Let's get one thing straight. A "round sicilian slice" is just a deep dish pizza. But this is one of the FEW places that serves it north of 110 st in Manhattan. In the Bronx one is limited to Margharita slices or the old fashioned NY floppy slice. Usually cooked in a brick or coal oven. Their cheese-less onion, pepper and tomato slice was rich and crispy. The term Deep Dish typically refers to that stuff they eat in Chicago, which is good, but which also is NOT pizza. Anyway, the Crosby round sicilian topped with pepperoni is excellent. This has got to be the best pizza shop EVER!! I ordered buffalo chicken pizza with extra cheese. It was like a dream. They make the pizza perfectly the way you want it. living in DC area since 2000, this is first stop once I get home to the Bronx. Crosby's White Slice is better than any other creation man has invented in human history. The ricotta is so sweet and fresh and milky, as is the mozzarella - the dough has flavor and the perfect chewiness-crispness ratio. Their regular is the bomb -- though 2 (of 5) siblings and 1 (of 2) parents swear Louie and Ernies has a better regular, I cannot agree. I regularly bring people not from NY when they come up to visit and they don't know what hit them - and realize the garbage they've been eating all their lives is not in the same species as Crosby pizza. This place is changing. Vinny, one of the original pizza makers, is semi-retired, and the pizza is only *really good* when Vinny is there. Otherwise, the pizza is adequate enough. A lot of local pizzerias have been going down the tubes in the past few years. This place is better than most. The pizza is fresh, the garlic knots are on the doughy side, and the calzones are pretty good (as per my sister, since I don't eat calzones). They don't clean the tables often enough, so when you sit down don't be surprised at the drops of grease sticking to the table. The staff is efficient and even when it's crowded the wait time is pretty short. This place is always crowded on Fridays during Lent. On the bright side, this is a good place to bring your outside-NYC relatives to. They think this pizza is top notch. I guess taste is subjective depending on where you live. read more

Crosby Pizza has become my family's favorite pizza shop in the area! Deliveries are always speedy and the pizza is deliciousssss.

This is a neighborhood favorite. The employees are really friendly and make good pizza. They have a variety of slices. It gets pretty crowded here at certain times in the afternoon but usually you can find a seat. The problem here and with most places on this street is the parking. Truck unloading for delivery double park and there is only metered parking. read more

Crosby Pizza handled a catering job for an important function for me (25 people with 1 weeks notice). The owner took my order personally and was open to any items I wanted at a VERY good price compared to others ..I checked. Even though I didn't fall into the delivery zone, they delivered my order. However I did order 4 pizza pies from them IN PERSON on super bowl Sunday about three years ago and when I went to pick up the order.....nothing was ready and my order had been "lost." Another neighborhood staple that has been around for decades. There is nothing fancy about it, and that's exactly what an authentic pizzeria is supposed to be. Killer calzones as well. Their Sicilian pie is round, unlike the traditional rectangle shape pie, and definitely knocks it out of the park. Can't beat this place. read more

Expensive pizza cheap sizes low quality food and a no longer accessible backyard dining area. What happened to this place. Mangias pizza across the street is price wise a little more expensive but not for the quality or size of the dishes and pizza, a large FULL slice covered with a variety of high quality toppings that are not laid skimpy for only $4.75 even. Yet here at Crosby it's 25¢ cheaper and literally less than half the size and half the toppings. read more
