Really disappointed in this experience as a whole. I'm a Juicy Lucy foodie, born and raised blocks from both Matt's and 5-8. Crooked Pint says they're awarded for their JLs. I'm not sure how. We arrived at 619. The restaurant was nearly empty. Shocking for a Saturday night. We sat outside. There were two other tables with people. 6 total people. We ordered immediately when we were sat (we looked online and knew what we wanted). About 20 minutes later (640) the server came back and said "your food will be out any minute". Well, food came out at 705, 45 minutes after we got there and ordered. And it was wrong. I ordered the Pickle Juicy Lucy without romaine. It came out with a whole bunch of shredded romaine on it. Sauce was mixed into the romaine so I couldn't even separate it. I told the server. She acted like she hadn't seen the PILE of romaine on my burger. Lol. The cheese that's supposed to be stuffed inside had pretty much all come out. There was about 1/2 a Kraft slice worth of cheese in the burger at best. Nothing special at all. I upgraded to the cheese curd side and it tasted like what you get at Culver's. Again. Nothing special. 18.33 for a burger and fast food side was pretty disappointing. Service was really disappointing. I didn't send my burger back because it had already taken 45 minutes to get it. I wasn't going to wait another 45. Server didn't even apologize. We have had countless problems with service at The Crooked Pint in Mankato, MN. Today, the final straw was drawn. When we walked in at 11:22AM the restaurant was nearly empty. We were seated almost immediately. This was pleasing to us as we have had bad experiences with service in the past. But... there was worse to come. We take a seat and initially the waitress is somewhat attentive, takes our drink and appetizer orders and brings us our cheese curds in due time. Then, she takes our meal order which consisted of a burger, 2 chicken strip baskets, and a kids meal. 45 minutes pass before we see our food. We begin to "enjoy" our meal. My Juicy Lucy has absolutely no cheese inside. I however, did not make any objection because I had already waited 45 minutes for my meal, I was not going to wait 45 more for them to fix this. The chicken strips were described as "hardly luke-warm" by the people at my table who had ordered them. My mother attempted to get a refill of her water... 20 minutes passes before water is brought out. All in all, I'm quite disappointed in all aspects of this restaurant. Food was 50/50....recommend the Mac n cheese juicy Lucy and chicken spiced nut salad that our server Allie. Margherita pizza was way too heavy pesto and no fresh tomato or balsamic to counter that taste. If you are handicapped , please note that the bathrooms are gender neutral with full walls and doors, so that's greatbifntou need a physical assistance, However, there is no power to assist for either the main entrance or bathroom doors, making it very difficult to enter the venue OR restrooms alone. Note to management... The handicapped bars need to be accessible next to the toilet. Your contractor mounted the dispensary and toilet paper holder directly under the grab bar...making it impossible to GRAB the bar to transfer independently. Food, I have had the Juicy Lucy, boneless wings, fries, club sandwich & poutine. California Lucy - it was good, not great. The cook was nice and the cheese didn't burn off my face, I'm not sure, but it almost tastes like a frozen patty... Boneless wings- these are actually pretty good, they have a nice crisp and light texture. Easily could be a portion for two. These are also more like chicken finger, not nuggets/wings. Recommend Club sandwich - also, pretty good. This is a large portion, possibly for two. Recommend Fries - average Poutine - pass... this is a sloppily ham-handed concoction that falls well short of the finish line The service.... Ok, it feels like a 20yo is running the place, and they have a bunch of 16yo hosts & servers. It is fairly chaotic if not straight up challenging. Good luck tracking your server down. A destination location with something for everyone. Great menu options to accommodate the pickiest of eaters. Wide variety of beer on tap, excellent bourbon selection as well. Waitstaff was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and the entertainment options. With a wide variety of entertainment for everyone including pickleball courts, kids arcade, hockey rink, duck pin bowling, golf simulators and more. Food isn't great, subpar at best. The service is so-so, been here a few times now and the sit down service is pretty slow.

It's hard to leave a review when we were never served amything. We were told a 15 minute wait to get seated. Ok, fine. They said there was a backup in the kitchen. After a half hour we asked about being seated, and after the staff talked it over awhile we were finally seated. About 10 minutes we were told it would be an hour to get food. NOT THE WAY A FOOD ESTABLISHMENT should be run. I said if things were that bad a CLOSED SIGN should be on the door. The young boy at the host stand just looked at me like I was from outer space. Everyone "working" there looked to be about 17 or 18. On a Saturday night I would have expected a supervisor there to make sure things were running better. This was a large group order at my work - my flatbread over done as seen in this photo, another order of wings over done, a burger didn't come with all the fixings requested in the order and it wasn't cooked the way it was supposed to. Stopped in for a late lunch and we ordered a burger and waitress asked if we wanted fries, garlic fries, Tator tots and we said garlic fries. Got our meal and I don't think they were garlic fries. Then I requested dill pickles for my hamburger. Waitress brought sweet pickles . Had 2 beers and when we got the bill we were charged $0.75 or the pickles and $3.25 for the garlic fries. Every time we come I feel like it gets worse and worse... the servers are super nice but the kitchen is sooooo so slow. we have averaged about an hour- hour and a half wait for food after we gave our order to your server. The soup ordered at our table was stuff like nacho cheese and tasted powdery... definitely not "soup" consistency. When a different server than our own (idk who she was she was running drinks and random stuff to tables) brought ranch over that was forgotten, I took the ranch off the plate she was holding thinking she would just take the plate back with her... she almost tossed the empty plate to the middle of our table and walked away as the plate wobbled around in circles on the table. It was very awkward and rude. The food is mediocre compared to other crooked pints I've been to (Rochester and Minneapolis). This place overall needs a lot of work. read more

I ordered a " Salisbury steak " which was basically a burger with salty gravy on it, served with very lil mash potatoes for $20 bucks is mind blowing for and meal that I was basically a tv dinner. I've been to Crooked Pint about 10 times... The 1st few months after opening were primarily sketchy service and slow cook times... but over the past 5 times (in the past 6 weeks) that I've been there, the staff has improved 10-fold. Beer selection is great, the food I've tried has been very good (Philly Lucy, regular Lucy, club sammy, fish sammy, and asian tacos), with the lone exception of the chips and queso (not so good). No restaurant is perfect, I'm definitely a what have you done for me lately customer. I would have given 1 star the 1st few times here, but the way things have turned around, I would certainly recommend now at 5 stars. Keep up the great work! read more

The worst meal I've had. I ordered the golden barbeque boneless chicken wings with a side of French fries. Husband had the steak burger with substitute of tator tots. It took around 45 minutes to get our food. It was lunch time on a Friday Sept 29th and not busy at all. The wings were huge, but the sauce was horrible. I tried eating them but only got thru 1 and quit. They were so bad! Husband's burger was pretty good, but the tots were close to being burned and again, awful. Very bad meal for a $40 lunch! Brought home leftovers only to throw everything out the next day. As hard as I tried, I could not make the wings better. Nothing could be done for the tots. Waste of money. Will never return.
