. I would recommend to spend the little extra money and go to a vet as it will save you money in the long run. read more

Took my dog here to be fixed and it came out great! No problems with the surgery. The only problem was that she came back smelling like pee, and I couldn't take her a bath when I got home because of the stitches on her stomach. So I had to deal with that pee stench for a while until the stitches healed. The wait was super long though. It was so crowded in the morning because people are dropping off and picking up their pets. But, at least they gave me a sedative medicine for my dog, so she doesn't feel pain. read more

The service that this place offers is so necessary in this town, and they perform it with the best prices and great customer service. They are efficient, kind, friendly and knowledgeable. I recently brought two rescued cats here to be spayed and was very pleased. The check in and pick up were both quick but thorough, I was in and out in under 25 minutes each time (much quicker than any time I have used a pricey full service vet for the same services). What a great organization. The prices are very affordable. They will provide your dog and cat with necessary shots if needed for a small fee. Very organized. Fill out some papers and drop of your animal at 8:00-8:30am and pick them up the next morning at 7:30. The staff is very friendly. If you have a pet that needs to be fixed, I would highly reccomend this place. This place is very busy, but also so incredibly priced! We rescued a kitten and wanted to get her spayed. We were told at our regular vet it would be $150 plus vaccines $75. We called here, recommended by a few different places, spay and vaccines were $50! Our cat was held for 48 hours to make sure she recovered well and was back to pretty much normal by the time we got her. The recovery was great and there were no complications at all! When it comes to our fur babies, we pet owners can be very particular! I recently brought my 5 month old kitten here for her first set of shots ($12) and again for her alteration. Notice I didn't post a price for the alteration. It can vary from dog to cat, gender, breed and their current grant status. We were able to get ours at a VERY affordable price and in addition, use a voucher from another local agency that supports altering your pets. The staff was kind, knowledgeable and efficient the three times I had to come here. They were very patient with all my questions and lack of knowledge on vaccines, etc. Customer service at its finest, which is a great way to be greeted when you're leaving your little baby with them overnight! I had no interaction with the vets who performed the surgery or any technicians who administered her vaccinations. Any time you have these specific needs for your pet, I recommend trying here! They also accept donations of common household cleaners for the care of their facility and animals. 10/10 would return, but you know, you can only fix your kitten once! Hehe read more

Had my 14 month old Katniss spayed here about a week ago..these people are true animal lovers! Intended on using their whole month of February special but appointments fill up quick! All told, the procedure, extra post op pain killers, and a rabbis vaccination set me back about $70- GREAT VALUE!! Drop off between 8-830am, p/u the next morning by 730 so they can clean & sterilize for the next bunch. Female cats have no external stitches, that's all internal so Katniss came home w/just a shaved tender belly but no redness, scabbing, or irritation at all. I highly recommend Critters as they cared for my baby Katniss better than I could've imagined. Tips; arrive early, use a hard carrier, throw in a small hand towel or something washable & comfy, & be prepared to make new friends! read more

Very friendly and helpful staff! I've taken my fur son here to get his annual vaccines, which were $12 each! Very pleased with the affordable cost. The amount of time spent at their office was also quick, I spent less than 20 minutes (as a walk in) to sign my pup in, and receive his vaccines! Walk in welcome (for vaccines, unsure about other procedures) until 2 pm Mon - Thu I will definitely be coming here again for all his needs. The only bad part would be their hours, I'm typically at work during their business hours, so I've had my mom take my little love in for me. read more

Terrible, my poor Maddy, went in with a small scratch on her neck, came out worse! Intake person and Vet Tech doing her exam were told to put the collar back on to keep her from scratching it, but it was ignored and got worse. The vet on staff didn't read the file and allowed it to get worse. They called to tell me that her neutering went well but they recommended treatment on the scratch for which Maddie was already under her own vets care for it but they made it worse. So after a heated discussion with the director about the need for better communication amongst their team to take care of my dog and everybody else's dog she hung up on me. They don't care about your pets nearest much as they care about their reputation in the image in the political correctness, wish they cared about my dog enough to read her file and take good care why she is there under there watch. What made matters worse this morning when I went to pick her up They had already given her to another family who was headed out the door until I stop them, who does that who gives away somebody else's dog to other people, totally incompetent and then the vet wanted to talk to me to smooth things over and I refused. They provide a great service they just have incompetent people who don't talk to each other and who don't care about the safety or the well-being of your pets while they are in their care. I'm glad I have a great vet for Maddie who take such great care of her and my other dogs read more

I am dealing with three dogs now who are fully vetted that got kennel cough after my female came back from a spay. I was suspicious that they were not properly cleaning their holding cages because she REEKED of a dirty kennel. I was also put off and should have went with my gut instinct that something was awry when they they didn't bother asking for proof of my dogs up to date vaccines during check in, which we had. If they didn't ask us they don't ask others and that is very concerning obviously. I am to blame not questioning why we were not asked for vet records but to be fair it was sheer chaos in that office. Shame on your practices. read more

I had a very positive experience here! I took my cat, full grown Doberman Pinscher, and Mini Schnauzer here to get spayed and neutered. The prices were more than reasonable compared to how much they charge where I am from. All my pets came home with no problems. I would go somewhere else! They are okay for vaccines but they recommended a preventative care for heart worms called Interceptor. The medicine also said it would remove hookworm, roundworm, and whipworm. My dog is now sick. I took her to the vet and she has tapeworms. I called critters without litters and she said Interceptor doesn't treat tapeworms...BUT Banfield in Petsmart has the Interceptor Plus that includes tapeworm care. I went to critters without litters because everyone kept recommending me to go there but I will not be taking future pets there. read more

I had my 6 year old female cat fixed here a few months ago and I was very pleased with their service. To get her fixed it was $50. I also payed $12 for rabies vaccination, $5 for an e-collar, and I bought medication but I don't remember how much that cost. The whole thing cost around $75. My cat was in heat at the time of her surgery but they did NOT charge me extra for that. Check-in was from 8:00-8:30 am and pick up is the next day at 7:30am. As far as healing goes, my cat was fine for the first day but when I started her on the medication, she started throwing up every time she ate. I called them, stopped her medication, brought her in, and they put fluids under her skin. From there, she healed perfectly and was back to her normal self. Note that they do NOT offer pre-operative blood tests to check liver/kidney function. Overall, I would certainly recommend this place for anyone looking to get their pet spayed/neutered. The staff is attentive, they take good care of your animal, and the prices are unbeatable. read more
