This pizzeria is a joke. I called asked for the price of a small pie. I was quoted a 10.50 for a pie. The pie gets here burned and looks like they just took individual slices thrown together and burned them. They send another out just as burned and then I see a charge for 17.50 on my card for two of the worst pies I've ever received from any pizzeria without any indication that they were altering the charge. Never again will I call and give my card details over the phone to anyone. These people are thieves and are trying to sell garbage as food. read more

Have tried their pizza about 6 times and every time they skimp on the olive oil,tomato sauce tastes like tomato paste, small amount of cheese, crust always tastes like cardboard. I always ordered Pizza from this place for years, and NP, owner by the name of Mario cool guy, But now lately they have become a shitty restaurant. I was ordering almost every weekend but not anymore past today. They have sent me old hard cold pizza, like if you can't tell pizza was either from early morning or the day before, SMFH... I am so upset & disappointed. Never again will i order from this place. My friends and I found this place today when we were looking to get lunch right before visiting the New York Botanical Garden. The pizza is not expensive (2.75 for a Sicilian I think) and tastes great! Huge slices, too, so definitely bang for your buck. This is a large slice, with a tasty sauce and a generous amount of cheese to please any cheese lover. The man who served it, whom I believe might be the owner, was so friendly and had the sweetest smile, and even gave me a free garlic knot. As far as garlic knots go, it was larger in size than most, and quite delicious. Note that they seem to like to serve the pizza here extra crispy, so if you don't like your crust too charred, let it be known. They have many different toppings for the pizza and also serve food other than pizza, like humongous calzones and pastas. You can tell this place, with its little tables covered with vinyl and checkered tablecloths, and I hope it stays for a long time. It's a homey place with lovely people managing it; so do stop in for a bite. It's also very close to the NYBG so if you are visiting, do make this your destination after a long walk through the grounds makes you hungry. read more

My son absolutely loves this pizza. At four years old he knows the difference between this pizza and other nearby pizzerias. The slices are gigantic and very fresh. The crust is enjoyable and you are guaranteed to be full from eating one slice. Pizza is flavorful not bland. They also throw in a couple free garlic knots. This was actually a decent place to order pizza from. Being that there's another pizza shop directly across the street, we chose this one. At least for delivery. Until I went in there to order a pie to go and the same person is taking orders is taking cash, and making pizza without washing his hands and without gloves And then they have a very creepy looking delivery person he's the type of person you wouldn't normally open the door for if he wasn't holding your food. But everybody need to work right? so going to have to find another place to order pizza from can't order from this place anymore it's a little cluttered it's a little dusty in there. I stopped in for lunch today and received extremely burnt pizza crammed into a box way too small. "Don't close the lid" is what I was told. Ordered at 7:45pm. Called at 8:30 asking if my food was on its way. The person who answered said that they were very busy and I needed to wait. Okay fine. I wait. I get a call at 8:50 from the place (different person) saying the delivery guy came and no one answered the door. I live in an apartment building so you need to ring the bell downstairs. My bell never rang. I told the man on the phone that his delivery person did not ring my bell and he told me "yes he did". I gave up at that point and just waited for it to be delivered again. If the first person who answered would have actually checked on my order instead of rushing me off maybe this whole situation could have been prevented. The pizza was delicious and still warm. (Which makes me feel like that was the first attempt at them delivering, but what do I know) however; I could have done without the crappy customer service and would have appreciated an apology.
