Equipment is the newest but isn't old either. They are currently in the process of switching out the cardio equipment (current treadmills have TVs built in and that is going away). They also have your standard child care facility, locker rooms, a basketball court, sauna, and pool. There are no racquet ball courts at this facility. Staff is nice but changes out a good bit. This is my normal location. Like other locations it can get pretty crowded especially in the afternoons or on Saturday mornings.

It is a very open, clean and bright work area. There are tanning beds which I have tried a couple of times and they are clean and work nicely. I have yet to try the massage chairs and the water table massages, but that is also included with my black card membership. It is a reasonable price for all the amenities you get. They don't play the music too loud. They do run the fans on high over the cardio equipment and I usually get chilly, but I am glad they are there once I get warmed up. There are TVs everywhere to watch news, soaps and movies. The workers are friendly and helfpul.

There is often no soap available in the showers, the sauna and spa areas are filthy, paint is peeling throughout the facility, many of the machines are old and outdated, and the pool has not been properly heated for months. The pool was originally scheduled to be closed for maintenance from mid-March through April 16. However, as of May 29, it is still not fully operational. The heater remains broken, leaving the water uncomfortably cold. Throughout this process, members have repeatedly been told the issue would be fixed "tomorrow," "next week," "over the weekend," or "today." We were also told they were waiting to locate a pool heater repair specialist. Unfortunately, the promised timelines have continually come and gone without resolution, leaving many members frustrated and disappointed. After months of dealing with the pool issues, I began raising my concerns with management. The blonde manager who works the front desk during the late mornings was kind enough to refund my April membership dues due to the ongoing problems. However, when I requested a refund for May, I was told she had gotten into trouble for issuing too many refunds and could no longer assist me. At that point, I decided to cancel my membership. I do not believe anyone should have to continue paying for services that are not being properly provided. I contacted corporate, filed a formal complaint regarding the pool situation and refund request, and closed my account. I have since joined the YMCA and have been much happier with my experience. Until significant improvements are made to this location, I would strongly encourage others to consider alternative fitness facilities. Hopefully management will either invest in meaningful upgrades or take the necessary steps to address the many ongoing issues affecting members. What is most disappointing is that they were apparently willing to lose a paying customer rather than refund $39.00 for a service that has not been fully available for months. In the end, that decision cost them far more than a single refund--it cost them a member.

She tried to lie and tell me I had to use the classes within eight weeks- she was unhappy that I was bringing my son once a week and clearly literally wanted me to blow through the classes as fast as possible to put more money in their pockets instead of Groupon. I actually had a very polite response because of the type of person I am. I explained to her & showed her there is absolutely no details in the Groupon that says I have to use the classes within 8 weeks and as a Business owner myself I would recommend her changing this on groupon. I also told her because of this, I was entitled to a refund since I obviously did not and would not be receiving the services I was promised. My son attended 6 out of 10 classes & I paid for 10. When I showed her the Groupon she knew I had caught her in a lie because I had! Even after I had to explain to her that my busy & demanding schedule doesn't allow for me to commit to come twice a week -she continued by telling me that my son would receive no benefit of attending their classes once weekly and literally said to me more than once I might as well not come back if I can't come twice a week. The entire conversation on her behalf was inappropriate to have in front of my son. I felt pressured and completely uncomfortable. I was able to receive a full refund from Groupon as their customer service is outstanding and the representative fully understood my concerns! There are plenty of places to take your children for karate that offer once a week classes. My son left upset with ME & her about not being able to come back!! She literally made me the villain in the story in front of my son that is unbelievably cruel! I believe her husband, the instructor was one of the best I've seen- very kind and had a wonderful approach with the children although his wife completely lost my business! I attached the Groupon information so everyone can clearly see there is nothing in here that says if I buy 10 classes I must use them within 8 weeks!
