    They would not take her to vaccinate, they are not there for animals that really need help. I was paying.

    Im very disappointed in this clinic. I rescued a small shiatsu doggy that was down by highway 90. She is severally matted with growths of fur mounts all over here. I walked in around 9am and asked if they could squeeze me in today to get her vaccinated so that I could take her to get groomed and dipped. Needless to say, they turned me away saying they would not sqeeze the poor doggie in and to make an appointment for next week.

    Compared to most vets this place is very affordable. They don't seem very thorough with their exams, or cleanliness.. they tried to tell me my dog had fleas when in fact the fleas were in the exam room from previous animals... definitely shows no cleaning between patients. My dog had his heart worm fast kill treatment here it was about $500 total which I'm grateful for. My lab left with a tick on him he didn't come in with..... the vet is very short and to the point they don't seem to have a lot of explanation for any questions I have.. the place could definitely be cleaned more throughout the day and even if you have an appointment expect to wait 30 min at least to be seen even if you show up when they open. I don't know what the disconnect is here but I wish they'd be more on time and cleaner and I'm sure they'd have better business. My pets are always comfortable here and we typically chose to stay in the car until they're ready which is a nice perk they offer instead of the waiting room. The front desk lady did try to tell me I was late for my appointment but in reality I was waiting in line for 20 min after I got there just to say i needed to check in... the staff definitely needs a reality check on work ethic

    Treat you and your pets like family. Caring staff and friendly too. Will continue taking my animal to them.

    Sweet staff, always takes great care of my dog charlie. We've switched medications to better treat him and always a breeze to stop by.

Instead, they said only Revolution could be comped, which is a 1 month topical, not the 2 month medication I was originally told about. At that point, it's not even about the money, it's the principle. I made my decision based on the information your staff gave me, and then it completely changed when I got there. So now: * My cat Tilly was stressed in a crate for over an hour for no reason * My time was wasted * Your front desk staff had to deal with a frustrated client (I know it's not entirely their fault they are doing their best and are very kind) * Your clinic lost a customer entirely All over a single dose of medication that could have easily been honored. Annabelle departed this life and we were treated with the utmost of care and comfort anyone could imagine. Now, we have one-year-old Emma. Emma began her care at The Zoo for her first examination as soon as she arrived at our home. She is cared for with the same loving care. Never have I had a negative experience at Atascazoo. Never have I been disappointed with our vets or the staff. Do NOT allow someone's judgmental review keep you from giving your pets excellent care at this very professional animal hospital.

We have 6 dogs at this clinic with various issues. He is able to refer you to another practice for specialties (one dog had to have an eye removed due to cancer) or cost (we have a pup with AIHA- a lifelong anemia). Dr. Ressell calls in evenings after surgeries and big events to check on you, answer questions, etc. WE HAVE NEVER HAD A VET WHO TOOK SUCH CARW FOR HIS PATIENTS OR THEIR OWNERS. Last week the time finally came to put our beloved Floyd to sleep. Due to COVID restrictions, no one is allowed inside. So they brought our sweet pup out to us and gave us as much time as we wanted to say our heartbreaking goodbyes. Dr. Ressell even came outside and sat on the ground with us to explain everything!! I wanted medication and advice from a professional, as the spot was close to his eye. I called ahead to ensure they could take me and asked if I needed an appointment, they said no appointment was needed and it was first-come, first-serve. After checking in at the front desk and putting $250 deposit down, the receptionist informed me it would be a three hour wait (there was only one other person in the lobby and it was 8:30am). I asked if I had the option to leave with my dog and come back, or if I needed to stay. She said I had to stay right there in the lobby. She then proceeded to make two phone calls where she spoke about my dog (which is completely normal and expected) but she also recited to the person on the other end that she told me it'd be three hours... in a less professional tone. To wait three hours with a high energy dog on a leash in a lobby is not fair to the dog. It was not until I was visibly upset (from my dog squirming, feeling stuck as I'd given them $250 already, and from hearing myself be spoken about) that all of a sudden they provided me the option of dropping him off and returning when they were ready for him, or waiting in a back room where he could have more space. If these other options for waiting were available, why not just make them available from the beginning when the wait is so long? Why did they not share the wait time on the phone when I called ahead? Thank you to the one employee that saw me upset and took pity on me to get us into a backroom for our wait. He was incredibly hospitable. The front desk and general waiting process need to be reexamined.

There is little, if any, wait time, which is particularly great when I bring in more than one dog at a time. The waiting room and exam rooms are bright, cheerful and sparkling clean. They - the entire office - treated me, not only that I wasn't there in their building, but as though I didn't exist. At all. I bawled all the way home and most of the rest of the day. Although Dr Walsh did apologize, she didn't call to talk about this - just didn't care. I simply no longer existed, the end. And, neither did my fur-baby.
