I usually bypass the indoor option in excitement of waiting on my train. Amtrak is my fav to travel to and from New York City. The trains are on time 95% of the time, clean cabins, smooth ride, spacious bathrooms, comfy canteen, amazing employees, etc. I have also taken the train as far as Hampton, VA and it was a smooth, scenic, and peaceful ride. I am Amtrak's number 1 fan, and I look forward to many many more experiences riding the rails.

If you're hyper-sensitive about safety or time, then take an Uber or Lyft or call a buddy to pick you up. Otherwise, the light rail is at the far, far end of the airport and departs every 30 minutes. From BWI to Hunt Valley (end to end), the trip duration is 1 hour 20 minutes. The interior could use a tad bit of "modernization" however. The seating is a tad bit outdated and some chairs are broken. The bathrooms could use more ventilation. During the summer time. They definitely utilize the AC to the MAX which is a major plus. During the summer time the place is virtually an ice box. , During the winter time. Heat is definitely utilized. They have power outlets. Charged my e-bike a few times here while waiting for the train. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. One thing you'll notice is when the Acela passes by at high speeds. The station almost feels like the "I Love Lucy" episode where the bunk beds are sliding across the room when the train passes by in that episode. Lol. ,No chairs move or anything but you can definitely feel the vibration somewhat when the Acela is passing. The staff here is amazing. Very very social and professional. Always smiling and happy. Very relaxed and calm staff. Greetings coming and going which is a major plus. The overall cleanliness is amazing. No trash cans overflowing nor empty toilet paper rolls in the bathroom. Soap dispensers are loaded with soap and the sinks have somewhat good water pressure. The overall environment is very relaxed and very calm. The general crowd is very highly disciplined. Mainly adults. Some kids. All very highly disciplined. There's an attached parking lot on both sides of the station as well as bike racks with surveillance. During the night time, The station is very well lit to deter crime which is another plus. Overall A++++++, The best part of the Odenton station is the staff. Tolls were even lifted, so it was also free. Parking on site for game day is around $50. So big savings. The ride in was smooth and after 4-5 stops the arrival is st the stadium. I am deducting 1.5 star due to issues on the return train to my car. The train had issues with the car overfilled and a door not closing. It delayed us around 25 minutes. Of note the parking lot boast car chargers. I also felt completely safe. 3.5 rounding up and recommend.

This isn't Grand Central Terminal, but it's got a ticket machine and some shelters, which are all pretty clean. Trains come by towards Baltimore and towards Washington every hour, and every 20 minutes or so during peak times. Great spot for railfanning due to the view of trains coming up the grade from the south as well as trains rounding the curve up north. Amtrak services fly past at 125 MPH (You can only get on MARC trains here).

This is a better MARC station than many. The parking lot is very big and the platform is long and…read morewith several overhangs to avoid the rain. It also has a ramp to the platform from the parking lot and an elevator, if you can't do stairs. The north-bound platform is on the side with the parking lot. For the southbound platform, you have to either take stairs or the elevator to a pedestrian bridge across the tracks to the opposite side. Beware that the elevator is slow and not very big, so there will likely be a wait to use it.

This station services the commuters of Baltimore working in Washington DC. It also makes stops at several towns along the route. One way ticket costs $8. The small lobby was clean and well lit at night. Only problem is the limited operating hours. The last train leave Baltimore to DC at 8:05 a.m. The 1st train leaves DC at 4:13 p.m. for commuters going home. There are no services in between those two times. If you plan accordingly, it is a cheap way to travel to DC from Baltimore for sight touring.

The Camden MARC station is right on the back end of the Light Rail - all I have to do is hop off the train in the morning, and there I am, no walking, no inconvenience. There's only two tracks, so the train will come in on one or the other. There's a small waiting room for those who don't want to freeze to death. And the conductors seem to be a lot friendlier on this line as well, so that's a plus. There are a couple of negatives that prevent this from being a 5-star review: - The Camden line itself doesn't run enough trains. There's maybe 4 or 5 in the morning, 3 at night - that's it. I'm surprised, as this line goes through Laurel, which is really heavily populated. - The Camden line runs those awful single-level cars where everyone's squished into their seats. It's rare to get a bi-level car, but when you do, there's nothing better. This line is much quieter than Penn (despite having almost as many passengers) and, in my opinion, better run. If it was convenient to me in the afternoon I'd use it (unfortunately it takes twice as long to get home), but for the morning run it's perfect - I get off at Greenbelt, transfer to the Green line on WMATA, that's it - no more fussing around at Union Station trying to fight the masses on the Red line.... Love me some Camden.

Boarding Amtrak is also relaxed compared to airports with security and the massive crowds. In the north east corridor I often ride the train as it's just easier particularly between Baltimore, DC Philly, New York and Boston.

Going in was easy, while leaving was delayed for an hour plus, but I can blame that on Amtrak, not this place. Outside of the various Amtrak services, you can also use this spot for the local MARC or as the terminus for the Light Rail. Going back felt like a bit of a schlep as the taxi lane was very overcrowded, but it's a transit station so it's almost expected. Compared to some other stations I've been to, this one felt relatively small. The ceiling was nice, and the place was relatively clean, with some of the space feeling a bit underused. Otherwise, the only food options were a Dunkin' Donuts, which appears a bit pricier than usual, and a convenience store with a relatively nice selection of snacks as well as some t-shirts and other touristy things. Along with these, there was a vending machine or two. There's pretty adequate seating, and the staff member I interacted with there answered a question I had regarding the aforementioned delayed train. I would comment on the bathroom, but I didn't go. Perfectly decent small train station. I prefer some other places, but it worked for what it was.
