I am going vacation and my dog needed a vaccine. Could not get an appointment with Vet until fall!! Today we went to Critters without Litters to get his vaccine. It was very busy ( did not know they were closed for two weeks due to the weather. The personel were kind, helpful, and efficient. This is an awesome organization and support their upcoming fund raiser!

I had my Queensland neutered and my pug spayed here over the past couple of years. The check in process is a little chaotic but the prices make up for it. It took me about 45 minutes to an hour to check in both times, so be sure to arrive early and do your paperwork online to save time! Pick up is a little more smooth because there aren't a hundred dogs standing around at the same time barking at each other! One thing you should be aware of is that flat faced dogs cost more, but they didn't tell me that at any point during the scheduling and check in process. I only learned about this fee after I paid the original fee and they took my Queenie to the back room. I had to pay the additional $20 at pick up. The staff is so friendly and helpful and seem to really love animals! I wouldn't hesitate about leaving my dogs here because everyone is really alert and attentive. I would recommend coming here to spay/neuter your pets and to get vaccines and boosters!

Faith is well and ready to play fetch.

Smooth and easy check-in and out and loving and caring staff. Also checked in with a phone call on how my fur baby was doing.

Nice people, no appointment needed, and very inexpensive so show appreciation and give them a small donation if you can.

Amazing place! Super friendly staff, and amazing sevices offered. Our cat was spayed through here, and it was a great experience.

Ask the Community - Critters without Litters

Do you offer recovery cones or do I have to bring my own?

We provide e-collars. They are included in the cost of the surgery.

If I take my dog back due to getting an infection after getting fixed , what would the cost be?

No charge for a recheck, unless the doctor recommends additional medication that would help the situation. They want to make sure your pet is properly healing after surgery.

Can I make a 7:30am appointment for vaccinations or are they only offered during the clinic hours?

Does anyone know if they will loan a carrier in order to catch a cat? I have a cat I'd love to help. Do they help get or give meds if needed?

I called around 8:30 a.m. this morning to establish care for my two French Bulldogs and was told that they were accepting new patients but it would be a month out. The receptionist began collecting my information to create patient charts, discussed scheduling appointments for June, and was in the process of preparing the required $40 per pet appointment hold fee when the call was disconnected. When I called back later, a different receptionist informed me that the clinic was not accepting new patients and that I would not be able to establish care there. When I explained that another staff member had literally begun the intake process and was preparing to collect payment for appointments, I was simply told, "I don't know, but we're not taking new patients." The complete lack of communication and consistency was incredibly frustrating. Based on the glowing reviews, I expected a much more professional and organized experience. While I cannot speak to the quality of the veterinary care itself, the customer service and handling of front-office communication left a very poor first impression.

They can get extremely busy and it has gotten a little more challenging to get an appointment but I always commend the level of care and customer service we get from this place. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. They are also really good at following up on upcoming appointments or vaccinations due to make sure your pets are up-to-date. If you are looking for a vet center, as much as I'd like to gatekeep them, this is the place to be. Highly recommend them!

They gave him an IV and something to help him, but it was too late. He was in a lot of pain and I had to make one of the hardest decisions ever. They were patient, respectful, and helpful. I wish I hadn't needed to bring him in at all, but glad that since I had to, that it was here. My 15 y/o mix had been ill for some time. NOT HERE: First, we were told he had a mass, but most likely benign. I was hopeful and scheduled his appointment for a month out. He was not looking great, so I rushed his appointment to get it removed mid-June. They removed the tumor 6/24 but by then the cancer had spread to his lymph nodes. He's been home and being taken care of. Yesterday he wasn't doing well... I took him to a different ER because it was "more affordable" - big mistake because 12hrs later and we had not been seen. Yes, I paid a little more at VCA, but now I see why.

His vets office was not open on the weekends so we loaded him in my truck and took him to VCA on Saturday night. He was assesed and deemed "stable" and we were dismissed. I was shocked that they were not interested in trying to determine the cause of the tender abdomen or lack of appetite. The next morning (Sunday) he seemed worse.. Not really responding to any of his JOY triggers or favorite people. He was just hiding under the bed. So, we loaded him back up and went back VCA. Once again, after a 2 minute "assessment" we were refused treatment because they determined he was stable enough to go home and make an appointment with our own vet. I thought for sure that they at least run some blood work or obtain some imagery of his tender abdomen, but nope, nothing. By Monday morning he was lethargic and my vet was able to squeeze him in for treatment. They did labwork and an xray/ultrasound. Determined he had a huge stone in his bladder, and we were sent to the emergency vet on Easton. By this time, the numbers coming up in his labwork were pretty soul crushing.. He was in critical condition. The stone had blocked the bladder from emptying and that caused the bladder to rupture. We made the choice to end his suffering. I truly believe that if VCA would have performed an xray then they would have seen the blockage and would have helped him empty his bladder, preventing it from rupturing. PLEASE update your policy and use more thorough assessment. My dog would still be alive if he hadn't been turned away, twice, without a proper assessment.

I would say it takes roughly half an hour, talking over your family pet, as they calmly give your family pet a three step process. Dr Martin was very gentle with our family dog Miles and as we spent our last moments with him, she peacefully sedated him, as well as talked us through their process. Instead of putting your dog and your family through the stresses of a veterinary office definitely give A Peaceful Process a call. You can schedule your appointment online and the will work with your schedule. This isn't the easiest review to make but when it comes to your family pets calm and restful passing, as well as your mindset going through losing wha most would say is a member of your family, this is the way to go about that.

We were able to give Daniel lots of belly rubs and treats as he peacefully let go in our own home. He was well loved, lived a great life and thanks to Dr. Martin he had a very loving goodbye. From the moment Dr. Martin walked into our lives until that last goodbye as she drove our Daniel away, I knew we were in caring and capable hands. Best decision ever.
